Chapter 3: Training Montage and Goodbyes

TPOV:And here are at the age of five, Ryu begins his training with the infamous Douglas Bullet, a legendary pirate known for his incredible strength and mastery of Haki, but his best aspect being the Clank Clank no mi. Bullet teaches him how to control his strength unlock his fireand unlock all three types of Haki. The training montage begins with Ryu struggling to improve his semi impressive strength. Bullet puts him through a series of exercises, such as lifting heavy boulders, 20,000 pushups and running laps around the island. Ryu's half human half lunarian physiology allows him to complete these tasks with ease, but Bullet pushes him even further by adding home made weights to his exercises. Next, Bullet teaches Ryu how to use Observation Haki. Complaining Ryu struggles with the concept at first, but Bullet helps him to focus his mind and senses, along with motivation telling Ryu that sensing an attack and dodging before defending a attack is always better. So spending days training his mind and senses, learning to sense his surroundings and being able to cover up to 30 kilometers they move on. Emotion and intent sensing came along fairly easier. Unlocking a turquoise color when using it they move on to the next type of Haki. The training continues with Ryu learning to use Armament Haki. Bullet challenges Ryu to break through a metal wall using Armament Haki. Failing to do so over and over again Ryu spends weeks trying to accomplish this feat, pushing himself to the limit. Bullet finds an alternative beating Ryu half till death until he finally manages to take minimal damage. Ryu managing to unlock his Armament Haki finally manages to not only using invisble armor to defend himself from Bullets' fighting style "Mukijindo". the hardening stage manages to break the metal wall. Finding a unique white color when using hardening. The final part of the training montage involves Ryu unlocking Conqueror's Haki. Bullet takes Ryu to a secluded area of the island and challenges him to use Conqueror's Haki to knock down a large tree. Ryu spends months trying to accomplish this feat, but he remains unsuccessful. Bullet notices that Ryu has no ease into as if he has no goal. Ryu finally gives up wondering if he had not been the 1 in 100 million. Bullet questions his morals what does he really want to achieve in life. What's he training for. Reaching deep into his memories he remembers his a face, his sister one he had forgotten. Pushing forward with a renewed determination to see his sister again his Conqueror's Haki washes over the tree and threatens the nearby beasts finally achieving Bullet's goal for him. Throughout the training montage, Ryu also builds up his body through exercises and learning a martial art called Devastante a superhuman fighting style focused on making the body a weapon. This along with training and weightlifting. This pushes Ryu to manifest the body of a bodybuilder and a swimmer. Ryu still trains Observation and Armament Haki in hopes of unlocking strength sensing and Ryou becoming stronger with each passing day. Bullet: If I had to properly gauge your strength I would say you could take on 2 Vice Admirals. Avoid the Admials though even with the training and the talent you should be able take on 1 Admiral in a year in 2 years you could potentially injure all 3 and escape. But after those 2 years you'll be stronger than me and Whitebeard as he is now. Ryu: Swinging Shiro the active opposite to Yoru 'Hawk-Eye' Mihawk's famed blade and active rival to current Yonko 'Red Haired Shanks. A Supreme Grade Sword taken from a giant monkey during the travel to Kuraigana Island. Taking it from said creature elicited a rather annoying conversation from Mihawk about trespassing and taking his belonging. He smirked " I say in about 4 years I'll be on the threshold of Garp, Roger, and Sengoku's level. Rocks is on a level higher than them since it took Garp and Roger at the God-Valley incident". TPOV: Widening his eyes out of shock of such an absurd declaration Bullet started laughing much to the dismay of Ryu. Bullet: Yea brat when you get that strong we'll have a battle that will scare the World Government. Hopefully you'll have a crew with you by then and you'll become a big figure. Ryu: I plan on it a full grand fleet of over 15,000 members. I plan to recruit a few Shibuchikai and a few rogues from Impel Down and maybe some wondering travelers. I want to be established with territories in 2 years. Bullet: Well you will have to work then. Are about ready kid? I mean I don't have the funds off hand but I managed to get you a ship that could got house people a great start of you ask me. They will be your first fee friends make sure their trustworthy and willing to take extra steps for you. Where do you plan to go first? Ryu: I don't know yet I plan to expand my horizons a little more but in that time you will hear more from me via the World Government. See you later you old bastard.
