O(I)O(I)

To the formerly human vampiric, arachnid monster the bald flimsy dressed man was a daunting, terrifying man-everyone else stampeded towards him! Saitama punched them in prodded, machine-like swings delivered in their faces, shoulders, and torsos all causing them to explode!

The room bloomed with glittery puffs of red mist spewed all over the nest. It reinvigorated all the prisoners encumbered in their prisons, but it was absorbed by the last remaining vampire.

He grew so big and albino before his eyes. Like all monsters this newfound power should've made him eager to try to surprise Saitama with a right hook, Saitama cocking his left hand since it was the fist that felt best when he clobbered his opponent.

However, the giant monster breathed out some of that miasma in the nest. Saitama wondered if this was just to distract him before attacking from above or behind-when the mist cleared up and the monster was gone it was clear the monster was smart enough to run.

"Is there anyone still alive who has a wife who doesn't discriminate age of adventurer's?"

O(I)O(I)

It was dark outside when Saitama returned to the city with-being surrounded by all the people freed from the vampire nest since there were no other heroes to help them-all the flowers he needed clutched by the stem in his right hand. As cold as it was making the adventurer's pick the flowers after they were defeated and nearly drained of their lifespan by vampires 'a deal is a deal' he told them.

They weren't the only ones who made it at this time of day. A man with a white button shirt and black hair jutting out like a crow's beak wearing blue jeans stared at it on a hill accompanied by three different kinds of creatures: dire wolf, slime, and chibi dragon.

The dire wolf had a white pelt but with a red tipped tail. It's claws going up to its stomach was all ebony with some bumps on its paws. The beast had red sclera's with blue eyes and a cute little mouth. The slime was all green with an orange living organism sloshing around it's interior body with little dimple black eyes. And the dragon was orange with big black eyes and blue pupils.

"It's nice we made it here but it's a little too late to check in," the human told the three creatures. "Let's camp in for the night."

He picked up the slime carrying it like a baby when the wolf and the dragon sandwiched close to him looking at him with nefarious smiles.

"We want some of that bull meat with that yummy stuff you call tenderloin." The wolf said in a voice that made him sound more like an order than a request.

The man was sweating while doing his best to keep a smile on his face.

"Okay."

Completely ignoring the man, Saitama walked with the victims of the kidnapping until they made it to the hospital ward. Although it was late he was assured each staff member took a different shift. A man and female with their face completely covered in white cloth with a brown cowl going from their heads to their neck and brown suits greeted him outside.

"A-Are these people all claimed to be taken from bloodthirsty monster?" The man asked.

Saitama didn't know anything about that so he waited for Savatia or Baragon to answer for him. All he got was those sullen eyes and eyes more dead than alive he was between while they stared at the medical staff. Without waiting any further the woman raised her hands in the air.

"We don't have enough room to house all of you, even though you've all suffered a great turmoil, but I can assure you if you knock on an apartment building fifty yards west from here there's a landlord who will make sure his most benevolent house guests open their doors and let you stay with them. You can all hold your head up high, those monsters are gone."

If anyone in the group had the energy to cheer they would, but for now a dozen were allowed inside while four dozen walked in their langour state to the building the nice female staff member offered to them. As for Baragon and Savatia...she and her husband walked home while Baragon stayed with Saitama. Soon both of the males with a less than desirable trait were alone in a dark street with a now eerie silence they could hear the trilling noises only bugs could make.

"You don't mind if I go to the bar while you tell the receptionist how I helped save nearly a hundred people today ,do you?" He asked with a voice only someone with an inferiority complex could make.

"Do I just say 'one hundred' or is it like 'Ghuoeeo', 'Quatilla', 'Bouundred'?" Saitama asked.

"Just tell them we bumped into each other and I helped you? Now go away."

Saitama listened to his rude suggestion and walked to the guild. Although Baragon was a cranky dwarf who never showed much respect for another soul whether they were human or dwarf, for a flitting moment he smiled from the good work Saitama did...

Then he looked down to see his face even dirtier than in the dragon smog mines after a hard day's work and was upset all over again.

Saitama moved at the pace a delivery boy would move trying to catch up to a mail address when the person left his house to the guild. His usual extreme speed would probably wake up more people tonight than he would like. And it was because he was actually showing empathy for other residents in this city he's only been in for one day that he reached the guild and saw the guild lady locking the front door.

She took a few steps to the right before Saitama surprised her showing up in front of her with the flowers shoved at her. She flinched at first but smiled...just a small small with her teeth biting her upper lip.

"It's good you finished your quest, but the guild is closed today. You'll have to wait until tomorrow."

'I see.' Saitama thought. 'Their guild is sort of like a gas station.'

Saitama just stared there and it was bringing out the sensitive side of her. She took the flowers from him.

"I can at least keep these supplies in a safe place until tomorrow, but I can't pay you right now for it...technically it's the guild master that pays, I just handle the process of completing a request and making sure it's handled systematically."

The only thing Saitama really understood was he wasn't getting paid today. Ergo, he had no money for food or even rent at a hotel and would have to squander a way to do all those things, but even in his old world he never had someone to mooch off of.

With nothing left to do tonight he followed the receptionist home. She didn't look at him and he didn't stare at her, but when they walked together their were silhouette's of people in alley's running the opposite direction. It seemed even in his silly uniform people weren't indulging in their peccadillo's to very scary offenses when two people were together.

"So, Mr. Saitama...what made you want to be an adventurer?" She finally asked.

"I wanted to become a 'hero' because it brought fun and purpose when I was living at rock bottom."

"Right, but you're not an adventurer."

"And yet I've taken down hundreds of monsters and saved the world a number I'm too modest to admit." He retorted.

"What monsters? You only had one job today and it was to pick up flowers. There aren't many cities or towns that can afford to keep adventure guilds and by your outfit I doubt you've ever been to any of them."

Saitama was about to tell her about his life in a world much different from this one when someone right in front of them called to the receptionist:

"Pefi. Hello."

The man talking to her was a knight in teal armor. His blonde hair had two curves on both ends of his ears with a smooth flat top, he had a white linen collar jutting out his armor's cowl, carried a rapier in his left hand akin to Flashy Flash's blade, and his eyes were sapphire blue.

He actually looked like a pompous prick at first-the receptionist now looking like a statue trying to process bumping into this person being a part of it-but his appearance seemed to have a meaning other than just flirting with her. He handed her a large sheet of white paper.

"I'd like to re-register this mission if I can. It's just...too hard for me and my party..." He started to sniffle like an actor in a play for this next tidbit of information. "And what's worse is we lost poor Zami confronting that monster." All that tearing up and croaking was replaced with him standing in silence blinking seeing Saitama now. "Who is he?"

The receptionist went from trying to look at him directly to turning his head to Saitama. "This is Saitama, our newest recruit. In just one day he completed a mission. Tell me...how many days have you been taking for this incomplete mission?"

At first he just stared stunned and speechless until he stroked his chin with a sly smile on his face.

'Good, he'll be the perfect recruit for my team.'

He smiled broadly and extended his hand to give Saitama a handshake.

"Want to join my party? We could use your help to-"

"No." Saitama replied bluntly.

He went from smiling to frowning. Then he smirked.

"Okay. Well once you rise up the ranks on your own I'll let you do the mission we are doing."

"That won't be necessary." For the first time since he got here, Saitama smiled. "I'll plan to complete this mission you have so much trouble with tomorrow."
