Training The crew II

After meeting with the mayor, Ragnar was tired. He wanted to take a rest today and went to bed early.

The next morning Ragnar woke up fresh and anew and went to check up on the training.

"Captain, When did you come back?" A trainee asked him.

"I got here yesterday and didn't do much so you didn't see me." Ragnar replied to the trainee and went to check up on the training of the crew.

"These guys are far behind our first few crew members, I think the training time needs to be increased." He said, Kashi came near him after seeing him check up on the training of the crew.

"Captain, How is the training?" He asked. Ragnar answered him.

"It is excellent, you even taught these guys spear and sword skills even if you are not a spear or sword user yourself, But they are lacking behind our older crew members." Ragnar said, Kashi seemed to agree to what Ragnar said.

"Yes, Indeed, the older ones have already awoke haki, These guys have great numbers but their strength is lacking." Kashi sighed, what he said was the exact fact.

"We must extend the training time then." Ragnar said, Kashi nodded.

"It has been four months since the training of the older ones started, let's train them till Eight more months." Kashi said.

"So, A year for the older ones?" Ragnar asked, Kashi Nodded. At this point Kazuma and shin joined in as well.

"What are you talking about Captain? Can I join?" Shin asked excitedly, he was an enthusiastic fellow, someone who wouldn't miss up an opportunity to join in on a friendly conversation.

"Oh Nothing just talking about improving the training and increasing the Days to train these guys." Ragnar replied, Over the past two weeks he had gotten to know Shin better, Shin was just a year younger than him making them excellent friends.

"Of course Captain is always thinking about the improvement of our crew." Kazuma said, He is the someone who thinks logically. He is very respectful to others and makes sure that he doesn't disappoint, a truly great person at heart. His current personality was hidden when he was under Nail Jack but his true personality started shining once he was out of Nail jack's tyranny.

"So, Captain Shall we continue the training for another eight months?" Asked Kashi, He is a very thoughtful and far sighted individual, often times shouldering others responsibilities, He is a different guy in battle though.

"Yeah, Like I said. I think everyome agrees with me doing so." Ragnar said.

"Of course, Why wouldn't we agree with you Captain." Shin said with a smile.

"I will go check up on the Trainees real quick." Ragnar said, he wanted to test what level these guys were for himself, his strength was unmatched by anyone so he can be an excellent teacher and sparring partner for these trainees for situations when they have to face much stronger opponents.

"Hey, you. What is your name?" Ragnar pointed at a spearman, he was welding an iron spear and was more muscular than the other guys alongside him. His strength and talent might be much greater than the guys around him, a potential division commander.

"Me, Suzen." He replied, He was intrigued why the captain was interested in him.

"I want to test the ability of you new recruits, come at me with all you've got Suzen." Ragnar said to Suzen as the spearman readied his spear, it was a dull one so he wasn't scared about harming the captain.

"If you say so, Haiyahh." Suzen said as he pointed his spear at Ragnar before rushing him, Right at the end of his attack, he pulled the spear up in great speed.

But Ragnar was two steps ahead from that, he was already being Senzai Aiming a low power punch but Senzai reacted fast, swinging his spear horizontally. The spear is not like many other weapons, it can be used for hammering, slicing and piercing opponents, and in the Slicing and hammering motions the power increases depending on the length on which it is held at and the arc covered by the tip.

Ragnar ducked under the heavy swing of the spear and Aimed a Kick right at the shins to cause Senzai to loose balance.

Senzai had already planned ahead in such situation, so he backed away and did a whole one eighty degree spin with the spear, the powe of the spear in a one eighty degree type motion is at its highest, Senzai's fast one eighty coupleed with the inertia of his previous attack gave the spear a terrific boost in strength, at this strength the polearm could slice a boulder.

Ragnar though wasn't some Norma guy though, he reacted to the attack fast and backed a step, the spear missing him by only an inch.

That is when Senzai had a shine in his eyes, he sent rapid piercing strikes at Ragnar, At this rate Ragnar would be pierced by the spear but he used his full speed and blurred behind Senzai inone quick motion and tapped Senzai's back.

"And, You're dead! Congratulations!!" Senzai stopped and reacted to the tap with a shocked expression.

'What terrifying speed, I couldn't even see a blur.' Senzai thought.

"You have great potential Senzai, Your great thoughtfulness and battle intelligence impressed me, from now on your training has bumped up to the same level as the older crew members." He offered Senzai a handshake which Senzai accepted.

"I hope you don't disappoint me in the future, See you later." Ragnar said before walking off.
