Chapter 28: Flee for your Life!
Seeing the regeneration capability of the angel Ken was at a loss for words, but that didn't last for long as he regained his composure, and before the angel could even attack him, he launched himself.
*SLASH* *Slash* *SLASH* *Slashx3*
Getting rid of all of its limbs once again, even though he thought that it shouldn't rise again, but oh, he was so wrong.
Not only did it rise, but it was fast too.
This prompted him to take a few steps back out of surprise and also to think of something.
Seeing how it was life this then surely its weak point was somewhere else, right?
It shouldn't be completely immortal. But from what he could see up till now, it really didn't seem to be easily killed, not to mention that it regenerates very fast, not even giving him a chance to study it.
"RAAAAAAAAAAAAaaaa!" Roaring once again, the angel was in so much pain that it saw the world in red.
Ken was now an enemy that it had to kill; it cared not for the orders anymore, wanting to see him shredded into countless pieces.
And thus, it tried to rush to do just that, but...
*Thud*
It couldn't.
Not with all of its limbs on the ground once again.
*Shhhrrr*
It rose up once again, its neck growing pats that looked for its head and its limbs connecting back to its torso.
But...
*Thud*
Every time it tried to regenerate, Ken cut it up again, making it grow incredibly frustrated time and time again.
"RAaAaaaa!"
*Thud*
"RAaaaa!"
*Thud*
"R-"
*Thud*
Ken cut it up from head to toe.
As his technique started reaching levels beyond what he had previously reached, transcending his previous understanding, his brain was still working on overload in tandem with his eyes, trying to look for the weak point that would make sure this monster wouldn't rise back again.
"You're really stubborn, aren't you?" For a second, Ken stopped to let the angel get back to its perfect form, but its body was no longer the same.
Drenched in its own blood, the wounds were still shurning violently, still healing, and even then, scars were visible, not able to completely disappear with the regeneration because of Ken's relentless attacks.
The monster no longer screamed; it looked at Ken the same way it had since the beginning, with focus, but now anyone could see the fear it had in its eyes.
For an emotionless monster like it to feel this way against Ken, it proved to show how far he came from the day he was in the ship, not able to move a single step farther so as to not alert the crew.
And this was only speaking from so far ago. His whole life had been spent hiding and scrambling for leftovers, as well as immeasurable hardships that would have left an ordinary mind crippled from pain and sadness.
Ken moved a single step, and in that slight action, a difference was seen in the angel's composure as it did not stand there unphased, but it took a step back.
A step back...
One had to understand what this meant. This monster wasn't made to fear; it wasn't made to escape. It was made to encompass a true angel's way of listening to commands and following them to the T.
Yet... the imperfections in the creation of this abomination that would be called a masterpiece by anyone if it wasn't so hideous, and it rightfully deserved to be called so, were shown.
"What now, scared?" Ken spoke, making the angel stop in its tracks, looking at him with more focused eyes than ever.
"Don't worry anymore." He said.
"You won't feel anything after this."
