"Meteor Volcano!"

Sakazuki's voice echoed through the air, his intentions as clear as the azure sky above. He was summoning a meteor volcano, a self-detonating spectacle of destruction, high in the sky.

This time, however, the volcanic projectiles were not launched into the sky first. Instead, they exploded directly in mid-air, a dazzling yet deadly display of fireworks.

"Prepare to intercept!" Brontes instructed, his voice steady despite the impending danger. Borsalino, standing beside him, nodded, his eyes reflecting the fiery spectacle above.

"What a reckless guy. Does he not realize the destructive power of his own fruit ability?" Borsalino mused aloud, standing up and readying himself alongside Brontes to prevent some of the volcanic projectiles from raining down on them.

"Rumble! Boom! Boom!"

The sky was filled with the thunderous roars of the exploding magma clusters.

Countless volcanic projectiles fell, and scorching lava rocks filled the entire sky. They descended onto the square below, trailing long tails of flame like falling stars.

Down below, Momonga and others hastily dodged, their faces flushed from the heat and their clothes singed from the close calls.

The impact of the volcanic projectiles hitting the ground sent tremors through the square, causing the ground to shake and buildings to tremble.

Some of the projectiles that landed on buildings were either shattered by lasers or broken by lightning, preventing the buildings from being impacted.

Amidst the chaos, Zed stood firm in the square, his eyes focused on the falling volcanic projectiles.

"Boom!"

With a single punch, he shattered one of the falling rocks. The rest didn't fall on his head, so he didn't need to deal with them.

"Inugami Guren!" As Zed looked up at the sky, a wave of magma shaped like a fanged doghead descended rapidly from above.

The magma doghead opened its mouth, spewing scorching magma that radiated a terrifying heat, and bit down towards Zed.

"Boom!!"

The magma collided with the ground, but Zed had disappeared from his spot. It was unclear whether he was enveloped by the magma or had managed to dodge its attack.

"Sakazuki, you have to control your emotions."

From the terrifying magma on the ground, the upper half of Sakazuki's body emerged. He was still searching for Zed's whereabouts. His Observation Haki allowed him to sense Zed's trace, but by the time he realized it, he was greeted by a black fist.

"Too late!" Sakazuki's eyes widened, he had no time to defend.

"Bang!"

Sakazuki was sent flying by the heavy blow, his body detached from the magma and flew dozens of meters away, leaving a trail of blood spit in the air.

"Is it over?" Borsalino asked, watching the scene unfold. His voice was calm, but there was a hint of uncertainty in his eyes.

"Not yet." Brontes shook his head.

He knew Sakazuki's tenacity and character better than anyone. There was no way he would give up so easily. The fight was far from over.

The square was filled with the smell of burnt earth and the sound of crackling fire. The air was heavy with anticipation, and the sky was still filled with the remnants of the meteor volcano.

"Magma Torrent!"

Sakazuki's roar echoed through the air, a primal scream of fury and desperation.

His body transformed into a molten mass in mid-air, splashing onto the ground with a thunderous crash.

From that point, a terrifying amount of magma spewed out, flooding the area like a torrent. Volcanic ash billowed above the magma, filling the air with a suffocating smell and turning the day into a nightmarish twilight.

"Gurgle! Gurgle!"

The scorching magma bubbled and churned, setting everything it touched aflame. Nearby trees ignited upon contact with the magma, consumed in an instant, their ashes carried away by the hot wind.

In a matter of moments, the entire square was covered in magma, a hellish landscape of fire and destruction.

Zed, using Moonwalk, leaped into the air. The ground was now a sea of magma, leaving no place to land.

The other recruits had already run to the high ground where Brontes and his group were, their faces pale and their eyes wide with fear.

"Is Sakazuki trying to destroy the elite camp?" Jonathan asked, his voice barely audible over the roar of the magma.

"He's desperate, like a madman. This is just a test, he can't seriously think he can defeat Instructor Zed." Dalmatian commented, his eyes never leaving the spectacle below.

"A determination to win, even in defeat, requires true strength. At least he's lasted longer than you guys." Borsalino retorted, his voice filled with a strange mix of mockery and disdain.

"Can you not belittle us? Not everyone has a Logia-type Devil Fruit ability like you three." Comil responded, his voice tight with frustration.

"Let's see how he fights next. Instructor Zed hasn't even gotten serious yet, and that punch just now must have hurt him." Brontes said, his eyes focused on the scene below.

"He's coming out!" Borsalino suddenly said, his voice filled with anticipation.

"Gurgle!"

As they spoke, the magma on the ground began to stir. Then, dozens of red objects leaped out from the magma. They were made of magma, but they took the form of dark red colored red wolf-dogs.

"Inugami Guren!"

Sakazuki's voice echoed from the magma. Dozens of dark red dogheads leaped from the magma, charging towards Zed in the sky.

"Ultimate Radius: Six King Pistol!"

Zed raised his hand, a white halo appearing around his wrist, and a terrifying aura emanated from him.

"Boom!"

With that punch, a massive shockwave erupted. The leaping magma dogheads were all knocked down, losing their shape in mid-air and turning into blobs of magma.

"Great Eruption!"

Suddenly, from the scattered magma dogheads, a mass of magma coalesced again around Sakazuki's fist. His gigantic dark red fist aimed for Zed's chest, he was giving it his all.

"You're still too green." Zed said with a broad smile.

Without any fancy moves, his arm, wrapped in shining black luster, Armament Haki, and collided heavily with Sakazuki's fist.

"Boom!"

The impact echoed through the square.

Magma erupted, splattering everywhere, due to the violent collision of their fists.

"Splat!"

Finally, after holding on for a moment, the mass of magma fell to the ground.

Smoke was rising from Zed's fist; the temperature of the magma was too high. Even with the protection of Armament Haki, his arm was still burned.

However, Sakazuki's magma attack was sprawled out in a large area which made the magma gradually cooling down.

Sakazuki's chest was rising and falling, indicating he was still alive, but he had no strength left in his body. He laid there like a dead dog, his body battered and his spirit broken.

"Next one!" Zed's gaze turned to Borsalino. Clearly, he was next, with Brontes being the final one to take the assessment.

"What a hassle, but fine. Let's finish this quickly. Just a casual fight." Borsalino shrugged, removing his hat and emitting a dazzling light.

"Whoosh!" The next moment he was in front of Zefa. However, Zefa didn't give him a chance to react.

"Whizz, Bang!"

"Bang! Bang! Bang!"

"Bang! Bang! Bang!"

Zed didn't give Borsalino a chance and started beating the hell out of him, and he didn't stop until ten minutes passed.

"Now do you understand why I tell you don't depend on your devil fruit ability too much?" Looking at Borsalino's blue panda face, Zed said with a satisfied smile.

His words echoed through the square, a lesson for all the recruits watching.

"Is... is it over?" Momonga and others widened their eyes, watching the scene in disbelief.

This scene was like a father beating his son, or a bully picking on a kid? Borsalino had barely made a move before Zed beat the hell out of him.

"Brontes, it's your turn!" Zed's voice echoed in everyone's ears, a challenge that sent a shiver down their spines.

"Borsalino will be furious when he wakes up." Brontes chuckled. He finally saw just how much Zed disliked Polusalino.

His words were filled with amusement, but there was a hint of anticipation in his eyes. He was looking forward to his own fight with Zed, a chance to test his own strength against the formidable instructor.
