TWENTY-FOUR: First Pain

When Kou heard such a sweat tone again, he couldn't help but tear up. How many year has it been? He didn't remember but it was a long time that he could hear such a sweat voice instead of a cold one. This made Kou slowly turned around and when he saw the glowing body of his sister Rin, his voice tremble as he question if she was real or not.

"Rin? Is that you Rin?"

The glowing woman in the back with the name of Rin didn't answer his brother question for few seconds as if thinking of something when finally, she begun explaining of why she was here.

"I am Rin, your sister. I just looked like this because God has offered me to visit you for one last time to see you and... Offer something that God told me to tell you."

There was no response from Kou but a shocked expression that beginning to calm down. Kou brain had work many times more than he usually is as the word that God is real shocked him to his core. As an assassin who do dirty jobs, he doesn't believe to the existence of such thing so he quickly looked at his sister eyes and speak about his thoughts.

"Is what you said true? There is a God in this world?"

Rin made a smile as she floated and sat on the table, in front of her brother, thus, she begun explaining.

"Yes, God is real, I saw him in person and God also made an offer for you, do you want to hear it?"

The thought of God offering him something had made Kou silent again. He couldn't help but pity himself as he recalled some memories he had with his sister. After thinking about, Kou finally gave his answer.

"Yes, I would like to hear it."

A bright smile could be seen appeared in Rin face as she start explaining the offer.

"God has seen that I died in the hand of a hero unjustly so God sent me back here to tell you that he wants to help you take revenge for me. Isn't that great brother?!

Even if it's fail and that bastard kills you like how he killed me, we will be together again. So do you accept?"

The thought of getting the power he needed for revenge made Kou heartbeat increased. To be honest, he didn't even guaranteed that he can even scratch any part of Steve skin as he watched all Steve fight that was caught on camera so he could at least know the basics and weaknesses about his opponent but unlucky, he couldn't find any weakness. Steve strength. . . He can only say that it was overwhelming.

He was going to try assassinating him with the knowledge that he will get defeated. Kou just wanted to atleast tried to kill Steve so even if it failed, he wouldn't have any regrets if he died in the confrontation. Fortunately, his sister appeared on time to save him again, like always.

"Yes! I agree!"

The second Kou said those words, he was immediately transported to another space. Where he can only see complete darkness but there was something more shocking about this, there is a giant body in this voice full of flesh and bones with no face.

As Kou looked around more, he instinctually felt fear for the first time after many years. Seconds later, a deep and creepy voice echoed on his head.

"Do you accept my power?"

This voice made Kou tremble but he remembers what his sister said so he looked at god with determination in his eyes as he agreed.

"Yes! I want the power to revenge my sister!"

Immediately, Kou was blinded by a light. His body started glowing and strange tatoos suddenly appeared and covered half of his body. Kou didn't know all this but when he came back to his room again, he will discovered new things about his body that god has given him.

Inside the apartment, Steve observing his status screen as he just felt bored. Rhena thought that it's weird as Steve was looking at the ceiling for many minutes now but she didn't bother speaking about her thoughts for now as she was still cooking.

Meanwhile, Steve sigh as he tap on some power on the screen and observe them.

[Power: Soul Attack]

[Description: Bypass anyone defense by attacking their soul. Required Soul Power to use.]

[Soul Power: 96.27%]

[Status: 36%]

This is the power that he copied from an assassin that he killed before. That encounter with that assassin made him feel a pain for the first time as she directly attacked his soul and he assumed that it's the reason that his soul dropped to 96%. Thankfully, before that woman can do more damage, Steve decided to just eliminate her.

Steve then decided to look to another power since he knows that he won't need to use such a power like this because he already have the strength to defeat his enemies.

[Power: Instant Regeneration]

[Description: Instantly grow any parts of your body. Required a massive amount of stamina to use.]

[Status: 36%]

This power was from a monster that he saw by chance on a lab by a mad scientist, the monster couldn't really use hundred percent of ability with its limited stamina so the monster wasn't even a threat. Next, he tapped on the next power that really excites him the most.

[Power: Teleportation]

[Description: Appear at any place you have been to. Unlimited range. Required a massive amount of stamina to use.]

[Status: 36%]

This power also required a massive amount of stamina and so the other user of this can only teleport to a super limited range and he can only use it on support, that's why that user is still at B-class.

As Steve was looking at his powers he accumulated, he suddenly heard a sweat voice from his lover about the food being ready now so he quickly teleports to his seat.

"Kya! Don't just appear suddenly next time! Your literally a few walk away from the seat!"
