107 Chapter 107

"Do we still follow the plan?" Van Augur inquired of Blackbeard, who appeared to be lost in his thought.

Blackbeard slowly lowered himself, eventually settling onto the ground. He sighed, saying, "The circumstances have shifted, and we must seek out new opportunities."

Compared to Carnes or Bullet, his unease towards Red Hair was more pronounced.

After all...

With Carnes and Bullet, it's merely a matter of avoiding them. He just need not to mess with them. Under regular circumstances, they shouldn't pose a threat to me, if he didn't bother them.

But when it comes to Red Hair, it's uncertain. Whether his focus is fixed on him like a needle and whether Shanks will attack him depends entirely on his mood.

There was always this lingering animosity himself and the Red Hair?

"Boom!"

"Boom!"

A resounding boom resonated through the air.

Due to the incredible speed of the Red Force, the ship's hull collided with the harbor.

In an instant, all eyes were drawn towards the direction of commotion.

As the pirate flag, fluttering in the wind, became clear to their eyes, a collective gasp swept through the crowd.

Especially the Marines wore increasingly grim expressions.

"The Red Force? The Red Hair Pirates have arrived."

"Damn it, why are those Red Hair Pirates here? What's their purpose?"

"Curse it, if they're here to cause trouble, our situation at Marineford will worsen, our forces are in for a dire situation."

With the sudden appearance of the Red Hair Pirates, the tumultuous battle at Marineford came to a momentary standstill.

Standing at the forefront of the Red Force, the red-haired crew surveyed the ravaged Marineford, their demeanor somber as they took in the horrifying aftermath.

"Captain... it appears... we... we've arrived just a step too late," Lucky Roux uttered, his voice heavy with regret.

The redhead looked at the Whitebeard who had died standing, with mixed feelings in his heart, and after letting a heavy sigh, he jumped from his position, landing gracefully on the ground.

Observing this, other members of the Red Hair Pirates disembarked from their ship one by one, following closely behind their captain.

Carnes, suspended mid-air, furrowed his brow slightly, sensing that something was amiss, he couldn't recall the Red Hair Pirate's making such an early appearance in the original timeline.

Could it be... that his own actions somehow influenced the Red Hair Pirate's early entrance into Marineford, ahead of schedule?

As the red-haired captain walked forward, his gaze swept across the scene, landing upon Garp sprawled on the ground, a black rod piercing through him. His state, living or deceased, was uncertain. Shanks also noted Garp's bloodied form.

The Marine Admirals, all bearing evident wounds, did not escape his notice.

In this moment, the red-haired keenly understood the extent to which he had underestimated Carnes and his crew, a realization settling in like a weight.

Being capable of accomplishing this very act is ample evidence of the immeasurable might held by their pirate crew, it demonstrated an unfathomable prowess within their ranks.

What caught the redhead off guard, however, was the presence of Bullet amidst the chaos.

"Bullet... How did you end up here?"

Being the first to break the silence, Shanks leaned towards Bullet, inquiring with a mix of surprise and curiosity.

Bullet cast a glance, his lips curling into a grin.

"Decades have passed, Shanks, since we last saw each other. Time has a way of fading memories, doesn't it?"

The red-haired nodded in agreement.

"Yeah, reminiscing about the days when we both sailed under Captain Roger brings a wave of nostalgia."

As the red-haired spoke, he subtly shifted his gaze toward Carnes, suspended in mid-air.

"Several decades ago, I remember Captain Roger mentioning the formidable might wielded by the vice-captain of the Rocks Pirates.

Little did I anticipate witnessing your might firsthand after all those years, right here in the midst of Marineford."

Carnes met his words with an icy stare, choosing silence over a response.

The red-haired pressed on, "While I might lack specifics regarding the God's Valley Incident, I suspect that your purpose for being here revolves around Whitebeard."

"Now, with Whitebeard's death, your objective has been accomplished. Persisting in battle as we currently are will merely escalate the death toll on all three factions involved."

"Everyone gathered here, I implore you to consider this as a request, and bring an end to this conflict right now."

As his statement reverberated in the air, an eerie hush descended upon the assembled crowd.

"Cease? Are we done here?"

The Marines had long wished for this conclusion.

The Summit War had initially meant to be a showdown against the Whitebeard Pirates.

Yet, due to the unexpected arrival of Carnes, the Marines suffered an unprecedented setback.

What no one could have foreseen that the combined might of the Marine Hero, the Marine Fleet Admiral, and even Whitebeard himself would be needed to fight Carnes.

While the defeat in itself was a hard pill to swallow, the ultimate humiliation lay in being countered back and struck down.

As it stands, Whitebeard had perished in combat, the fate of the Marine Hero hung in uncertainty, the Fleet Admiral lay grievously wounded, and even the three Admirals were far from unscathed.

What kind of war was this? It has transformed into an unending nightmare.

This sentiment wasn't exclusive to the Marines; all present from the Whitebeard Pirates shared this desperate desire for resolution.

"End it? Hehehahahahahaha...

I hope you all must be joking here?"
