Makino playfully punched Ryuusaki's arm, covering her mouth as she giggled.
To be honest, the high fever had caught Ryuusaki off guard—it was an unexpected mishap, and he had genuinely lost consciousness. Thinking about how Makino had bathed him… Well, it only confirmed her role as his "big sister."
"By the way, you probably don't know much about Windmill Village yet, do you? Come on, let big sister show you around."
Without waiting for Ryuusaki to reply, Makino grabbed his hand and led him outside.
Makino was certainly not shy around him.
Windmill Village was a peaceful and tranquil place, with villagers who were generally kind-hearted. As Makino strolled through the village with Ryuusaki, she introduced him to the villagers, and Ryuusaki politely greeted each one.
However, today was a bit unusual. For reasons unknown, they happened to run into Garp.
Garp had just returned to visit Ace and happened to encounter Makino and Ryuusaki.
"Isn't this Makino? Who's that kid with you? I've never seen him before," Garp asked.
"He's my little brother, Ryuusaki!" Makino responded.
Makino pointed to Garp and introduced him to Ryuusaki, "This is Grandpa Garp."
"Hello, Grandpa Garp," Ryuusaki said politely.
"Bwahahaha… Makino, your little brother is as polite as you are!"
"Hehe, of course," Makino said, looking a bit proud.
"So, Ryuusaki, do you want to join the Navy?" Garp asked unexpectedly, catching Ryuusaki off guard.
"No, I don't want to join the Navy," Ryuusaki replied bluntly. "My dream is to become a blacksmith."
"A blacksmith?" Garp was taken aback. Was that even considered a dream? How was that any different from being a salted fish?
In reality, Ryuusaki had already made up his mind. He had no idea how long he'd be undercover in this village, and training seemed unlikely. Instead of wasting time, he figured he might as well learn a secondary skill.
He had mentioned becoming a blacksmith before, but his time at the training base had been consumed by endless drills, leaving him no time to learn the craft. Now that he had some free time, why not pick up the trade?
After some small talk, Garp hurried off to check on Ace.
Watching Garp's retreating figure, Ryuusaki couldn't help but take a deep breath. The old man's talent was truly astonishing!
Garp's Abilities:
- **Basic Physical Ability (126)**
- **Basic Strength (130)**
- **Basic Martial Arts (112)**
- **Basic Fist Technique (137)**
- **Basic Kicking Technique (97)**
- **Armament Haki (131)**
- **Observation Haki (99)**
- **Conqueror's Haki (100)**
- **Navy Six Styles (99)**
The old man had three abilities that exceeded 130—Basic Strength, Basic Fist Technique, and Armament Haki.
No wonder they called him "Iron Fist Garp."
With strength, fist technique, and Armament Haki all over 130, the damage from his attacks would be incredibly formidable.
And in other areas, Garp was far from weak.
It was enough to make anyone envious, jealous, and resentful!
This was definitely someone Ryuusaki couldn't afford to provoke—at least not now.
Garp's talent, to a certain extent, reflects the caliber of a Four Emperors-level individual, as well as those legendary pirates. It's likely that Whitebeard and the others are similar.
After walking around the village with Makino for a bit longer and getting a general idea of the layout, Ryuusaki returned home with her.
Makino's parents had passed away, leaving her with no close relatives. She lived alone in a large house with four rooms.
Ryuusaki, now living in Makino's home, stayed in the room next to hers.
Ryuusaki had grown quite fond of Makino. Over the past few days, she had taken care of him while he was sick. So, in the evening, Ryuusaki decided to cook a meal to thank her.
Although Ryuusaki had never cooked in this world, in his previous life, he could whip up a few home-style dishes without much trouble.
However, as soon as he finished cooking, an unexpected notification sounded in his mind:
"Congratulations to the host for unlocking the **Chef** talent: (36)."
"What the…? Cooking counts as a talent?"
"Yes, but talent points can't be allocated to combat-related talents. They can only be used for life skills talents."
With this explanation from the system, Ryuusaki understood.
Combat-related talents remained in their own category, such as physical techniques, Haki, swordsmanship, etc.
On the other hand, life skills talents were in a separate category, including things like cooking, tailoring, and blacksmithing.
"Wait a minute, does that mean I can allocate points from other life skills talents into my blacksmithing talent?" Ryuusaki was thrilled at the possibility.
Humming a little tune, Ryuusaki cooked a few more dishes and set the table.
"Wow, Ryuusaki's cooking tonight? What are you so happy about?" Makino asked, a smile on her face.
"Hehe, of course, it's to celebrate having a beautiful sister!"
"You're quite the sweet talker! Let me see how your cooking tastes… Hmm, not bad!" Makino said, clearly impressed.
Ryuusaki flashed a bright, proud smile.
"Oh, by the way, Makino…" Ryuusaki began.
"Just call me Maki."
"Okay, Maki-nee, were you mending clothes earlier in your room?"
"Yes, I was."
"Let me give it a try."
"Hey, hey…!" Makino tried to stop Ryuusaki, but he had already dashed into her room.
And then… things got awkward.
On Makino's bed lay some clothes she hadn't finished mending yet, including a white, delicate undergarment of hers.
Ryuusaki scratched his head and glanced back at Makino, who was standing in the doorway, her face bright red.
But determined to unlock the **Tailor** talent, Ryuusaki gritted his teeth, grabbed the needle and thread in one hand and Makino's undergarment in the other.
"Alright, let's see… Insert the needle here… Ow, damn, I pricked my finger!"
"Stop messing around!" Makino, blushing even more, quickly walked over, snatched her undergarment from his hand, and hurriedly hid it under a pillow. Then, she pushed Ryuusaki out of the room.
Ryuusaki allowed himself to be pushed out, not resisting at all, because he had just unlocked the **Tailor** talent.
**Talent: Tailor (12)**
Only 12 points—not very impressive, but it didn't matter. There were still other life skills talents to unlock!
After finishing dinner with Makino, the two of them sat on the porch, chatting while looking up at the stars.
"Maki-nee, who's the blacksmith in our village?" Ryuusaki asked.
"His name is Samuel. But, Ryuusaki, are you really planning to become a blacksmith?"
"Yes, I am! Why do you ask?"
"Well…" Makino hesitated.
Ryuusaki took Makino's hand. "Maki-nee, you can tell me anything."
"Actually, I was hoping you'd help me run the tavern."
