14 Gaimon's Island.

The Straw Hat Pirates have officially obtained their ship, Going Merry. Now, they are training their Haki to become even stronger, everyone but one member that is.

"What a foolish pirate group. Knowing that the captain of the Going Merry is the great Usopp, how dare they attack?!" Usopp was fooling around.

"Yeah, bastards this is a real fight!" Usopp was playing with a pole he found on the ship.

Luffy, Zoro and Kaizo were training Haki and Nami was checking the map to make sure she's going the right direction.

"We are still a little too green. Our bodies need to reach a certain level to properly learn and or use Armament Haki. Luffy, you've learned the base of Observation so, try to focus on that while using these." Kaizo handed some bracelets to Luffy.

Luffy touched them and immediately felt tired and drowsy.

"What's this?" Luffy.

"Sea-Prism Stone bracelets." Kaizo.

"Sea-Prism Stone?" Nami.

"As you know, Devil Fruit users have the weakness of seawater, however, there's a rare type of metal with the exact properties that weakened their powers." Kaizo.

"Why give Luffy something like that?" Zoro.

"To build resistance, even though it affects us it doesn't completely erase our powers. So, I theorized that we can still use our powers to some extent while being affected. Look, even I have some with me." Kaizo showed his wrist with a Sea Prism Stone bracelet.

"Heh, is that the reason you told me to take that metal to the smithy?" Nami.

"Yeas, you did bring the other things, right?" Kaizo.

"Remind me again, why did you make tops with metal?" Nami.

"For entertainment." Kaizo took his tops and stored them away.

"Luffy, Zoro, take some rest, overdoing it will be worse than good." Kaizo.

"Kaizo, I still want to become stronger." Zoro.

"Me too!" Luffy.

"I understand how you feel but, remember that life can't be spend training obsessively. A wise man once said: 'You have to work, you have to learn, you have to eat, you have to rest... and you also have to play. Those are the bases of a good training to have a good condition.' It means that all of this training is useless if we are slaves of it. we have to enjoy our life to its maximum!" Kaizo.

Everyone was surprised by Kaizo's words and realized the truth behind them, Luffy and Zoro wanted to become stronger but, they wouldn't allow themselves to not enjoy life just for that.

Both of them nod and decide to spend some time for themselves. Zoro goes to sleep while Luffy starts drawing something on a black flag. After a couple of minutes, he finished.

"Its ready!" Luffy spoke while raising his flag.

It looked quite bad and everyone had different opinions about it.

"Look! Our pirate flag, since Usopp joined us, we already have 5 Nakama so, we should have our own signature Jolly Roger." Luffy.

"Is that…our Jolly Roger?" Zoro.

"How is it? quite neat, right?" Luffy.

"A pirate flag is supposed to instill fear and panic." Zoro.

"I can indeed feel fear and panic, but that's about Luffy's artistic abilities." Nami.

"I abstain myself from commenting." Kaizo.

"Tsk, tsk, tsk. Why didn't you ask me about this before? I'm a master painter." Usopp.

"A master?" Luffy.

"I've had my fair share of experience drawing graffities around the village since I was small. Here, let me give it a try." Usopp took the flag and repainted it.

"Now! Feast your eyes in this masterpiece!" Usopp proudly raised a flag with his design on it.

"Who told you to draw yourself?!" Luffy, Kaizo and Zoro gave him a small bump on his head.

He then redoes the flag and now is ok. It was a normal skull with bones crossed behind it but, it was wearing a straw hat.

"Well, I guess this'll do." Usopp.

"That's quite nice." Nami.

"Indeed." Kaizo.

"Yeah, that's perfect, I like it." Luffy.

"So, this'll be our Jolly Roger…" Zoro.

"Yosh! Usopp, paint it on the sail!" Luffy.

"Ok." Usopp.

With the boat decorated with the characteristic skull, the Straw Hat Pirates are officially formed.

While the group sail throughout the seas, a storm brewing on their way catches their attention.

"Is it coming this way? It looks dangerous." Luffy.

"What? We should change directions." Usopp.

"Wait. That island is… Yeah it is, without a doubt!" Nami.

"Did you see something interesting?" Luffy.

"Its an island with a legendary treasure." Nami.

"A treasure?" Luffy.

"I've heard about it. a supposedly mysterious island that gives divine punishment to whoever is dumb enough to even take a step on it." Kaizo.

Usopp freaks out and gets his "I can't go the mysterious island or I'll die sickness". The storm then begins to get worst and the entire boat is at its mercy.

"I-is this what they meant about d-divine p-p-p-punishment?" Usopp.

"Now that I think bout it, it sounds kind of fun." Luffy.

"Luffy, you're not saying…" Usopp.

"Exactly! We'll get the treasure!" Nami.

'Divine punishment, huh? Do I have to pray to Wexof? I can't deny the fact that a deity exists but, he didn't seem all that high and mighty at all. I'm conflicted.' Kaizo.

"Let's go! To the mysterious island!" Luffy.

Everyone gets in position to make sure Merry arrived safely to the island. The Straw Hats arrived and docked at the island, they moved together as a whole group to prevent anyone from getting lost, mainly Zoro.

"Still, this is quite the mysterious island." Usopp spoke from behind Zoro.

"They say that there's a legendary treasure here." Nami.

"If everyone knows that, then wouldn't some pirate groups have already taken said treasure?" Kaizo.

Nami stopped moving and looked at Kaizo with evil eyes. 'Don't curse it!' was all Kaizo understood from her gaze.

Everyone began looking for clues, except for Zoro who was asleep and Kaizo who already knew about the island and its treasure.

'He should be appearing here anytime now.' Kaizo.

Luffy found a rabbit-snake but didn't think it was weird so he didn't say anything but, Usopp and Nami saw a bat-panda and a rooster-wolf and freaked out immediately.

Suddenly, an ominous voice was heard.

"Get out of here…!" The ominous voice.

"Show yourself!" Luffy.

"Get out of here…!"

"Where does that voice come from?" Nami.

"I am the protector god of this island. If you value your lives, go back the way you came." Ominous voice.

"Protector?" Luffy.

"You are pirates…are you not?"

"Yes, we are." Luffy.

"I already had a hunch about it."

"A real God wouldn't make such a question." Nami.

"Listen, if you even dare to take one more step forward, I will punish you for your actions."

"I don't care. Why're you giving us options anyway? Are you an idiot?" Luffy.

"Don't you dare mess with me, Straw Hat…!"

From the forest emerges various weird-looking animals that have surrounded the group.

"What the hell are these things?" Usopp.

"The humans that dared to come here for the treasure…have been transformed into these animals by me!"

"S-so, are you really…GOD?" Usopp.

"It's a bluff." Kaizo.

"Huh?" Everyone.

"If you were God, you could've prevented us from stepping into this island in the first place, your real identity must be a person who is stuck here and is trying to keep the treasure all for yourself, am I right?" Kaizo.

'Although there's no treasure in the first place.' Kaizo.

"S-shut up! I'll show you the divine punishment!"

A series of traps began to activate one after another aiming to end the Straw Hat's lives. Zoro evaded them in his sleep, Luffy and Kaizo effortlessly dodged them and Usopp and Nami were lucky that none hit them.

In his arrogance, a big rock fell on Luffy but nothing happened to him thanks to his fruit.

"Now you've done it, God!" Luffy.

"You dropped your guard, its your fault." Kaizo.

"How are you still fine?!" The ominous voice came from a nearby bush.

"There you are." Luffy.

"Do not move!"

Luffy moves.

"I told you to not move!" From the bush came out a bullet aimed to Luffy's heart.

But, since he is rubber, it didn't damage him in any way.

"I-it can't be!"

"Hey, God, sorry to tell you that guns don't work with him." Nami.

"Still…I don't like to get surprised like that." Luffy.

"It's a monster!" The ominous being begins to run away.

"There he is." Usopp.

"Luffy, I chose you!" Kaizo.

"Yosh!" Luffy begins to pursue the being.

Luffy eventually catches up with the being and corners him into a cliff. The being tries to escape but ends up falling and, due its cubical body, he couldn't stand up.

"He's human!" Nami.

"So funny, is he a brush?" Luffy.

"This guy…how dare you pose as God?" Usopp.

'Says Go D Usopp.' Kaizo.

"Shut up and help me get up." The human.

He was browned skin, a black bear and a big green afro.

"Ok, but don't get mad." Usopp.

Usopp and Luffy help the guy but he tries to flee once again. Luffy grabs unto a corner of the chest he was trapped inside and accidentally tackles him after losing his balance.

Both of them fly unto the edge of the island and fall. Fortunately, Luffy is quick minded and managed to grab a root from the edge and stretched back up, while holding the green afro guy and accidentally sending him towards a tree.

'How did that chest resist such impact?' Kaizo wondered the anime logic.

After some scolding and bandaging, the green afro guy was healed up from his bruises.

"Ok, you are good to go." Nami.

The green afro guy doesn't say anything and let his animal friends to cuddle with him.

"You're quite popular…God." Nami.

"You've been using them to scare anyone who came to this island, right?" Usopp.

"As expected from the master of lies." Kaizo.

"OI!" Usopp.

"It's the first time that I see a human living inside a treasure chest. Are you the son of the chest?" Luffy.

"Yes, my dear mother is the chest… as if that could be possible! I'm stuck inside this treasure chest! I've been trapped inside of this chest and island for the last 20 years." the green afro guy.

Usopp takes out a thermos filled with hot coffee and drinks it. Kaizo does the same but with some cola.

(Yes, he bought cola many episodes ago when he lived in Shells Town. Got a problem with that? If he has an inventory with him, why not store essentials? Also, the inventory is limited to what fits inside, it is approximately as big as a bicycle wheel and Kaizo feels the weight of the things inside his soul as if he was carrying them on his back.)

'Crap, I feel so heavy, but its better than leave Nami with my money.'

Kaizo has quite the quantity of stuff in his soul pocket. Around 300 Kg worth of stuff.

"My whole hair became green, and my eyebrows have become an unibrow. I haven't spoken to a human in 20 years. Do you have any idea how sad that is?" Green afro guy.

"So what?" Nami.

"The hell did you say?!" Green afro guy.

"What's your name, Ossan?" Kaizo.

"Oh, my name is Gaimon, nice to meet you." Gaimon.

"Nice to meet you." Everyone.

While they were getting to know Gaimon, Zoro appeared from the jungle while yawning.

"*YAWN* So this is where you guys were." Zoro.

"How could you remain asleep amongst all that chaos?" Nami.

Zoro takes Usopp's coffee cup and sits on a rock, he takes a sip, sighs and finally notices Gaimon's presence.

"What the hell is that?!" Zoro was so startled that he dropped the cup on the floor and he fell from the rock.

"Bout time you noticed him." Nami.

"He's the son of the treasure chest." Luffy.

"He's son from that chest?" Zoro.

"Yes, my dear mother is the chest… as if that could be possible! Stop it with the running joke!" Gaimon.

Luffy then grabs Gaimon from his head and tries to pull him out.

"Zoro, help me out." Luffy.

Both of them try to get Gaimon out of the chest but fail.

"Ah, he's really stuck in there." Luffy.

"You both realize that you've could've snap his neck, right?" Kaizo.

"WHY DIDN'T YOU STOPPED THEM THEN?!" Gaimon.

"Meh, was distracted with a butterfly." Kaizo.

Gaimon snaps at Kaizo but he keeps ignoring him.

'Master'

'What is it?' Kaizo.

'I feel a familiar presence.'

'Familiar?'

'I sense a devil fruit from 800 years ago.'

Kaizo is surprised by that remark.

'A Devil Fruit that's so special that even my sword reacted to it? I'm intrigued.'

Kaizo begins to imagine about the Devil Fruit he's about to find.
