Extemporaneous Mission

"You want me to what?" Hade asked, staring incredulously at August. The magic prodigy's words had taken him completely by surprise, after all.

Upon inquest, August flashed a small smile. He was dressed in a simple black tunic, one that paired seamlessly well with his raven black hair.

With his flawless ivory skin, pristine chiseled features, and eyes that needed no introduction at this point, he looked bewitchingly handsome, even for an awakened.

Hade was handsome, too, but he certainly did not think that anyone would mistake him for a transient demigod taking a stroll among mundane humans as a pastime.

No, his own brand of good-looking was a lot more reserved and almost... cadaverlike in comparison.

"A team of students is going to leave for the Imperial City in one week's time," August reiterated slowly.

"I want you to accompany them... as my eyes and ears, if you will."
