Asaka: ZZ…ZZ...ZZ...…ZZ

After crying her heart out, Asaka fell asleep in Primis arms. He hugged her with one arm and used the other to pat her head.

Primis: Let's go.

He said as he picked her up and disappeared along with them.

They appeared some distance away from the forest. There they saw an armored vehicle which was surrounded by many Gastreas. This was the very vehicle that Asaka, her promoter and others used to arrive here.

CRACKLING!!!

Blue flames erupted from Primis body suddenly. Before any of the Gastrea could react, all of them were burnt to nothing.

Because of Primis micro control over his power, the flames only killed Gastrea while the other things unaffected.

Since the vehicle was attacked by Gastreas, it was badly damaged. Seeing this, Scáthach walked up to it and draw a rune on it.

SHINE!!

A light shone before the entire vehicle was repaired.

Scáthach: By the way Lord, why we need this vehicle? If we want, we can instantly reach Tokyo area.

Primis: Because I am not in hurry.

Moving his gaze to the Horizon, he spoke.

Primis: Let some more people and side characters die.

Ophis: I see. So, that's how it is.

Said Ophis as she joined the pieces together and guessed Primis thoughts.

Ophis: Even though you plan adopt the Cursed Children, many of them who are assigned to a "Promoter" would be loyal to them.

Primis: Yeah. Since they will be going to be our enemy, it would be better if they die.

Scáthach: *sigh* Even though Humans have common enemy, the conflict between humans never end.

Ophis: Truly a world not worth saving. In the end, the Cursed Children become the target of their animosity.

Primis: Anyway, let's take our time.

'Primis: I am more worried about other things.'

[Like?]

'Primis: Are there Gastreas beyond "Stage VI"?'

[...............… You know what, Primis. You really say some scary things.]

Ignoring Twilight, Primis opened the vehicle's door and let Ophis enter before entering himself with Asaka in his arms. While Scáthach opened the door from the other side and took the driver seat. She started the engine, and they left the area.

Primis opened the Twilight's shop and bought few things. Like A Syringe, Vial, Gastrea Virus, and its Antidote.

Moving Asaka sleeve back, he used the syringe to draw out her blood.

Asaka: Uh...…Um...…

Her body flinched a little in pain before she snugged in Primis embrace as if looking for protection. He hugged her tightly and removed the Syringe since it had taken enough blood.

Putting it into his inventory, Primis opened another Twilight's window in front of him and did somethings.

An icon of Call appeared on it.

Soon someone picked it.

/// Haruka: It's better. After Guild Master got rid of "Apocalypse Virus", GHQ collapsed. Undertakers didn't let go of this chance and took the full control from them. Now, alongside Japan government, Undertaker, or should I say "Funeral Parlor" has become one of the major powers all around the World. ///

'Primis: Well, Gai definitely won't let go of such opportunity.'

/// Haruka: Shu......Well, after your and Inori's 'death', he matured a lot and started to take his responsibilities seriously. ///

Glancing at the Ophis sitting by his side, Primis continued.

When Haruka took a sigh of relief on her side, Primis continued.

/// Primis: Second thing I am sending is the antidote of the virus. Take it the first thing after you will receive it. ///

After giving some instructions to her, Primis cut the call and send the "Gastrea Virus", "Antidote" and "Asaka Blood" to her for the research.

[Do you think she will succeed? The doctors and scientist of this world has been trying for almost 9 years without any success.]

'Primis: I am certain, she will.'

[If you say so.]

Primis: I will leave their combat training to you, Scáthach.

Scáthach: Yes, My Lord.

Giving a side glance to the sleeping Asaka in Primis embrace, she continued.

Scáthach: She or others are not ready to enter "Stairway to Heavens" yet.

Ophis: Um. Its currently beyond them.

Nodded Primis as he also agreed.

Next, he changed his posture and rested his head on Ophis shoulder.

'Primis: I guess I will take an hour nap.'

[Oh. Now that's surprising. To think you will decide to rest.]

'Primis: I think from now on I will take an hour nap every day.'

After losing the war to Gastrea in the year 2021, Japan admits defeat, surrendering to the beastly parasites. However, not long after, Japan introduces humanity to the Monoliths, which gave them hope.

Monoliths, dark-colored barriers, 1.618 kilometers in height, and 1 kilometer in width, were created from Varanium after mankind lost the war. The magnetic field emitted from Varanium prevents Gastrea from approaching the Monoliths, let alone enter the protected areas.

However, in spite of the strong magnetic field they emit, Gastrea, in very rare occasions, are able to invade the areas surrounded by the barriers. It's stated that the Monoliths stood no chance against the power of a Stage V Gastrea, also known as the Zodiac Gastrea, and that if one is released, it would mean the destruction of the world. It is, broadly speaking, believed that the entire world relied on these barriers for survival and protection.

Currently there are five protected areas in Japan where Humans live without the fear of Gastrea for the time being. Namely, Sapporo, Sendai, Hakata, Osaka, and Tokyo.

The Tokyo Area is an extensive metropolis occupied by Cursed Children, humans and, rarely, invading Gastrea. Several parts of the Tokyo Area appear as an abandoned wasteland, whilst others strike one as flourishing towns. The buildings are tall and vast, and of different shapes.

The streets of a flourishing town appear highly populated and with expensive technology, having a large screen for public view engraved on a building. Several stores are also available for civilians, with the currency being in Yen.

Outside of the Tokyo Area, abandoned Cursed Children reside. Further outwards, the area known as the Unexplored Territory itself is infected with several Stage IV Gastrea and is nothing more than a barren wasteland surrounded by large trees and standing on rocky terrains.

A month later.

A huge palace came into view.

It looked like it was built in the neo-Gothic style of architecture. The whole thing seemed to consist of many organic curves, with the curved glass windows that could be seen through the stone pillars that looked like bones and the area in front of the entrance slanted like waves. No matter how many times one saw it, it was always a gorgeous Western-style building.

Inside, there were folding chairs lined up in an orderly fashion, and in front of them were a spotlight and a tiered doll stand. That was probably where the spokesman always stood to smoothly answer questions from the press. Then a person walked to the podium.

She was an extremely beautiful young female of pale skin and small frame. She was gifted with thin, white eyebrows and thick, superlative white eyelashes surrounding rounds eyes that encompassed light irises. Her hair, which covered her forehead, leaving only several portions visible, was kept in messy standard; moving to the center of her face. A pack of hair fell directly to her small nose, in between her eyes. She possessed a small neck and thin lips, as well as ears that were hidden under her white hair.

She was the Governor of this Tokyo Area. Seitenshi.

True to her status, Seitenshi was dressed in a fancy white dress. The upper piece was designed with several objects donning swirling circles all over. On either side of her shoulders there were two ribbons. The bottom of the dress, covering her thighs, there was an opening revealing partial portions of her legs, which were covered by white tights. The end piece of the dress was intricately shaped to resemble cherry blossoms. Seitenshi's head was covered by a white hat that has roses-like objects attached at the side.

Directly in front of her sat a few people scattered about. It looked like she was practicing some sort of speech. Once she was prepared, she spoke.

Seitenshi: Today is a day of good fortune, and I wish health and joy on those gathered here today. Now, there are only some points I wish to speak of today. Those points are......

Her speech kept on going for some time. In Between people raised their hand to ask some questions which she answered calmly. This woman didn't just look good, but she also had good character. That's also the reason why she was so popular with the citizens.

An hour later, the press came to an end. Seitenshi left her seat and was then escorted to her room by her bodyguards. Once she reached her room, she excused herself inside while the guards stayed out.

Closing the door behind, she took a sigh. But then all of sudden, from the corner of her eyes she saw a little girl dressed in a warrior-like armor looking at her with red eyes.

Fear appeared on her face as she tried to open her mouth. However, in the next instant, the girl moved swiftly, drew out her katana and placed it at her neck. This made her stop her words.

As she was panicking, she heard a voice behind.

???: Sorry for my daughter behavior. It's just that she just doesn't want anyone to disturb us.

Turning her head slightly behind, Seitenshi saw a person sitting on her chair near the window and looking at her with his dark eyes.

Primis: Let's have a talk. Ms. Governor.
