After a long day, the sun was about to go down, and I found myself feeling a bit tired. As I walked around, I couldn't help but wonder where Yui had disappeared to.
"Where did she go?" I muttered to myself.
Just then, I spotted Sakura and Aoi walking together. They noticed me and greeted me with smiles.
"Kousei-kun? What are you doing?" Sakura asked.
"Ahh... You two, do you know where Yui went?"
Sakura and Aoi exchanged glances and then shrugged. "Sorry, we're not sure either," Aoi said.
"I see. I guess I'll just wait for her then."
"Eh? Wait for her? Really?" Sakura asked, surprised by my response.
I nodded. "Yeah, I want to talk to her before I head home."
"Will you be fine?" Aoi chimed in. "She might have already gone home."
"Have you tried calling her number, Kousei-kun?" Sakura asked.
I straightened myself, feeling a bit embarrassed. "About that... I haven't added her in my contacts yet."
Sakura and Aoi exchanged amused glances. "Kousei-kun, you really are something else," Aoi chuckled.
"But don't worry," Sakura said with a reassuring smile. "I'm sure she's okay. Yui is a responsible person, and she'll make sure to inform you if she's going to be late."
"Yeah, she won't leave you hanging," Aoi added.
I nodded, feeling a sense of relief. "You're right. Thanks, guys.
Though I'm still worried but then I decided to get back home.
As I opened the door, I was surprised to see Yui standing there in nothing but her underwear and an apron. She greeted me with a shy smile. "G-Good evening. D-Do you want to take a bath first? Or have dinner? O-o-or... me...?" Her cheeks turned red as she looked at me with a hint of nervousness.
Excuse me what?
I was taken aback by her unexpected appearance and quickly averted my eyes. "S-Sorry, I must be in the wrong house." I started to close the door.
But just as I was about to leave, Yui grabbed my arm, stopping me. "W-Wait!"
I tried to pull away, but she had a surprisingly strong grip. "Why does she have such a strong grip!?" I thought to myself, feeling flustered.
"I-I thought b-boys would like this kind of stuff!" Yui stammered, clearly embarrassed.
"Hahh!? Who said that!?" I blurted out, my face turning bright red.
"S-Sakura-chan..."
That damn mischievous girl!
"W-Wait! Before I go inside! Do you mind putting your clothes on!?" I hastily asked, trying to avert my eyes from her half-dressed state.
"Eh? O-Okay!" She quickly released my arm, and I stumbled back, landing on the floor with a soft "Oof!" I couldn't help but wonder why she was so strong.
After a few minutes, Yui opened the door again, now properly dressed. "C-Come in," she said with a hint of shyness in her voice.
I cautiously entered her house, still feeling a bit flustered from the earlier encounter.
"Yui-san..."
"Y-Yes? Dear?" Her endearing use of "dear" made my heart skip a beat.
I took a deep breath before speaking. "I have a lot of questions, but first... Did you check my room?"
She shook her head. "No, I didn't go inside."
"Good. Whatever you do... Do not... Enter... the room," I warned her with a serious tone.
Yui nodded, her expression indicating that she understood.
"Actually, I have the bath prepared," she said, trying to change the subject, and I could see a bright smile forming on her face.
Her wifey aura was almost blinding, and I had to shake my head to clear my thoughts. But then, another concern came to mind.
"Do you know where Nazuna is?"
"Hm? Your little sister is... sleeping on the couch."
"W-Well... She fainted when I visited your home. I thought I did something bad..." Yui looked worried.
Ah, that makes sense. Nazuna is a huge fan of Yui, after all.
"I'll go put my bag in my room first, and then we can have dinner," I said, heading upstairs. As I entered my room, I couldn't help but feel relieved that Yui didn't go inside. I put my bag down and quickly returned to the kitchen.
"Let's go."
Yui nodded, a bright smile on her face, and we both sat down at the table.
The sight before me was impressive. The table was filled with a colorful array of dishes: fried rice, miso soup, and hamburger steak – my favorite.
"T-That's a lot..."
"Eh? I-I see..." Yui blushed
"But I'm not complaining. It all looks amazing."
She looked up at me, her eyes sparkling with happiness. "Thank you, dear... Hehehe." Her grin widened.
I couldn't help but feel my heart skip a beat at the affectionate way she called me "dear." It was definitely going to take some getting used to
