The society's fall and its president's death were catastrophic for Jeff and Miles, the two significant combatants.

"Jeff, go to the New World. We can't let the president's death be in vain. You and I alone can't avenge the president, but Vice-Admiral Bista can!" After a long period of silence, Miles, who had a notoriously short temper, spoke with an oddly calm tone.

Jeff's body trembled, and he responded in a deep voice, "What about you? Aren't you coming with me to the New World?"
