13 Im sorry

Lindon went to Kresha's room. She had already fallen asleep.

He took a step closer to her bed and stared Kresha's little face.

She is sleeping peacefully. He carress her hair and kissed her forehead. He pull the blanket and put it on Kresha, then he walked out of the room.

Lindon went straight to his study room and open his laptop but he can't concentrate to work ,so he closed his laptop again. He pick a glass and poured a whiskey on it.

The word that Kresha told her during dinner is keep playing on his mind. "You never cook for me before." Those words was simple, but it made him feel like someone clutched his heart.

"I'm sorry Kresha." He said while looking out of nowhere. He take a deep breath hoping that it would help to lighthen up the heaviness that he felt inside.

I'm sorry if you suffered because of me.

I'm sorry if I've been so insensitive towards your feelings.

I'm sorry if I have not appriciated your efforts.

I'm sorry if I was so numbed not realizing how lucky I am to be loved by someone like you."

I'm sorry if I have not been a good husband to you for fifteen years.

It's only now did he realize all this. She was even willing to risk her life for him. But all that he gave to her was just a heartache? Maybe he was used to her presence before ,so he didn't realize that she has a part in his heart!

Lindon's deep thought was interrupted by the sudden sound of his phone. It was Arriene!. Lindon just stared on his phone and did not answer the call.

The call stopped. After five minutes his phone ring again. He thought that it was Arriene again but he was wrong! It was Engineer Zhou.

Lindon quickly pick up the call.

"Good evening CEO Mo." Engineer Zhou greeted him.

"Hmmm. Do you need something?" Lindon asked.

"We have investigated the incident at the construction site this morning. And it turns out that, what happened was intentional." Lindon just listened to Engineer Zhou's report.

Actually, he don't need to ask Engineer Zhou about the result of the investigation.

He knew that one of his former employee that he fired from the Mo Corporation is the culprit behind the incident this morning .

The incident of the falling bricks already happened in his previous life, but he did not expect it to happen ahead of time.

The incident should happen the next day.

"What?!" Arriene yelled at the person on the other line.

" His Assistant secretary saved him." The man on the other line explained.

Kresha! Arrienne gritted her teeth when the image of Kresha popped on her mind.

"How about the person you have bribed?!" She asked.

"He was caught." The man on the other line answered.

"What?! You idiot! What if he will tell the police that it's you who have bribed him?!" Arrienne got mad to the point that her face turned red.

"No, I'm sure he won't." The man confidently said.

"How do yo say so?" Arrienne asked.

"Because his daugther is currently at the hospital for a heart surgery and he needed a big amount of money to pay the bill. Besides, that man is a former employee of Mo Corportion that Lindon Mo fired out from his job. So , it would turn out that he attempted to harm Lindon to take revenge!

"What if his daughter get better and he will broke his silence?"

"Then let's just kill him and his daughter." The man said evilly as if he was not afraid to take someones life.

Shanghai, the next day

Kresha woke up at nine in the morning.

She went to the bathroom to brush her teeth and wash her face before she headed to the downstairs.

The entire hause is so silent and she did not see Lindon. "Did he left?" She mumbled.

"Lindon?" Kresha try to call Lindon but nobody answered her.

He wasn't in the living room. Maybe he is still asleep. She told her self and then she headed to the kitchen.

There are already foods on the dining table. Kresha knitted her brows. She noticed the note at the top of the table. She took the note and read it. "I have to go buy some stuffs, you should eat and take your medicine." Kresha pursed her lips.

She take a seat and started eating her breakfast.

She is already done eating when she heared the noise of a car engine from the front door.

Kresha get up from her seat and headed to the front door to open it.

"You're awake!?" Lindon said as soon as she saw her opened the door.

"Hmmm." Kresha nodded.

"Did you eat your breakfast?" Lindon asked while he closed the car's door.

He walked towards the front door.

"Hmmm. I have eaten my breakfast." Kresha answered.

Lindon approached her and kissed her forehead." Good." He smiled.

Kresha's body stiffened. She looked at Lindon. Why is this man is acting so weird since yesterday? Did he eat something?

She never seen him smiled at her like this before. Her heart skipped a beat.

"Here, I have buy clothes for you." Lindon stretch his hand and gave her the paper bags that he is holding.
