Sleeping Ancient Town

A massive pirate ship swiftly sailed on the open sea in the New World.

"Hey, Captain Locks, do you believe that Sleepy Town has the Mythical Zoan-type Devil Fruit you mentioned?" Enel sat bored at the bow of the ship, fishing. 

He saw Locks coming out of the cabin and curiously asked. Locks leaned over the ship's railing, gazing at the distant horizon. 

"I'm not sure, but the information I received indicates that fruit may exist on that island. So, no matter what, I must see for myself."

"Is that so? Oh, oh! I've got a fish!" Enel suddenly pulled up his fishing rod, revealing a fish over three meters long.

"Hahaha! Impressive catch! I guess we'll have an extra meal tonight," Locks chuckled, watching Enel's excitement.

Even though Enel was fifteen years old now, he still seemed relatively immature. His recent acquisition of the title "Sky King" had only made him more arrogant.

Throughout the past six months of battling on the high seas, Enel had earned the right to be proud. He had grown into a formidable force within the Locks Pirates.

"Captain Locks! We've spotted a pirate ship ahead!" Just as Locks was enjoying the view, one of the crew members shouted.

"Their flag indicates they're the Bounty Hunter Pirates, led by Soros, with a bounty of 315 million Berries!" Locks heard the crew member's report and walked over to see for himself.

A pirate ship displaying a black skull and crossbones flag with a crown on its head, surrounded by piles of gold and silver treasures, was rapidly approaching them. Soros, the Bounty Hunter Pirate captain, had set his sights on Locks and his crew.

Soros was known for his obsession with treasure. He would plunder every ship he encountered on the open sea, be it merchant vessels, pirate ships, fishing boats, or even Marine warships. 

He had earned himself the infamous reputation of someone you both hoped and dreaded to meet on the high seas.

"I didn't expect to run into this guy in this sea area. He seems to be targeting us aggressively. Is he considering me a target?" Locks smiled wryly, showing genuine interest in the approaching pirate ship.

"Good timing, as I needed to allocate funds for Vegapunk recently," he added.

"Prepare for battle, everyone. Enel, once they get closer, use your abilities to seal off this area. I want to capture Soros alive."

"Understood, Captain Locks! I can't believe we'd encounter such a fool on these seas. He dares to attack us," Enel replied confidently.

He transformed into a white cloud and soared into the sky. A thick mist covered the area in no time, extending for one kilometre in all directions.

"Huh? What's going on?" On the Bounty Hunter Pirates' ship, Soros raised an eyebrow, looking at the sudden fog surrounding them.

"Why did it suddenly fog up? Could they have detected us?" Soros muttered to himself.

Soros had a unique appearance with crimson spiky hair, a massive build, a fierce countenance, a black eye patch, and a shirtless upper body showcasing his robust muscles.

However, this unexpected fog didn't deter Soros. Instead, he ordered his crew to speed up. His subordinates, eager for action, raised their weapons, ready to attack the approaching Locks Pirates.

"I didn't expect to encounter such a moron on this journey. Is he treating me as his prey?" Locks, noticing the fog, couldn't help but smile.

"Heh! Is that you, Enel?" Upon seeing Enel's face, Soros couldn't help but exclaim. Enel's recent feats had spread his name far and wide throughout the world.

Moreover, as an officer of the Locks Pirates, Enel had become even more notorious, making everyone wary of him.

"His Captain! Damn it! So, this ship belongs to the Locks Pirates! What's worse is that Locks himself is on board!" Soros cursed, his expression darkening.

He never imagined that he would encounter Locks during this raid. Moreover, he regretted not gathering enough information before taking action.

"That bastard Enel! Does he think I'm the kind of man who would easily admit defeat?" Despite his inner turmoil and frustration, Soros remained steadfast. 

In his own words, he would never bow down to anyone unless it involved gold and silver treasure.

"Deadly Chain!" Soros roared. His arms transformed into two thick chains coated with Haki.

Imbued with Haki, these deadly chains shot out at high speed like venomous snakes, aiming to strike Enel in the sky.

"Hmph, it seems you've chosen whether to meet my Captain on your terms or let me beat you to a pulp before presenting you to him," Enel scoffed.

Before the chains could reach him, Enel swiftly transformed into elements, dodging the attack effortlessly. Then, a massive black cloud formed in the sky.

Gales, ice spikes, downpours, and lightning followed Enel's command, collectively descending upon Soros below.
