Chapter 89 Fiery Night 

  Carina's POV -

  This city's atmosphere appealed to me. I breathed in air that was soaked in an eclectic assortment of exquisite smells no matter where I went. Olives and pine, bougainvillaea and jasmine, and crusty bread made in ancient fire ovens were among the most pervasive odors.

  The exquisite aroma of grilled meats and the freshest fish would lure even the most jaded of appetites. I enjoyed the sight of the large swimming pool more than the alluring meals and scents of mom's delicacies. It had always soothed and centered me.

  I gazed up at the bewitching crescent moon for a while before going to my room to shower. I came at the terrace after showering, to get some fresh air and stare at the beautiful moon for a while, but I wasn't alone.

  "I was waiting for you so we could have dinner together." Damian said.
