SWOOSH!!!

Ais was hurriedly dashing towards the location of her enemy. But as she was halfway there, she saw a light shining behind her at a far distance. Stopping, she looked back at that light.

'Ais: That light is coming from Lord's direction. What is Lord up to now?'

Then she shook her head and put the question at the back of her head before continuing rushing towards her destination. Since her heart is connected with Primis, she can tell that he was not in any sort of danger or something and was completely fine.

She also looked around and saw that all the Chimeras were gone. Thinking that it also must be Primis doing, she gave a sigh of relief. Now, she can completely focus on her enemy and didn't have to worry about Chimeras sudden attack.

Soon she reached her destination and stopped. In front of her, there was an old and abandoned settlement. There were many broken houses. Almost all the house's wood had rotten with time. Vegetation could also be seen covering these huts.

Entering the settlement, Ais looked around. Next, she approached one of the huts and entered. The doors of almost all the huts were broken and were on the ground. Some huts didn't even have a door and were fully opened. Anyone could enter those huts.

Entering inside, Ais looked around. There was nothing except a rusted bucket in the corner. She would have left, but she smelled something and frowned. Then she approached the bucket.

BUZZ!!!

BUZZ!!!

BUZZ!!!

.....

...

Many flies were flying around that bucket. Once she reached the bucket, she looked inside. In the next second, her countenance changed. She hurriedly took some steps back and covered her mouth to stop herself from vomiting.

There was a blood-covered disfigured unborn child inside. The umbilical cord was not only still connected with the child but was also half eaten from the other side. Someone had ripped apart the stomach of pregnant woman and pulled that unborn child out. From the half-eaten side of umbilical cord, its fluid was also leaking out filling the bucket slightly.

Not only that, the blood of the child was also mixed with that fluid. It was just a disgusting spectacular that weak-hearted ones will have a heart-attack witnessing this. Strong hearted ones will have nightmares.

Ais: *deep breath in* *deep breath out* *deep breath in* *deep breath out*

Taking some deep breath, Ais calmed herself down. Then she again approached that bucket. Her face was slightly pale, and she was trying her best to keep her disgust at bay. She didn't want to witness it again, but still, she wanted to check something. Appearing in front of bucket, she looked inside it again. Her face turned to disgust but she continued looking.

After a few seconds of investigation, she concluded that not only the child was dead, though was the foregone conclusion. She also found that it didn't happen that long ago but occurred recently. A Week or Two. That's all.

Confirming that, Ais turned and left the hut. Her expression was not good though. It's true that she had seen many cruelties in Orario, heck, she had even witnessed some in the Capital too. However, none were as savage as this.

Once out, she decided to go to another hut. Upon entering she didn't see anything out of the ordinary. Seeing that there was nothing like the one before she turned to leave. But the moment she turned she saw something which made were stop on her tracks.

When she entered this hut, she didn't check the wall at side. Now that she turned, she saw something too. Behind a farming fork was embedded on the wall. That fork was impaling a bloody half body. Yes, half. The body was only till waist. There was nothing down.

The skin on the entire body was torn apart. There were only ripped muscles, and veins which were dangling down were spilling blood on the ground. That was not all. The lower mouth and the front throat of the body were also missing. Not only its tongue but its food pipe of the body could be seen.

Witnessing this, Ais closed her eyes before hastily leaving the hut. Once outside, she kept on taking a deep breath. Her heart was beating violently. Once she calmed down, she turned her gaze to other huts. After witnessing those gore things, she really didn't want to watch anything like this. Taking a deep breath again, she closed her eyes and sat on the ground to rest for a minute. She was not afraid of surprise attack since she already activated her wind domain around her.

1 minute later.

Ais opened her eyes. She had calmed down a lot by now. Before continuing what, she was doing, she started to give thought to the things she witnessed.

'Ais: According to Lord, this island got separated from Wakoku thousand years ago due to war. And the failed experiments conducted here give birth to Chimeras. However, since the mind of Chimeras are broken and they could only depend on their wild instincts, they can't do something like this. So, this means this was done by someone else........................'

Then as if realization struck Ais, her eyes widened as she hurriedly got up.

'Ais: Looks like Chimeras were not the only things that were living on this island.'

Ais then focused her mind and covered the entire settlement in her wind domain. Soon, she sensed the breathing in some distance. Sensing this, she hurriedly dashed towards the location. Many Huts came along the way, but Ais ignored all of them. At first, she thought that the things she saw only happened inside the hut. However, as she was rushing towards her destination, she saw such things even in the open.

Some outside the hut. Some on top of the roofs of these huts. Some on the roads. Some on other things like wooden boxes, rusted iron chairs, and so on. She even witnessed something that made her expression even more ugly. She saw a fire stake around which many corpses were hanging on the pikes. All of these corpses were burnt black.

As she was reaching her destination, more and more such things could be seen. Soon, even the ground on which she was running turned red. And finally, she reached her destination.

In front of her was a huge house. This was the largest house in this settlement. She moved her gaze at the broken nameplate on the ground.

'Ais: Village Head. Huh.'

Reading the name, Ais looked in front. The rusted black iron gate was now covered red with blood. On top of the two spikes of the gate, Ais witnessed two heads impaled on it. The spike was entering their severed throats and was coming out of their skulls. Their eyes were open but hollow. Because it appeared that someone had pulled their eyes out of their sockets. Their eyes blood vessels were coming out from those hollow holes.

Suppressing the disgust that was building inside her, Ais took a deep breath before deciding to enter. Since she didn't want to get her hands dirty, she used her wind to push the gate open. The Gate made some noise before opening.

CREAK!!!!!!

It was a very creepy sound at this time and in this atmosphere. Once the gate opened, Ais walked inside. The moment she was inside, the gate behind her closed.

TING!!!!!

Narrowing her eyes, Ais turned and gave a glance at the gate. Then she looked ahead and continued walking.

This place had gone through the passing of time. Tiles on the ground were broken, trees were overgrown, the sculptures broken, color faded from the wall of the house, and so on. As Ais was walking forward while looking around, she all of sudden stopped.

In front of her there was an old fountain. Even though it had stopped working, it was still filled. Ais approached the fountain and became shocked witness to what was inside.

Instead of water, the entire fountain was filled with blood. That was not the end. Several organs of human bodies could be seen floating in this blood. Eye, stomach, muscles, tissues, intestines, lungs, liver, and so on.

At this time, Ais's gaze moved towards the Well which was near this fountain. She had already somewhat guessed what she would see inside but still decided to confirm. Once she approached the Well and looked inside, it was just like she predicted. The entire well was filled with piles of corpses. The amount was so much that more than 80% of the Well was completely filled.

Looking at it for a second, Ais turned and walked to the door of the house. When she turned, Ais didn't notice that one of the corpses twisted its head backward and looked at where Ais was standing before.

Ais reached the door of the house, opened it, and entered.
