The Reason.

One week after Ray reached Earth.

NSA, USA, Planet Earth:

"You ready Stefan?"

"Since the day I was told you had been sent to Dehzahk."

"Are you sure we're gonna do this, Ray?"

"There ain't no dropping out now Riv."

"Agreed."

The Underground Bunker, Griseran Forest, Forvirretia, Planet Dehzahk:

"I've setup everything following Skarr's advice. Only the antenna is left now."

"We set it up. You didn't do it alone. And here you go, the antenna."

"Yeah, yeah, whatever."

"I should have killed you right when I learnt that your father killed Gregory."

"But you did not."

"But I did not, yes. I regret it now."

"There you go. All done. Turn it on. Let's see if this beast wakes up."

"Alright, here goes nothing!"

The White House, USA, Planet Earth:

"Welcome, Mr. Stefan! I heard Mr. Ray has returned. Oh you're here too? How was your trip? Was it successful? Mr. Rivermont! You've come too, eh? Mr. Thomas, Mr. Michael, Mrs. Rose, it's a surprise! Is there something you want to tell me?"

The Underground Bunker, Griseran Forest, Forvirretia, Planet Dehzahk:

"Why is it blurred, Fred? I followed exactly what Skarr told me to do."

"We must receive the video from Earth. The signal is coming from a far away planet. It will take time. See? Here it is."

"They're already at the President's place? White Horse was it called?"

"The White House. Now keep quiet please? I can't hear them clearly."

The White House, USA, Planet Earth:

"Mr. President, sir, I need to ask you something. Please don't get me wrong, but do you remember the people whom you've sentenced to death by overriding the decision of the judge?", Stefan asked.

"Every single criminal. I remember their names, their faces, and most importantly - their cries.", the POTUS laughed.

"Do you remember your election campaign three years ago?"

"Why, yes. These three behind me - Alex, David and Jack helped the most, you know? They've been my friends since the day I joined school. Friends since childhood."

"Yes, sir. I heard. Do you remember the thirty nine dead bodies found as a big pile in the Washington Square Park the very next day of your campaign at Lakefront, Syracuse?"

"Yes, I heard the murderer was never found. I don't think it was mass suicide either. God bless those souls. But, why bring up that topic now, Mr. Stefan?"

"Don't you find it a bit odd that there were twenty seven women between the age of twenty three and sixty eight and twelve girls between the age of three and seventeen in that pile? Needless to say there were no men."

"What? No men? I never knew! It does seem a bit suspicious. Did you come here to ask me to order the police and detectives to investigate it further?", the POTUS inquired. Alex, David and Jack stepped closer to the POTUS from the back while Stefan did the same from the front.

"The houses of all the six of us are there."

"What are you arriving at?"

Thomas and Michael went around the President and stood near Alex and Jack.

"All the thirty nine were raped before being murdered. The autopsy confirmed it."

"That's terrible! I shall immediately inform the police and detectives to reopen the case and investigate it. The rapist deserves to be hanged."

"There is no need sir. We already know who did it. Do you remember the names Lyla and Jenna?", Alex, David and Jack pulled out their guns simultaneously.

"Well, since you already know what happened there, may I ask how and why?"

"Jenna was my wife and Lyla was my daughter. Lyla had sent me a voice mail before she died. Do you want to hear it, sir?"

Thomas and Michael snatched Alex and Jack's guns. Ray sneaked behind before David noticed and snatched his gun.

"Yes, please."

Stefan turned on his recorder while Thomas, Michael and Ray each pulled out a syringe containing blood.

"Daddy?", Lyla's voice was shaking. Tears started flowing from Stefan's eyes. "Daddy, there are four men at our door! They are trying to break open the door! Mom made me run upstairs and asked me to call you. She's standing downstairs with your cricket bat.", Stefan's eyes reddened. "I don't recognize three of them but I know the other one. That guy Trevor you support in the presidential election. They've opened the door dad! Oh no, one of the other three guys grabbed and threw away your bat from mom. He's coming up now! I'm gonna go hide daddy! I'm afraid!"

The POTUS - Trevor - pulled out his gun and pointed it at Stefan's head. Rose took it from him. "I don't think you'll need this now, sir." The sound of a woman screaming was faintly, but clearly audible in the voice mail.

"Yo Trevor! There's a little one in here!", David said in the voicemail. Ray immediately stabbed his syringe in David's neck. Thomas and Michael did the same to Alex and Jack.

"Bring her down here!", Trevor ordered with excitement. "DADDY!", Lyla screamed. The voicemail ended there. David, Alex and Jack dropped down one by one. Their skin burned. Radioactive poisoning.

"You know what, Stefan? I still remember what happened after. Your wife tried to push me and run away, but we tied her down. I didn't like her screaming when I raped her. So I slit her throat. That was when David dragged your girl downstairs. I didn't want her to scream. So I killed her first before I raped her. I can still -"

"That's enough Stefan. He deserves to die." Rose pushed Stefan aside and took out her syringe. But a syringe was already dangling from the now burned skin on his neck and his throat was slit open. Two gun shots. One hit him on the forehead and pierced easily through his skull and the other went through his heart. Stefan dropped his gun on the floor. Rivermont moved forward, opened Trevor's jaw and shot two bullets in his mouth. Ray, Thomas and Michael shot David, Alex and Jack to ensure their deaths.

"That's what my daughter would call 'FATALITY'. I hate that she ain't here to witness this now. She loved playing video games.", said Rose.

"Yeah. Curse Trevor.", said Thomas.

"If I were you, I'd thank him because he gave us a chance to see them again.", said Rivermont.

"Just so you know, I still am angry at you because you hid from me that my wife and daughter were also killed by that monster when I was gone. And my infant son was found drowned in the Onondaga lake? I never even got to see their bodies. I'm waiting to see those three right now!", said Ray.

"So you believe in afterlife, do you? Treat us with cheeseburgers in our next birth. I'll be waiting!", Michael chuckled.

"My stomach is already asking for the when and the where.", Stefan joked.

All the six pulled out a syringe and a pistol each. Stefan picked up the pistol which he dropped. They injected the blood on their necks and shot in their own heads.

The Underground Bunker, Griseran forest, Forvirretia, Planet Dehzahk:

"They didn't deserve such a death!", tears overflowed from Geoffrey's eyes.

Fred went around the display and switched it off. "No, they did not deserve it." Tears welled up in Fred's eyes as well.
