18. The Spy

Kasan still couldn't say anything to Amira. He looked at the princess and asked her to sit in the living room. Amira, who was very tired, immediately obeyed the orders of the courtiers who disguised themselves as ordinary people. they walked hand in hand into the living room in silence.

In the center room, a young man was standing waiting for Amira and Kasan to arrive. He bowed respectfully to the princess. His eyes seemed to sparkle with joy at the presence of the woman he respected.

"You came alone, Brother Rashid?"

Rashid who was still smiled, finally looking at Amira who asked him a light question. He nodded, then smiled again

"That's right, princess."

"Huft, how many times have I told you not to call me that, Brother. I don't like hearing it at all. You and I are the same. We have the same position in the eyes of God. What makes the difference is the level of our faith and that's what God judges, Brother, Don't overestimate the position or position of others and look down on those who are lower or higher just because of one's wealth, throne, and position."

"B-but, princess, servant..."

"Never mind. Talking to you is difficult. I won't argue anymore. What you need to point out is that I don't like being called a princess by you at all. you are my brother"

"All right, princess. I'll try to be casual with you." Said Rashid while smiled again.

Amira is silent. In her heart, she laughed at the promise of Rashid who said he would act normal to her but still called her the same name. Kasan, Rashid, and Amira were still in their positions in silence. No one tried to start the conversation, making Amira sigh in annoyance. She wanted to rest, lay down on the bed and close her eyes, wander in dreamland and calm her mind to prepare the energy she would use tomorrow.

"Did you come here because of Dad's orders, Brother?'

"That's right, princess.'

"Is Daddy and Mommy in good condition? I haven't called or texted them for a few days."

Rashid smiled at Amira's confession. The young Sultan Adyaksa also said that to him. The Sultan wanted to see Amira and talk to her about the contest that was about to be held, but the Sultan was often disappointed because his daughter didn't have time to talk alone.

"The Majesty Sultan and Majesty queen are all in good health, Princess. Both of them send their best regards to Princess Amira, may the Princess always be in the protection of Allah. Her Majesty also said that he would like to hold a competition which will select the candidate for the companion prince of Princess Amira and Princess Anjani, your twin sibling, but . . . .'

Rashid hung up on his sentence and immediately lowered his head. he tries to compose the sentence so that he doesn't misspeak. One little mistake Amira will ask him something very complicated even though he has not studied the details of the implementation of the contest that will be held next week.

"Why use but? Does Daddy have to discuss with me first?"

Rashid smiled. he confirmed Amira's sentence. Indeed, at the beginning of his task only to say that the Sultan asked him to deliver news about the contest, but because of the Queen's request, the Sultan finally asked Rashid to pick up Amira and the Sultan wanted to tell the contest himself to his daughter who was outside the palace.

"Sultan wants to convey this news himself to the Princess. I was sent to pick up"

Amira shook her head. she did not think that she would be forcibly picked up by Rashid. The adopted son of the Sultan is considered a royal family. Amira looked down, trying to analyze what activities she would carry out tomorrow. She didn't want her to go anywhere from the palace because everyone would know who she was.

Amira looked at Rashid and tried to ask for a favor so that she could attend tomorrow because she wanted to finish her mission first but Rashid shook his head. he rejects Amira's opinion and forces her to leave her house at this time.

"Sorry, Princess, I will still stand here and wait for the Princess to agree to Sultan's request. I will not go home until the Princess agrees to be present in the palace at this time."

"This is what I don't like about you, Brother. What I always wanted from your presentation was that you would cheer me up and accompany me through the day without palace rules but it turns out that I have to be disappointed because you don't understand how to make your sister happy at all."

"My majesty, I am only carrying out Sultan's orders. I cannot be a friend who will always please the Princess because I know my position and position in the palace."

Amira frowned her forehead heard Rashid's sentence change. she knew something was wrong with her adoptive brother. She tried to be aware of the situation around her. There was no movement in the house, but Amira, who was used to sharpening herself in reading the situation, immediately put on alert mode.

Rashid who saw Amira's change of expression immediately smiled inwardly. he knew Amira understood the code he sent through his sentence. It seemed that no one was moving in the living room, but outside the house, Rashid felt that a spy was eavesdropping on his conversation. He used to always whisper secret sentences in Amira's ear but this time he didn't.

Rashid was afraid that spies outside the house would suspect his movements and asked him to follow him when he returned to the palace.

"Okay. I will go home tomorrow morning, Brother. Not now. Tomorrow I have an important event on campus. I am the host of a seminar organized by the Student Executive Board so tonight I have to clean up. Tell Daddy to postpone the activity until two next day."

"But Princess, how do I convey everything to Daddy? I have promised to go home with Princess Amira safe and sound. If I fail to bring you to the palace, I think I'd be better off staying here"

Amira shook her head at Rashid's words saying he wanted to stay at her house. She knew Rashid was only joking when she asked to stay, but she didn't want their jokes to attract prying eyes outside her house.

Amira was curious about spies, but she regretted her negligence. She forgot not to bring her cell phone and let the enemy move freely in the courtyard without his direct supervision. Usually, he will catch the enemy red-handed and take him to the secret base she has prepared and execute directly those who want to harm her.

"Princess, I'm in a happy mode right now. That's why I asked the Princess to be present in the palace at this time."

Rashid rolled his eyes asking Amira to pretend to agree to his request. Amira immediately nodded and said her agreement loudly so that people outside thought she was going to the palace.

"Okay Brother. I'll come with you now. Wait for me to clean up. I'll prepare all the seminar materials first, okay?"

"Very well, Your Majesty. I will wait patiently for the princess here. We will return to the palace together."

Amira and Rashid looked at each other as if they were plotting what they would do to trap the spies who had been watching them from outside. Rashid brings his lips to Kasan's ear and asks him to leave the house. Kasan nodded. The court servant who was loyal to Amira stepped out of the living room into the kitchen and tried to take the chili powder that she always kept there. she immediately stepped into the living room and out through the side door.

Amira and Rashid followed Kasan's footsteps. They tried to look around, looking for the person who had been watching them for a while but until a few minutes they came out, they had not found the figure they suspected.

"Are we going to just give up when we don't find anyone here, Brother?"

Rashid shook his head. He immediately took Amira's hand and took her to hide in the bushes that were thriving in front of her. Amira just obeyed. She was curious about the spies who came today. When they were squatting, they saw the figure of a man wearing a black shirt sitting under the window of Amira's room.
