Open When You Miss Me

Virgil hugged his stuffed cat, Midnight. He hadn't come out of his room in 2 days since Roman was out on some adventure. Virgil sadly looked through the cards. He stopped on one that said 'Open when you miss me'. Virgil slowly opened it.

'Dear Virgil,

You'll probably never read this. Who can ever miss someone like me? But if you do happen to open this, just know I miss you too and I'm thinking about you always. I'll be fine on my own, if I happen to have a few scars and bruises, please help me bandage them. I know I won't be able to by myself since some are out of reach. Anyways, I miss you too, Virge... see you when I get back.

Virgil softly smiled and put the letter in his desk drawer. He wrapped himself up in his covers and held Midnight close to him. He closed his eyes and went to sleep peacefully.
