2 Open When You First Receive

Virgil looked down at the satchel. He didn't open it. He was trying to guess what was in it.

'Hm... maybe something romantic... I mean, he did say confessions.' Virgil thought. He sighed. 'I need to stop thinking and just open it.'

Virgil got off his bed and grabbed the satchel. He slowly opened it and peered inside. He grabbed what was in it. It was an assortment of ten cards wrapped up with a purple bow. Virgil looked inside and there seemed to be more. He dumped the contents of the bag out and onto his bed. It was ten packs of ten cards all with red and purple bows. All of it added up to one hundred.

"One hundred cards? Are these all confessions?" Virgil asked himself. He looked at the pack in his hand. The top one said 'Open when you first receive'. "Hm..."

Virgil carefully removed the bow and put the other cards on his bed. He looked at the first one.

"Hopefully 'confessions' isn't anything bad..." Virgil said and slowly opened the letter.

'Dear Virgil,

If you are reading this, I finally found the courage to hand these to you. The rules of all of these cards are that you can't open them all at once. Only when you are in need of them... or reassurance. None of them say anything bad, quite the opposite actually. So, I hope you listen to this letter and enjoy what I have to say to you.

~Roman'

Virgil sighed of relief. 'Nothing bad. For a second there, I thought he was just going to say something bad to me.'

Virgil looked around and put the card in his desk drawer, next to his purple rose that Roman gave him on his birthday. The rose was said to never die. And it hasn't.
