Ron takes a look at Robin and understands in his heart that Robin's guard hasn't completely come down. He doesn't blame her. After surviving various pursuits and attacks for so many years, if it were easy for her to trust people, she would have died countless times already. If Ron wants Robin to truly join the pirate crew, it'll take time. Rushing it won't do.
