Chapter 59: Haughty Serpent

(3rd Person: POV)

Looking at Weisz Sung-Sun had a rather haughty expression on her face.

Seeing this irritated Weisz.

'Who does this woman think she is?' Weisz thought. 'Just because she's a little cute doesn't give her the right to look at me like that.'

As Weisz gaze intensified on Sung-Sun she backed up, and raised her left sleeve to cover her arm. "Can you not look at me with that lecherous gaze of yours. It makes me fill ill." She harshly spoke.

"What?" Weisz questioned.

"Did you not hear me pirate, I said stop looking at me with your lecherous gaze, or is there nothing in that head of yours that allow you to understand the words I am speaking." Sung-Sun spoke. Her left arm sleeve still covering her mouth as she did so.

Hearing Sung-Sun words Weisz felt like he was being insulted. Yet in a way that was completely foreign to him.

Shrugging his shoulders and letting the strange insults pass over his head Weisz raised Punisher in Sung-Sun direction and pulled the trigger. However the attack completely missed its marks as Sung-Sun used her observation haki to dodge Weisz attack.

Once she did Sung-sun quickly closed the distance to Weisz and began stabbing at him with her two Sai blades. But using his own observation haki Weisz dodged her attacks.

Though just barely.

Since as Sung-Sun continued attacking Weisz her speed gradually increased.

Making it that much more difficult for Weisz to avoid getting skewered. Yet he did so.

Continuing to dodge Sung-Sun attacks Weisz finally decided he had had enough.

Using soru he moved back from Sung-Sun and then raised Punisher at her. Pulling the trigger.

But just like before Sung-Sun dodged each and every one of Weisz shots. A smirk on her face as she did so.

Seeing this only served to infuriate Weisz.

"Just you wait, I'll wipe that smirk off your face." Weisz spoke.

'Words are cheap. But I guess for a pirate they are all you have." Sung-Sun replied in a haughty manner.

Dodging the last of Weisz shots as she did so.

Noticing he was out of ammo Weisz jumped back and tried to put some distance between him and Sung-Sun while he reloaded Punisher.

But Sung-Sun wasn't going to allow that.

The instant Weisz jumped back Sung-Sun body underwent a transformation.

Within a moment she became a snake-human hybrid.

Since the zoan-type devil fruit Sung-Sun ate was the Hebi Hebi No Mi; Model Cottonmouth.

The second after her transformation was completed Sung-Sun slithered forward at incredible speed and closed the distance to Weisz without even trying. She then attempted to coil around him.

But before Sung-Sun could coil around him and immobilize him Weisz used Geppo and escaped into the air.

Seeing this Sung-Sun was slightly shocked.

Ignoring his opponents shocked expression Weisz quickly re-loaded Punisher. Then once it was completed he aimed it at Sung-Sun and pulled the trigger.

But just like with all his other attempts Sung-Sun dodged all of the shots Weisz made at her.

'Dammit, her speed is no joke. I need to pin her down in one place somehow, otherwise I'm screwed.' Weisz thought. He then quickly thought of ways to keep Sung-Sun in once place when an idea popped into his head.

The moment it did so Weisz slightly smirked.

He then reached into one of the pouches he wore on his belt and pulled out a small black object the size of an orange, completely black in color with a small button sitting atop it in the dead center.

"It's still un-tested but what the hell. No time like the present." Weisz spoke.

He then pushed the button atop the black orange-like object and threw it at Sung-Sun.

Seeing the object sailing towards her Sung-Sun scoffed. "Are you so desperate you will simply throw any object at me thinking it will help you achieve victory pirate. How utterly foolish." She haughtily spoke.

Sung-Sun then prepared to use her snake tail to smack the object coming towards her away. But before she could it exploded, releasing a blinding and powerful light.

"Ah, my eyes!" Sung-Sun shouted. Using her arms to cover her eyes the second after she did so.

Meanwhile Weisz had already closed his eyes beforehand since he knew what was going to happen.

The object was his invention after all.

Well an invention Roberts gave him the idea for. But still, Weisz built it so the invention is his.

Which is a flash grenade.

A weapon Roberts knew would be very useful to his crew, so he gave Weisz the idea to build it and he did so. Simple as that.

Opening his eyes Weisz stopped using geppo and landed back on the deck of the marine warship. He then raised Punisher in the direction of Sung-Sun and fired.

As she was still blinded by the sudden flash from the flash grenade her reaction time was slowed dramatically. Thus allowing Weisz's shots to hit their mark this time around.

"Agh!"

Sung-Sun screamed and hissed in pain as the shotgun blasts tore into her body, injuring her.

Even so that was not even to bring the snake woman down.

The pain she felt snapped her back to her senses, and Sung-Sun began dodging Weisz shots again before he could finish her off.

Seeing this Weisz clicked his tongue.

But right after he did so Sung-Sun leveled a murderous glare at him.

"Die!" Sung-Sun hissed.

She then used soru to closed the distance to Weisz and stabbed at him with her two sai blades.

Not wanting to get stabbed Weisz used geppo to take to the air and dodge Sung-Sun attack. But before he could get far Sung-Sun wrapped her tail around Weisz's left leg and violently slammed into the deck of the ship.

Then before Weisz could react Sung-Sun coiled around his body and knocked Punisher out of his hand.

She then brought their faces inches apart and bared her fangs at him.

"You can't get away from me now." Sung-Sun spoke.

"Uh, you know I always want to hear that from a woman but this is the one time I don't." Weisz said.

In response to this Sung-Sun took her Sai blades and moved to stab Weisz in his arms. The blades hit their mark, but bounced off Weisz skin since he used tekkai to tighten up his muscles and avoid any major damage.

But that didn't mean Weisz avoided any damage all together.

Both his arms now have massive gashes on them.

"Stop struggling, and just die!" Sung-Sun spoke. Hissing after she did so.

She then began tightening her snake-like body around Weisz like a noose around a neck.

"Shit!" Weisz cursed, as Sung-Sun tightened herself around him more and more. Seeing Weisz pained expression made Sung-Sun smile with happiness.

"You damn sadist." Weisz spoke. Seeing the happy smile Sung-Sun has on her face.

"Didn't I tell you to shut up and die." Sung-Sun spoke.

She then moved down and bit Weisz near his neck with her fangs.

"Ah, dammit!" Weisz shouted. He then began flailing around.

Seeing this Sung-Sun pulled her head away from Weisz neck and looked at him. "Where is that spirit and bravado from earlier pirate? Hm? Come on, where is it?" She haughtily asked.

As Sung-Sun did so Weisz looked at her and smirked. "Right here. Get bent you snake sadist bitch." He said.

A second later Weisz then closed his eyes.

A moment after he did so another flash grenade like earlier went off.

Before Weisz wasn't simply flailing around because he was in pain.

Well, that is partially true.

But the main reason Weisz was moving about was so he could reach another one of his flash grenades and activate it.

As it went off just like before Sung-Sun was blinded.

This caused her to loosen her hold on Weisz.

When she did so he punched her in the face, and then slithered out of her grasp to retrieve Punisher.

The moment after Weisz did this he took aim and fired, hitting Sung-Sun with multiple shotgun blasts once again.

"Agh!!"

Screaming in pain Sung-Sun went down, reverting back to her human form.

Meanwhile Weisz stood to his feet and leaned Punisher against his right arm, victorious in battle.
