"What's wrong?"
"Oh... I just remembered something," Wang Duo suddenly smacked his forehead.
"What is it?" I was somewhat curious; he's not the kind to be scatterbrained, so what could he have forgotten? Could it be something to do with Seow Seow's family again?
"I was just busy soothing Seow Seow, and then, realizing you were gone, she promptly sent me back here, saying it's unsafe for you to come back alone after dark and such. Right after that, I forgot to help her wipe the floor—the floor was all covered in salty water thanks to you." Wang Duo seemed to not think much about it, and just blurted out the answer to my question.
This time I didn't pick up on his words, the obvious truth he had inadvertently spoken. The reason I didn't tease him a few sentences is that I wanted to hear the half-finished thought he was about to share.
"Forget it, forget it. I'll find some time to help her wipe it tomorrow; don't worry about that. Hurry up and tell me, what was it about?"
