Cult [01]

Place: Unknown

Inside the cave, there were roughly 200 people wearing crimson cloaks with a logo on them. They appeared to be members of a cult. Only two of the hundred were in front of the audience.

"Has 'he' heard our prayers?" Someone stated. He had a strong voice. His face was obscured by a hoodie. They were dressed in dark cloaks that covered their entire bodies. The word 'Silence' was inscribed on the back of their cloak, but it was crossed out with a red cross.

The darkness in their surroundings had obscured their faces.

"He has heard it, and 'he' will definitely respond to it!" She murmured this as she gazed at the crimson circle at the cave's end. Her speech was lovely, and her bottom lips were visible from the lower half of her face, which the hoodie couldn't conceal.

She was the cultists' supreme leader.

An infant dragon's head was in the center of the circle.

They had sacrificed a whole village in order to summon the Lord. In order to summon the devil, innocent individuals must be sacrificed. That is the condition.

"It's glowing!" The man earlier shouted.

The red circle was shining with a bright white light. A crowd of hundreds started chattering while blocking the blinding light with their hands.

"HE HAS COME! WE CAN NOW LIVE IN A UTOPIA!"

"WE CAN NOW GET OUR REVENGE!"

"NONE OF US WILL SUFFER NOW."

"SHUT UP AND KNEEL DOWN TO HIM!" The woman earlier shouted.

All two hundred people knelt on the floor.

They cannot offend their king.

As the light faded, they expanded their eyes to see the 'Lord' who had been summoned there.

They immediately had a look of bewilderment on their face.

"HUMANS?! WHERE IS THE 'LORD'!?" The crowd shouted angrily.

"HAS IT FAILED!?"

"NO, IT CANT! WE SACRIFICED EVERYTHING FOR THIS!!!"

Ten persons stood in the center of the circle. They were not awake.

When the leader raised her hand, everyone became silent. She could now hear her own breathing.

"KESSIA.. WHAT DOES THIS MEAN!?" The man from before asked. His face was filled with astonishment.

"We... are.. successful.." Kessia said as her eyes were widened. Her eyes were only focused on three people out of the ten in the circle.

"What do you mean by that?" The man asked again. His mind was filled with questions.

"Use Analyze on the three kids over there." She ordered two of the people from the crowd. They work under the woman and were like loyal servants to her, everybody in the cave is.

"What about the others?" One of them asked.

"Kill them. They are not a part of this summoning." She said.

The pair nodded and approached the gathering. One of them began chanting comprehensible phrases near Jake, while the other used his hand to kill Javier and his crew.

Everyone but the trio was killed within a minute, and their analysis was done.

"I can't believe it..." The cultist said with disbelief.

"What is not believable?" The man from before asked. The two hundred people were all silent

"Their combat ability is average but... their potential it's blank." The cultist said.

The thing which the cultist had used was the skill 'Analyze'. The one who uses it can see the other's status window forcibly but it takes some time to do so.

"Why is only his potential hidden?"

"Blank? Does it mean it's unlimited?"

"No, it can even be something like SSR+ or something since it's only hidden."

"The leader is more powerful than that analyzer. She can easily see his status even if it's hidden."

The crowd chatted among themselves.

The person who examined his status has a combat ability of C+. So, if he was able to conceal it, he either possesses a talent connected to concealment or a combat ability greater than the analyzer. The latter is not an option.

"THAT'S ENOUGH CHATTING! TAKE CARE OF THEM UNTIL THEY ARE CONSCIOUS AND CALL ME AT ONCE WHEN THEY GAIN CONSCIOUSNESS." She said.

She said as the crowd silenced and the two people carried the trio to another part of the cave.

The man from before looked at the trio with suspicion. He didn't believe that one of them was the 'Lord'.
