SORTING CEREMONY

It was evening by the time the train stopped,

and the last people to get off it were the first

years, and as everyone got down the train, they

couldn't help but hear the baritone deep voice

yells

"first years, first years, over here, there

you are. Is there anyone missing? No? Great.

Now get into the boats, three or four in a boat."

After everyone went inside the boats they

started moving, they could see the giant

octopus and squids swimming in the

water, they were so amazed by the lake that

they almost jumped when someone said look.

When they looked up they saw The Hogwarts

castle, it looked majestic and old yet beautiful.

Even Harry couldn't help but think 'this is how

you should be introduced to the magical world'

A few moments later, we reached a small

cavern and Hagrid shouted.

"Duck!"

I laughed at that. But my other boatmates have

one of their eyebrows raised, except Neville

who is still frantically finding his toad?

"What's funny about that?" SC asked.

"Well because Hagrid's huge so he has to duck.

But we're children and small. So we don't have

to."

I said while still laughing. Man, that was a

good.

They just shook their head while I occasionally

laugh when I try to remember what just

happened. Eventually, we all got off the boat and Hagrid led us to a giant wooden door. I let out a deep breath at that.

Someone loudly

whispered.

"Maybe we're all just nervous. This is Hogwarts

after all."

Okay, I need to put up my shields and I activated occlumency beforehand.

The rest went on the same in the movie. The

the whole group went to the end of the marble

staircase, waiting for Professor McGonagall. I

went a bit behind Harry, just beside

Neville.

"Fancy meeting you here Neville." I greeted him.

He just smiled as he looked around, worried for

Trevor. I saw Hermione quiet at the back, must

be because she's quite small to squeeze

through the group. I only went here because I

want to witness Draco and Harry's first

meeting. Chatting with Neville was a bonus.

"So it's true then, Harry Potter has come to

Hogwarts." Draco walked in front of the group

with Crabbe and Goyle in tow. They were

whispers after that. The Boy-Who-Lived is

very famous after all.

Draco Malfoy: "This is Crabbe and Goyle, and I'm Malfoy.Draco Malfoy."

He spoke with as much as the confidence he had in his body. Ron snorted and I coughed a little, trying not to laugh. Now I understand why Ron thinks it's

funny. Fortunately, the snort is more obvious.

so Draco's attention turned to Ron.

Then it all continued the same as the movie

until McGonagall arrived and tapped a sulking

Draco on the shoulder. When she got in front

of the group, she scanned all of us until her

eyes landed on Harry. Then her eyes turned to

me. Must be because either my hair is to the eye-

catching, or the whole faculty already knows

my secret. Her eyes stayed on me for a few

more seconds until she started her speech.

"Welcome to Hogwarts," Professor McGonagall

said.

Now my story truly begins.

"Welcome to Hogwarts," Professor McGonagall

said. "The start-of-term banquet will begin

shortly, but before you take your seats in the

Great Hall, you will be sorted into your houses.

The Sorting is a very important ceremony

because, while you are here, your house will be

something like your family within Hogwarts.

You will have classes with the rest of your

house, sleep in your house dormitory, and

spend your free time in your house common room.

The four houses are called Gryffindor,

Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw, and Slytherin. Each

house has its noble history and each has

produced outstanding witches and wizards.

While you are at Hogwarts, your triumphs will

earn your house points, while any rule-breaking

will lose house points. At the end of the year,

the house with the most points is awarded the

house cup, a great honour. I hope each of you

will be a credit to whichever house becomes

yours."

"The Sorting Ceremony will take place in a few

minutes in front of the rest of the school. I

suggest you all smarten yourselves up as much

as you can while you are waiting." Her eyes

focused this time on Neville, in which his robes

are a bit untidy,

so I nudged him on his arm.

"Neville, you should fix your robe a bit,

Professor's eyes on you" I whispered.

He must have heard as his eyes widened while starting back at Professor McGonagall. He immediately straightened his robes and fixed the fastener near his left ear.

"T-thanks, mate."

He whispered back

when McGonagall's focus turned to someone else.

"Anytime," I smiled.

When I spotted a ghost phasing outside the

wall, I immediately tuned out their

conversation as I was still busy taking the

Hogwarts's view in my eyes with every moment

stored inside my mind. This is a

milestone for me as a Potterhead and would kill

me for a chance like this.

The group moved as the giant door opened.

What inside is another empty chamber with

another giant door, that I suspect leads to the

great hall.

When the other set of doors opened, what I

met was magic in different colours. and yes I can see magic too because of my every now it's easy it's like the entire place the hall is covered with snowflakes made of glitters and it was all beautiful. The colours were like the

swirling galaxies with the candles acting like

stars twinkling in the night sky. It was truly a

majestic sight.

All good things must come to an end though,

but I still can't stop looking at the magic that

flies in the air. With the whole group stopped

in the middle of the hall, the sorting hat was

brought out while singing his famous song.

Oh, you may not think I'm pretty,

But don't judge on what you see,

I'll eat myself if you can find

A smarter hat than me.

You can keep your bowlers black,

Your top hats sleek and tall,

For I'm the Hogwarts Sorting Hat

And I can cap them all.

There's nothing hidden in your head

The Sorting Hat can't see,

So try me on and I will tell you

Where you ought to be.

You might belong in Gryffindor,

Where dwell the brave at heart,

Their daring, nerve, and chivalry

Set Gryffindors apart;

You might belong in Hufflepuff,

Where they are just and loyal,

Those patient Hufflepuffs are true

And unafraid of toil;

Or yet in wise old Ravenclaw,

if you have got a ready mind,

Where those of wit and learning,

Will always find their kind;

Or perhaps in Slytherin

You'll make your real friends,

Those cunning folks use any means

To achieve their ends.

So put me on! Don't be afraid!

And don't get in a flap!

You're in safe hands (though I have none)

For I'm a Thinking Cap!

All of the people inside the great hall clapped,

even the first-year students. You won't

probably see another talking hat outside

Hogwarts.

After all of that, the Sorting started. While

waiting for my name, I looked over at the

teacher's table. They're all the same as the

movie. The moment my eyes turned to

Dumbledore, caught me looking at him and

smiled. The moment I saw his a bit of the

twinkle, I quickly, but subtly looked away.

Although I should smile because he's

Dumbledore, I'm a bit wary of him. All fans

know that Dumbledore may be a good man, but

he was surely a manipulative man. His focus

was all on Harry that he doesn't even realize

that the students were already in danger. Most

notably in the second book.

Then my eyes left him and landed on Snape. I

didn't stare at his eyes though, that will just

raise unnecessary alarms.

But I can see that he looked at Harry first

before turning to me. He was measuring me.

He didn't sneer or frown, or anything. He was

checking if I measure up to anything.

When I heard Hermione's name, I turned back

all of my attention to the ceremony. Soon all

hell will break loose.

After potter was sorted into Griffindor, I

noticed Professor McGonagall momentarily

paused. Well, everyone noticed it. Then I heard

it.

"Michael Pendragon"

The Great Hall was filled in murmurs. The

muggle-borns were the ones who finally connected the dots and some even exclaimed even Hermione had wide eyes as she remembers who I was Even all of the teacher's attention went to me.

'It's not like my life depends on what house I'll

be sorted into isn't it?'

Fortunately, all my mental shields are still up.

So I calmly went to the sorting hat and sat on

the stool while putting the old hat on my

head.

"Hm. Ah, yes. Peculiar, and very difficult. You

have the loyalty of a Hufflepuff, yes. And the

ambition like a Slytherin. You're as brave as

Gryffindor, and an urge to quench your thirst

for knowledge like a Ravenclaw. But where to

put you, young man? I must say that your...

history is quite intriguing. A Descendent of a royalty and heir of that Merlin and also the heir of Slytherin the most feared wizard known that would not help things at all. It would be easy to put you in Griffindor, but you're very much different compared to your predecessors Hmm."

The whole student body is still silent, and the

teacher looking it erected on where will I be

sorted to.

"Yeah, Griffindor will not be very helpful to me.

As much as Slytherin will be, the members there hate pure blood's Adding the fact that I'm a royalty

my life will be cursed if they find out me being a parselmouth." I grumbled.

"But you won't want to be in Gryffindor, no?

There will be glory there, of course."

"Yeah, no. I would just be bullied there. Many

people there are as bigoted as those in

Slytherin. But thanks for the offer." I said.

"Well, you can't be in Hufflepuff either. You

surely will be ostracized by the immature ones.

You will only be pushed away, even if that's the

house of loyalty." The sorting hat explained. I

agreed to that, as much as I want in Hufflepuff,

I can't stay there. I feel that I will be

isolated for the rest of my years at Hogwarts.

"Well, that leaves you to the last one then. You

may still feel isolated in there, but you won't

feel that as much as in other houses. There are

a lot of purebloods, there. Surely you'll be

fine. Then I sort you in... SLYTHERIN!!!" The

last word being shouted across the hall. The

house clapped massively, not the usual politeness when someone's sorted into their

house. But I don't know how to feel about that.

Wait, did I heard it right? Why do I feel that

Dumbledore's clapping harder than anyone?

Well, whatever. I walked towards the table and

greeted them. many nod, but some welcomed

me enthusiastically Wow, Daphne's there? I may well sit in front of her.

"A Pendragon, huh?" she asked.

"liked the surprise." I shrugged.

"Well, it's not every day you go to school with a

Pendragon." I sighed.

"But you surely snatched the spotlight." She

chuckled.

"From who?" I already know, but I'll still ask.

"Harry Potter." She smiled.

"Ah, that boy huh? I saw him in the entrance

hall. I even stood behind him." I spoke.

"I won't even be surprised if you make it to the

front page tomorrow." She smirked. Now, I'm

annoyed.

"Frontpage? Of what?" I asked again. Of

course, how could I forget? The Daily Prophet

always has a nose in the juiciest issues, but

they're useless in every other else they do.

How could you mock the boy who saved you

from a Dark Lord? I snorted at the thought.

"The Daily Prophet. It's the wizard newspaper. I

don't know how, but they can somehow hear

the things that leak in the castle." She

shrugged.

others to be sorted. Yes, I feel isolated even

now. many of the mates even greeted me and asked questions. gosh, this is a headache.

(Dumbledore's POV)

The moment the door opened, I saw the boy in

front of the group, The-Boy-Who-Lived. The

people may see him as their hero, but he's still

a child. He's a good child from what I've heard

from Arabella. Obedient even to his abusive

muggle guardians.

Ever since the war ended, the people were very

interested in the boy who defeated the Dark

Lord. So I immediately ordered his retrieval.

I've investigated Lily's background, and I found

out that her muggle sister is still alive. Harry

must be kept outside the wizarding world for

the time being. Also, Lily's protection will

remain if Harry stayed with his blood relatives,

so I told Hagrid to bring young Harry there.

The Dark Lord's followers are still lurking

somewhere, waiting for the opportunity to

resurrect their lord. Harry must be prepared to

face him to fulfil the prophecy. yes, He must for the greater good.

the most eye-catching features in the hall.

goldish white hair, purple eyes. The signature of a pendragon. I've found out about him when

Minerva brought the Book of Admittance to my

office. Even she was shocked that a descendant

of the pendragon family has born. I

immediately ordered the house elves of the

school to search for the boy. One of the elves

found him living in one of the orphanages in

the outskirts of London, a small child. He has

the features of the royal family of pendragon a lot king Arthur himself according to my research. But he's isolated from the other young children.

I continued observing him in worry that

something is wrong with the child. I can't let

him become my mistake again. But some of my

worries are unfounded, I noticed that the other

children stayed away from him because they

found him weird from his unusual eye colour.

Still, the child looked unconcerned. He has the

sign of maturity and certain intellect in his

eyes, a true heir of a king.

Now that the boy has entered Hogwarts, the

whole world will focus on him. I will be sure to

guide him so he doesn't make the same

mistakes as tom did. He must not be

tempted to go to the dark side. For now, I'll let

him enjoy the joys of being a child. he's not yet

ready to face the harshness of the world.

(3rd POV)

After everyone was sorted, Dumbledore stood

and opened up his arms with a smile,

"Welcome to a new year at Hogwarts. Before

we begin, I would like to say a few words here

they are, "Nitwit, Blubber, Oddment, Tweak".

"Thank you".

While the first years looked at him like he was a

crazy old man, Michael spoke in amazement, "He's

a genius". Malfoy asked him, "what do you mean

by that? For me, he just looks like a mad man".

Michael replied, "Nitwit means stupid which

defines the lack of your knowledge, Blubber

means fat which defines lack of good

appearance, Oddment means leftover or odd

which defines your lack of social skills and

Tweak means improve by making an

adjustment to it.

That means whether you have a lack of

knowledge, appearance or social skills before

you come here, you can improve in all areas

after coming into Hogwarts. Here, we have

books for knowledge spells to make yourself

better and have family-like houses to care for

you".

Malfoy and the rest of the first years were

amazed to realize that there was a huge

meaning hidden inside those four words as for

a few older students too got excited, "well, royal

heir or not, we got an intelligent one".

Just then, all the empty dishes all over the table

were filled with food. It amazed all the first

years including Daphne and Michael who never saw this many varieties, roast beef, roast chicken,

pork chops and lamb chops, sausages,

potatoes, fries, pudding, etc...

As everyone was talking about their families on

the Slytherin table, Michael looked at the High

table all the professors sat. Hagrid is drinking

from his goblet. Dumbledore looked back at

him and raised his glass as a toast.

Michael nodded and continued his dinner.

(MC POV)

well I was famished with the good food in Hogwarts must be because of some magical ingredients as I had my dinner some people kept on looking at me including Daphne once I smile at her and she blushed slightly while being found out as we were done with the dinner and was no on the desert I thought of something

"system sign-in"

*signing in successful....congratulation to host for getting a connection with Hogwarts*

*now the host is connected to the Hogwarts and can apparate and disapparate as the host wishes and can get into any place without any hindrance and a live mind map of entire Hogwarts*

welp, that's useful...

" umm Michael can u pass the chocolate sauce" I looked up and I saw Daphne asking for it I smiled and passed her some then our palm touched and I signed up again.

("system sign-in")

*signing in successful....congratulation host for getting GREENGRASS BLOODLINE; BLOOD CURSE CURE POTION;6,500,607GALLEONS*

WAIT?!? What blood curse.

yeah now I remember Astoria Greengrass Daphne's younger sister seems to be the one with the curse well with this the Greengrass family will be indebted to me and Daphne will be mine too then as you see I found out as a lord of a house need to have wife according to his hierarchy like lord of house A can one wife while the lord of house B and C can have 2 wives due to low birthrate of children in many pureblood families but it's really rare for there to be vacant heirship and not many such real examples there today so lucky me.

after the dinner dumbledore warned about everything regarding the 3rd floor and all and then he said.

"Well, before everyone goes to bed, let us sing

the school song together!" Dumbledore raised

his wand and tapped it lightly,

and a text formed by a gold ribbon floated in front of everyone.

The members of the Hogwarts Choir also

appeared, and the prefect next to Michael was

also one of them. The choirs in the front row

were still holding big toads.

As Dumbledore waved his magic wand, all the

teachers and students began to sing the school

song to their own beat.

Michael had to sing too, so he just gave lip

movement, pretending he was singing.

No way, the song was very lame, and the

professors on the teacher bench were all a

little stiff, obviously a little reluctant.

Forget the kids, but a group of adults were

singing this school song, feeling shameful!

Hogwarts, Hogwarts, Hoggy Warty Hogwarts,

Teach us something please,

Whether we be old and bald,

Or young with scabby knees,

Our heads could do with filling,

With some interesting stuff,

Our heads could do with filling,

With some interesting stuff,

For now they're bare and full of air,

Dead flies and bits of fluff,

So teach us things worth knowing,

Bring back what we've forgot,

Just do your best, we'll do the rest,

And learn until our brains all rot.

Beside Michael, the funny, Weasley brothers are

singing with the melody of a Funeral March.

The beat couldn't keep up with the others. The

few people around them were done one

after another.

After the song was finished, the two Besides still

singing slowly, and others around them suddenly had the urge to cover their face, pretending that they didn't know them. After the end of the song, Dumbledore asked everyone to go back to rest.

Later, Michael and others followed Gemma Farley,

the Slytherin Prefect, to the dungeons where

their dormitory lie. After entering Slytherin's

common room, girls and boys were separated

from there and made their way to their rooms.

Michael went to his room and slept without bothering his roommates.
