Day 4 (IV)

"I'm asking you if you're okay," Jacob said again while his hand was still on my shoulder.

I realized that I've been staring at him for almost 5 minutes.

"I-I'm okay," I replied before I stood up and did jumping jacks.

"What are you doing?" Ivan asked confusedly.

"A-Ahmm. Just want to exercise." I replied and stretched my legs.

"Excuses!" Axel shouted again.

"We saw that. He put his arm around your shoulder and someone was even jealous." Sheena teased me again.

"You have an ethereal beauty, Louise," Arthur said.

"Imagine, seven men like her," Emmanuel said while laughing

"You shut up!" I hissed.

While I was still standing and stopping the loud pounding of my chest, Marvin suddenly pulled me to sit down beside him. My heart stopped beating when I saw our faces so close. I swallowed hard as I looked straight into his eyes.

This man is already engaged.

I went back to myself and then I removed Marvin's grip on my wrist and sat next to Jacob again.

"Omg! That scene is thrilling." Axel giggled.

"Who will Louise choose? The one who hugged her before, the one who played the guitar for her, or the one who pulled her?" Laura said, smiling.

"Don't be excited sis there are four more," Sheena said.

These people made my life into a movie.

"Guys, the one Louise likes will get married." Coleen sounded sad.

I looked at her and she was also surprised by what she said.

"Really?" Axel said in an overreacting way.

"Really? So there's a chance that my chicken will win?" Laura asked while smiling.

"Maybe my chicken also has a chance. Did you see that? He embraced her." Sheena said.

"Hey, what kind of chicken is that?" I knit my eyebrows.

"But seriously, he's already engaged? Louise will become sad again." Axel asked again and they ignored me for the nth time.

"Louise told me earlier about that," Coleen replied.

"That's sad," Axel said sadly. I smell something fishy the way they react like they're faking their reactions

"Ah, guys what are you talking about?" Ivan asked.

We looked at each other and I shook my head for them to know that RealSeven shouldn't learn that we've already known about the engagement.

"About our favorite chicken," Axel said awkwardly.

I sighed with relief because they didn't say anything about the engagement. We've been talking for a while and we're just laughing. I don't know where Lovie's group is but earlier I saw them sitting nearby while stunned by the absence. Wade's friends are no longer around so the surroundings are quiet again.

"Hey, guys let's watch the sunset," Ivan said before he looked at me.

We faced the ocean and watched the sunset. We will only be here for a few days and we will return to our respective lives again.

"Ten years from now I see myself as a good husband to my wife and a successful dad to my children. By that time I'm happily married." Marvin said as he looked straight ahead.

I smiled when I heard that. I felt their gaze at me and I frowned when I saw them laughing at what Marvin said.

"We wish you well Mark Oppa." I heard Sheena say.

The person I want to be with is getting married and not with me. I used to see that as I walked down the aisle Marvin was waiting for me at the end of the aisle. I was always imagining it but it remained imagination.

My standards are intergalactic so I'm still single. I've met the person I always used to include in my prayers but it was too late.

I just took a deep breath so I wouldn't cry. I could hear them what they envision five years or ten years from now.

"I see myself with the man I love right now and we will be successful together," Coleen said while looking at Arthur.

"I see myself with the man who accepts me for who I am and we will build a beautiful and happy family," Laura said.

"Five years from now I see myself as a successful teacher who can conquer the world," Axel said and I felt that he's smiling.

"Ten years from now I see myself with a man who I prayed for. I have my own family, I'm a successful woman, and I'm a happy wife." Sheena said, smiling.

"Five years from now I see myself as a successful person and by that time maybe I'm still waiting for the girl who I like and I'm willing to wait," Jacob said, smiling as he looked at me.

I smiled at Jacob before I could go back to watch the sunset.

"Ten years from now I see myself to an orphanage and I'm in there to help them and feel them that they're not alone. I'm also helping cancer patients especially kids to pay their hospital bills and to give them strength. I'm also with the grandparents who were abandoned by their own family, I want them to be happy. And lastly, I want to give free education for the children who can't afford to go to school and I will be their teacher." I smiled genuinely.

"Wow! Is that your advocacy when you have won in miss universe?" Axel teased me and I just laughed at him.

"Ten years from now I see myself with my girl who has a big heart and compassion. I'm helping her and supporting her in whatever she's doing. I will be a proud boyfriend of her." Ivan smiled before he looked at me.

What's wrong with them? They're looking at me after they've said what they did envision.

"I told you, my chicken is competitive." Sheena suddenly said while looking at Ivan.

They're talking about chicken again?

"You fools. What's that chicken again? Are you going to build a chicken farm?" I asked them as I slowly cleared away our clutter.

Jacob noticed me so he helped me too.

After our heartwarming activity, we go back to the hotel. Lovie's group is in the lounge while reading some magazines. We went straight to our rooms just to fix our belongings and then the three of us went down to be with our friends.

"You're not done yet?" Sheena asked.

"Don't you see?" Lovie replied sarcastically.

Sheena rolled her eyes at Lovie before she sat next to Junior. I was reading the same magazine that Haye was holding when Laura appeared behind us.

"Hey, girls who are your chicken?" Laura asked about the chicken.

"What chicken are you talking about?" Lovie frowned at her question.

"Who do you want to be Louise's end game? There are only six men who like Louise because the oldest is already engaged." Axel said in a loud voice.

"Hey! RealSeven is just behind us. I want to cut your tongue." I whispered as I turned the page of the magazine I was holding.

RealSeven is just sitting near us so they could hear their names as well as the word engaged.

"So who's engaged among them?" Marie asked in an overreacting way.

"Marvin Oppa," Sheena whispered.

I heard their loud gasped so I threw a glare at them.

"Really? Marvin Tan? The one Louise likes?" Junior asked repeatedly.

"You're too noisy." Haye nagged him.

"Yeah. That's the secret of RealSeven." Coleen said while also picking up the magazine.

Marie came over to me and stroked my back. "Please don't cry. That's okay."

"You dimwit! I probably won't cry. When would I cry because of the guy?" I asked her.

"When we were in 10th grade. Levie." Coleen and Laura said it at once, smiling.

I looked at them bluntly. "It's been how many years and I've moved on. Don't bring up the past."

"So who's your chicken? My vote is going on the one who took care of her!" Laura exclaimed.

These people look crazy. They're just talking about me like I'm not here.

Why am I in this circle of friends? Why do they're existing in my world?

"Louise!" I've heard someone's calling my beautiful name and then I saw Wade is running towards me.

He got all the eyes of my companions. I stood up to approach him.

"Give me your hand," Wade said but he pulled my hand without my consent.

He wore me a wooden bracelet with my name on it. It looks like the same necklace I'm wearing right now.

"What's this for? Is this free? Or is this bad luck?" I asked just to tease him.

"No. We're leaving tomorrow, aren't we? So I bought you that because, after many years, we saw each other again. I missed you." Wade smiled.

I can't stop smiling as well. "Hey, be careful on your way home. Thanks for this."

He messed my hair first before he said goodbye to us but, he faced me again.

"Are you going to my wedding?" He asked with his puppy eyes.

I cringed at the way he looks at me. "Stop looking at me like that. I want to punch your face."

"So, are you going to my wedding?" He asked me again.

"Just give me an invitation and I'll be right there," I said, smiling.

"Yeah! I'll give it to you when you got home." Wade said with a smile.

I just waved at him before he finally turned his back on us.

"Is he getting married? You look good together." I even heard Junior say.
