Virgil softly cried into his blanket and looked through the letters. He grabbed one that said 'Open when you're crying'. Virgil opened it.
'Dear Virgil,
Please don't cry. I hate seeing you cry and thinking about you crying and knowing that you've opened this when you're crying. Virgil, you are worth so much more than you know. You are worth so much more than anyone and anything. You mean the world to me. So wipe your tears and come to my room. I'll help you through it. I won't ask what's wrong or anything. I promise.
~Roman'
Virgil slowly unwrapped from his sheets and walked out of his room. He walked to Roman's room and knocked on the door. He sniffled. The door opened, revealing the prince. Roman gasped at Virgil's condition and picked Virgil up bridal-style. Roman carried him and set Virgil down on the bed. Roman walked out of the room and came in a few moments later with Midnight.
"M-Midnight..." Virgil stuttered and grabbed him out of Roman's hands. Virgil hugged Midnight close. Roman grabbed a chair and placed it next to the bed. Roman ran his hand through Virgil's hair and rested it on his cheek. Roman wiped away his tears.
"It's going to be okay, Virgil. Just breathe." Roman said. Virgil looked at Roman.
"C-can you..." Virgil trailed off.
"Can I what?"
"C-can you... l-lay here with m-me?" Virgil slowly asked and covered his eyes with Midnight. Virgil heard footsteps walking away. He felt like crying again, but he felt a pair of arms around his waist.
"Of course I can..." Roman whispered.
Virgil smiled and closed his eyes.
"Sweet dreams... Mi amore."
