15 Chapter 15: Killing Nezumi

Although Nami was disgusted by the inaction of the Marines, upon meeting Byakuya, her perception of the Marines underwent a slight change. 

When Captain Nezumi heard that Byakuya was also a Marine, he couldn't help but become wary. 

He wasn't here to avenge Arlong.

Over the years, Arlong had made a lot of money by exploiting the civilians under his control, giving a portion to Captain Nezumi as hush money to keep things under wraps. 

The rest was all kept for himself! With the Arlong Pirates getting into trouble this time, Captain Nezumi intended to seize all of their assets for himself.

"You're a Marine too?" Captain Nezumi questioned suspiciously. Byakuya calmly pulled out his identification and tossed it to Captain Nezumi. 

Seeing Byakuya so composed and able to single-handedly deal with the Arlong Pirates. 

Captain Nezumi knew he must be a high-ranking officer, perhaps a Rear Admiral or Vice Admiral.

Captain Nezumi took the identification without even looking at it, immediately putting on a flattering smile and quickly ordering the surrounding soldiers to withdraw. 

"This... it's all a misunderstanding. I thought it was just a feud between pirates!" 

If the man in front of him was a Vice Admiral or Rear Admiral. 

If the matter between Captain Nezumi and Arlong, once discovered, there would only be one way out - death.

"Sir, what are you doing?" Captain Nezumi kept trying to justify himself, 

"I haven't done anything illegal. I'm a Marine Captain!"

Byakuya narrowed his eyes, his voice chilling. "You know you're a Marine Captain? Arlong revealed everything about you before he died..." 

This ominous statement sent shivers down Captain Nezumi's spine. For a moment, he forgot to struggle.

Captain Nezumi knew he was as good as dead, but before he died, he wanted to put up one final resistance. 

"He's not a Marine at all, he's a notorious pirate! Open fire on him! Kill him!" 

Captain Nezumi shouted with all his might. 

Nearly a hundred guns simultaneously flashed with dazzling flames, bullets rushing toward Byakuya like a torrent.

"This is all your own doing!" Byakuya erupted with astonishing killing intent, tossing Captain Nezumi directly into the torrent of bullets. 

Captain Nezumi didn't even last three seconds before being riddled with bullets, instantly turning into a sieve. 

The sight of his gruesome death was unbearable! Byakuya appeared next to Nami in a flash, wrapping his arm around her slender waist.

"Ah!" Nami exclaimed in surprise. The two of them soared into the air! 

The Marines hastily commanded the soldiers to continue shooting at Byakuya and Nami in the sky. 

Just as nearly a hundred Marine soldiers were about to aim their guns at the sky, preparing for a second volley, "Too slow!" Byakuya calmly remarked.

At this moment, Byakuya's expression became extremely serious, his face displaying an indescribable determination as if carved from stone. 

Tremendous power surged through his body, ultimately concentrating entirely on his right fist. 

The intense force of his punch was like a raging storm swirling around him, soaring into the sky.

Instantly, fist imprints covering an area of several miles appeared on the ground! 

The entire Cocoyasi Village trembled as if it would cease to exist in the next moment. 

The area where the Marines stood collapsed in an instant, sinking dozens of meters deep.

Countless seawater gushed out from the underground, filling the collapsed area.

"Of course, I'm a Marine after all, I can't stay in one place forever, can I?"

"Okay." Nami's face was filled with reluctance, her eyes losing some of their sparkles. 

For some reason, this 'stranger' she had met less than a day ago had left a huge impression on her heart. 

She wanted to stay by his side but didn't know what reason to give to make him stay. The two walked in silence until they reached the shoreline.

Coby, who had been waiting on the ship for a long time, exclaimed excitedly upon seeing Byakuya, "Big Brother Byakuya, you're finally back!" 

"Who's this?" Nami asked playfully, tilting her head. 

Before Byakuya could respond, Coby, visibly excited, said, "I'm Coby, and I want to become as strong as Big Brother Byakuya in the Marines!"

"The Marines?" Nami's lively eyes blinked, contemplating something.

After bidding farewell to Nami, Byakuya gradually disappeared from her sight. 

Nami gazed at the sea, clenched her fist, and said firmly, "We'll meet again!"
