- Help 3 -
Traits the players keep are usually traits inherited from when they were alive & traits randomly given to you by the system when you first make your character.
Traits
Additionally, the traits given to players are based on the player's personality & mindset. The amount of traits given to players depends entirely on how much your vessel can take.
C
If the system judges that your vessel can take up to 100 traits, then it will give you 100 traits. If it judges that your vessel can only take up to 1 trait, vice versa.
a
Not all traits possess positive effects.
n
Traits like 'Limitless Potential' give you the capability to grow endlessly but also make your growth rate twice as slow and introduce you to the concept of 'bottleneck,' which makes the traits gives positive effect and a side effect to counter its positive effect.
Lev
Another example is 'Phobophobia' which gives you the fear for fear. An entirely negative trait that makes you scared 24/7.
el
Don't worry though, because traits are usually invisible to players and Heylail's case is extremely rare and only occurs once in 7.6 billion by 2018. So even if you get a 'Psychopath' trait, you don't have to worry about it because you won't figure it out anyway.
Up
similarly to skills.

One and a half years ago, when I first became aware of my surroundings, I found myself questioning my existence.
Craving attention, I would often poke the knees of the adults around me. They would glance in my direction, their eyes momentarily shifting from me to the one directed against a monkey that had escaped from its cage.
To them, my presence seemed troublesome, like an annoying piece of gum stuck to their shoe amid life's journey.
Coincidentally, the man I had poked that day was also pondering, 'Out of all the people here, why me?'
But, as fate would have it, that very day, the man had brought along his lover or someone he was eager to impress. So, he put on a facade of gentleness, not for me, but just for her.
In contrast to one's surprise, a child is surprisingly perceptive. That is because, unlike adults, they aren't aware of what to look like so they unconsciously indulge all the information that entered their vision to compromise their lack of experience.
So when the man put up a facade, I instantly knew it and no words entered my mind despite him talking to me 'gently.'
After all, such words weren't directed to me. It was directed at the girl whom he wanted to impress.
In contrast, the girl was impressed by his kind acts. Lovers, in the end, especially in the early days, only wanted to see the 'goods' of their couple.
Once the girl left to buy a drink, the man changed his expression faster than a TV channel in the 1980s and for the first time, said something to me.
"Who the fuck invited you to meddle in my good times with my girlfriend? If I see you next time doing the same things to me, I'll rip off that annoying yellow hair of yours. Now, fuck off, baka."
I was taught animosity.

Present
The girl carried by Ban in the waist tapped Ban who was having trouble communicating with me.
With a smug face that said 'Leave it to me,' Ban decided to trust her on this matter as the same age.
After being put down, a little girl of the same height approached me full of confidence.
"Hi, I'm Mistella! Who are you?" Mistella brought up a cute smile and introduced herself to me.
"Heylail," I said my name while hmphing. I hadn't forgotten that this girl laughed at me before.
Upon hearing my name, Mistella's smile perked up even more and turned her head to Ban as if she conquered an entire country and was proud of her own achievement.
"Heylail, how did you get here? I see no boat nor ship you rode from. Were you stranded from somewhere?"
If Mistella tried, she could speak respectfully. Just, like a good girl, she loved her grandpa the best and was enraged when I ignored her grandpa's talk.
In terms of that, I'm a bad boy because I don't have a grandpa. mid diff, mid diff...
I yawned as Mistella talked and she who noticed my yawning, stopped her right hand which was moving to punch my face with her left hand.
Grasping the concept of what they wanted to ask, I wrote a triangle in the air and gestured myself to eat it.
I showed myself big like a scared lesser panda and said "One Piece Online!"
Then pointed my finger down, indicating 'here.'
I praised myself for my genius explanation.
Mistella then returned to her grandpa's side.
"So what did he say?" Ban asked Mistella.
The entire conversation ended with Mistella's sentences. "I don't know."
"One Piece Online..." Ban muttered in a profound face.
"No clue."
Then, Ban continued after facepalming, "Arhh what a pain in the ass." After which, Ban nodded and made his resolution.
"Fine, kid. I'll teach you a verbal while training Mistella's Karate. I'll show you the vitality of an old man who used to be the best marine trainee and the intellect of an old man who was imprisoned at the institute."
"Be prepared because I won't let you go until you explain everything to me until I understand it," Ban directed his spiral fingerprint towards me.
Somehow, the conversation took a great turn as it ended up with Ban 'conveniently' deciding to educate me in words, despite me not understanding what he meant until the end.

A moment later, I sat down on the chair in a different room, wearing the same white clothes Mistella was wearing. I only found out later but this piece of clothing was called Gi. It was loose and comfortable to wear.
"Alright, sit down sit down, the great teacher Ban is here," Ban strangely said despite seeing me already sitting down.
In contrast to his laziness in teaching me words, his attire said differently because... well aside from his gi, he wore glasses.
In my opinion, glasses show how serious you are.
"We're taking calls, Mistella!" Ban looked at a paper as if he was reading out his students' name.
The content of the paper, though, was blank.
"Here, here!"
"Mistella! Why are you in agura? sit properly in seiza," Ban showed his strictness.
"But it's unfair! This guy is in agura too! Why me only!" Mistella pointed her finger at me.
"Because you are my disciple, and he is my student. Now quit chattering and sit properly. Or else, I won't take you to Drum Island or Arabasta."
"This is unfair. I want to quit being your disciple!" despite complaining, Mistella put her leg under her body and changed her posture.
Then, she looked at me as if I was her foe, 'This all happened because of you.'
I returned her gaze with a mocking grin.
Ban ignored the two's toxic relationship and began calling his student. "Heylail."
"Here?" I responded confused.
