The twenty-two years, Olivia woke up that Saturday morning dejected and depressed as a result of excessive crying and the absence of quality sleep. The last meal she had was the popcorn she took at the cinema, hoping to have dinner with Louis when they got home. She decided to leave the house very early for Dover despite the cold to give her ample time to search for her school mother, and also avoid questions from her siblings and domestic staff. For that, she had no breakfast.
“Tracing the Bailey's home may not be difficult,” she assured herself.
At Dover
Mr. Denise Bailey, a twenty-four-year-old man was on a walkout exercise with his mentor and godfather, Mr. Nicholas Fields, who was forty-two years old. He would always appreciate his parents for choosing him to sponsor him at baptism. The walkout was their custom every weekend, and they had religiously kept to it. Denise believed so much in him and always looked up to him for counseling on crucial matters that bothered him.
“Godfather, why is my case different? I'm losing my mind,” he asked.
Mr. Nicholas Fields gave him a concerned look, and requested, “Come, let us sit down.”
He directed him to their regular breakfast spot by the roadside. After they took their seats on the table that was arranged for patrons, the waiter walked up to meet them at once to take their orders, and Mr. Fields ordered, “Two cups of coffee, please.”
“Noted sir. Give me some minutes,” the waiter responded, and left. While they were waiting for the coffee, Mr. Fields continued, “Denise, my son, you are one of the youths I have known from birth that I’m proud of. You are just anxious for nothing; God will make everything about you perfect, including your love life. When you see your missing rib, you will be convinced undoubtedly that she is your wife.”
At that point, Denise was emotional and wished that an Angel should just appear, bearing his wife on his wings, and deliver her to him that very moment. Subsequently, the waiter arrived with the two cups of coffee and dropped them on the table, and Mr. Fields settled the bill. Then, Denise continued, “Godfather, you know that my mom is anxious, and I’m her only son; though my cousin, Louis is there, but she wishes to carry my baby soon, but it is like my missing rib is not in this part of the world.”
“Denise, believe in yourself. Your expectation shall not be cut off. Your mother will see your children soon. Take your coffee,” Mr. Fields assured. They sipped their coffee silently. Meanwhile, Denise, who was a bit relieved, asked, “How is godmother? It had been a while when I saw her.”
Then, Mr. Fields smiled, and teased, “You have been preoccupied with your search for your missing rib that you forgot to ask after her. All the same, she is fine.”
The amused Denise laughed softly, and replied bashfully, “It is not so, Godfather. I will make it up to her. I promise.”
They sipped their coffee, and left the breakfast spot for their cars.
“All right, Denise. Let's be hopeful. See you coming weekend.”
“I appreciate, Godfather. Regards to Godmother.”
They had a handshake, got into their vehicles and drove off.
At a Road in Dover
It was 8:15 am, Olivia had arrived at Dover after one hour twenty-five minutes that she boarded a train from Sevenoaks. The morning cold was biting seriously and Olivia, who was with her little luggage, was standing by the road after she got off the train. Likewise, she was weak and confused. Not only that, she was worn out as a result of excessive cry and hunger. The city was strange to her, and she planned to go to a nearby Shelter for Indigent Girls before she would proceed with her search for Julie Bailey. Meanwhile, the map showed that there was one close to the Train Station. So, she booked for a cab and waited for its arrival. Due to her state of mind and the cold winter, she kept making mistakes with her bookings, which caused her to spend so much time waiting. Nevertheless, she became sick and was struggling to stand.
At that point, Denise was driving towards her, and she mistook his car for an unpainted cab. Then, she attempted to wave and stop the vehicle, which stopped at once.
“Hello, how are you?” Denise asked while looking at a dejected and confused young girl.
“I am f…”
Before she could conclude her statement, she slumped, and her phone fell off her hand and shattered. Denise, got out of his car at once and walked swiftly to her. He looked around to see if any help could come, but it was a Saturday, and most residents were indoors. He lifted her into the back seat of his car, opened his car trunk and dropped her luggage, and got into his car and drove off.
At Sevenoaks, Louis House.
When Louis woke up on the couch the next morning, he could not believe that Olivia left his house the previous night with his pregnancy.
“Olivia, Olivia,” he called out. Based on her medical history and health condition which he was aware of, he recalled that Olivia could not withstand stress for a long time, how much more when pregnancy was involved.
“How could she have left the estate at 10 pm? Aww!” He asked himself in regret. Then, he rubbed his hand backward on his short curly hair with the fade haircut several times before he thought of giving her a call. To his amazement, her line could not connect. He tried again but got the same result.
“I hope she got to her house safely?” He mumbled. Then, Louis went berserk and asked, “What have I done to myself? My woman and my baby?”
Subsequently, he hurriedly picked his car keys and fled to his car. Meanwhile, his domestic staff members who saw the way he ran out of the house knew that something was wrong, but could not fathom out the reason behind that. Then, he drove off, not knowing where to start searching for Olivia. Going to her house was out of the question because the security guards would not let him in. At that point, he had no choice but to risk it. He drove to the quarters for Missionaries at Badan Powell Road where she lived with her parents, and stopped at the gate, got out of his car and walked to the security men. Then, one of them inquired, “How may we help you, Young Master?”
Meanwhile, the troubled Louis attempted to compose himself before making his request known.
“Good morning to you, officer. I want to visit the McGregor.”
“Mr. McGregor and his wife had been on Foreign Missions abroad. Sorry about that.”
“Thank you officer. I'm aware of that, but I'm here to see Olivia, their daughter.”
“Oh! I see. Let me call the apartment.”
“Thank you.”
Louis was lucky to have met a security officer who was not aware of the standing order from the McGregor not to let him into the quarters anytime he showed up. Then, the officer called the flat, and the janitor picked. Then, she greeted, “Hello. This is the McGregor’s apartment. How may I help you?”
“Hello. Someone is at the gate, and wished to see Olivia,” the security officer informed. At that time, Louis' heart was in his mouth, and he looked anxiously at the officer.
“Let me see her room,” the janitor replied.
