Another world ?

"It's your fault we can't catch dinner." A young boy, his wet black hair and blue eyes, was butting heads with a green dog-like monster adorned with yellow markings near a river.

"Elec! Electrike!"

"Elec my ass! No matter how you look at it, it's because you're too slow! My traps are perfect!"

"Grrrr." The small monster's eyes turned red upon hearing the insult, and its body started crackling with yellow lightning.

æ"Come on! Who's afraid of who?" The boy, unafraid, responded with the same ferocity, his body flickering with blue lightning.

The sun lazily set across the horizon, casting a golden hue over the field where a young man and a dog-like monster were peacefully resting near the lake after days of travel.

"Man, Hoenn is so much fun compared to Sinnoh, right Ace?"

"Manectric!"

Suddenly, their tranquility was shattered by two columns of flame surging toward them from opposite directions.

Boom

Smoke and dust enveloped the area as Sora and Manectric acrobatically evaded, narrowly avoiding a collision between the two fire attacks.

As the smoke cleared, two figures clad in black uniforms emblazoned with a big red 'R' stood before them.

"Prepare for trouble..." the woman declared. "...and make it double!" the man continued.

"Here's our mission, so you better listen! To infect the world with devastation! To blight all peoples in every nation! To denounce the goodness of truth and love! To extend our wrath to the stars above! Cassidy! And Butch, of course! We're Team Rocket, circling Earth all day and night! Surrender to us now or you will surely lose the fight!" they announced in unison, striking dramatic poses.

The young man raised an eyebrow, his amused smirk evolving into applause. "Bravo! Encore!" he teased before tossing a coin at their feet.

Bewildered, Butch and Cassidy exchanged glances, thrown off by this reaction.

"Go on, do it again," he quipped as if observing street performers.

"Misty, I can handle it here. You go and help them with Kyogre!"

Misty looked at the young man covered in blue scales, his blue eyes flickering with electricity. He held down a collapsed roof with one hand while pointing at a family of three levitating in the air.

"Can you handle it?" she asked, unsure. The situation was dire everywhere in Hoenn due to Groudon's attack. Every city had been hit, buildings had collapsed, and every elite was trying to save as many people as possible.

The young man before her might be an Aura Guardian, but saving all the people of one city by himself would be too much for him.

"Don't worry, I've got help. The most important thing is to stop the other one from launching a region-wide move. One move is bad enough," he assured her before tossing two Pokéballs. A Gengar and Tyranitar, both at the level of Gym Leader Pokémon, materialized in front of them, surprising her. 'Wasn't he an Electric specialist?'

"Also," three stars appeared in the young man's eyes. He threw another Pokéball, completely blue unlike a Super Ball. "Bring this guy along with you. He'll help you get there faster."

"Maaaa!" The Manectric cried out as three stars appeared in its eyes.

Misty clenched her fists. A gigantic tsunami following a region-wide earthquake would completely destroy the area. Wallace had already taken care of the one caused by the earthquake, but it must have exhausted his Pokémon. Plus, Hoenn didn't have another Water specialist as competent.

She got on the Manectric and gave a final look at the young man. "Good luck, Sora!"
