Josh's ship parked in the seaport. As his group was about to land, he was met by a group of people, making their way for the red carpet.
Josh turned his head to the girls who stood behind him.
He whispered. "Don't trust them… they do this usually to bait the pirates before hunting them."
They didn't have time to question him.
Viola let her mouth close to his ear. "You are right. In this place, I can see kids working. People seem to be afraid, and there are marines here. Weird, there is also a group of people that I have never seen."
Robin smiled. "This place is a neutral area. Marines and pirates aren't allowed to fight. The owner is a previous pirate who made his way as a businessman by paying money."
At the end of the red carpet, a car came before stopping.
"What's this?" Marianne asked.
"A car," Josh said, examining the gear from the roof to the wheel. It wasn't like the cars on Earth. Here, it had turtles that pushed it. Also, it was an old module, in comparison to what is on Earth.
"Oh. So this is what you wanted to recreate."
"Mine is better," Josh muttered. "Now, leave the talk to me."
The door of the car was opened, and a woman stepped out of it. She pushed her slightly dark red hair to the side and stood up to her full height. Her black dress revealed her legs and curvy body and her huge cleavage. Josh checked her out as she made her way to them, and he found that he has to lift his head a bit, as the woman was really huge… around 2.2 meters long. But it was nothing compared to most of the people around the New World.
'Still, more tolerable than my last fiancee.' Josh thought as he remembered Linlin. Subconsciously, he shivered. 'Even dead, that marriage offer shock will haunt me in my nightmares." Josh lowered his head a bit, letting his eyes on the pretty cleavage.
"Welcome everyone. Mr Gambler and his crew. Or should I call you, Mr Saint?" She said. Josh felt an elbow on his shoulder, and he stopped staring at her chest. Pretending that he was staring behind her at the car, he acted as if he only noticed their presence.
"Just call me Josh," Josh said as he lifted his head. She pushed her sunglasses, revealing her green eyes.
"Nice to meet you. I'm Baccarat. Let me be your tour then." Baccarat smiled.
Josh could feel something was missing, as he could read her mind. She was feeling fear, and not the light one.
'Oh My God. He summoned that giant and destroyed those bounty hunters… without moving a muscle. Why would someone like him be here!' Baccarat took a deep breath, silently. 'You got this Baccarat, act cool, make him happy, and we'll get out of this safe. Damn you Tesoro, I don't get paid enough for this.'
Josh had to admit that she is a good actress to act calm.
"You sound confident, I like that."
"He he… I'm confident in my luck." Baccarat brought her gloved hand to her mouth and giggled.
'That's right. I can use my ability to get more luck from the others. This should help me get things right. Besides, he doesn't look like a bad person… this should let things get easy.'
Josh looked directly into her eyes. He remembered now. This girl, has one of the most valuable Devil Fruits. It has no fighting abilities, but it's more important.
It's Luck Luck fruit. Baccarat can manipulate luck, take it from the others, and even transfer it to herself or others. She can make even the luckiest men alive unlucky.
Well. She must be lucky. She has a very hot tall curvy body like this and a pretty face with high cheekbones.
Seeing how he was examining her, Baccarat smiled slightly. As it seems, Josh's power made him respected to the extreme.
'Is he interested in me?' She thought.
"And why are you guiding us?" Robin asked. "Do you treat every passer like this?"
"Oh please, you aren't just a passer. You are on the list of VIP characters. Although this brunette isn't here, she is with you, right?" Baccarat took a book that showed everyone a picture except for Viola.
Josh lifted his head to the book. There was his picture and the crew. And they were from their older posters.
The truth was that they have every pirate and criminal with a high bounty on that book. It's used to trick them if they ever passed by here, to take their money before giving them to the Marines and their bounty. This version must be old since they didn't update it to remove Josh.
This, somehow, reminded Josh of his old casinos. He had been tricking pirates to spend all of their money before Gem and hunt them.
'I wonder, where is Gem.' Josh then looked at the friendly Baccarat. 'This girl, since I have already consumed three Devil Fruits, and I'm in need of luck, guess I won't mind picking up one last woman. The girls behind will understand.' Well, she is too hot and her look moved something in him. So why not?
"Do you have everyone with a bounty here," Josh said, and Baccarat held her flinch at his notice, her heartbeat was increasing at an unstable rate.
Josh never thought he would look scary in the eyes of the women one day. At this rate, she won't reach the comfort level he needs to proceed to take her later.
"Relax Baccarat, I won't bite." Josh patted the exposed skin of her arm. He then slowly said. "Unless you invited me to."
Baccarat's heartbeat rate changed to more stable. She then raised her eyebrows, realising that it was just a flirt. 'Is he interested in me… hmmm… all of the girls behind him are glaring at me, so it's it… I shouldn't tease much back."
Josh smiled, amused by her thoughts.
"I may bite back." Baccarat, as if she had never been nervous, said.
"I'd love to see that," Josh replied.
She smiled and pointed to the car behind her. "Please, get in. Let's take you to change your clothes before you can have fun."
The car was big enough for all of them and built in a limo-like design.
"Well, but first," Josh said. "I'm not lost, and then, I came here with a purpose."
"I wonder what that may be." She said, relaxed but careful at the same time.
"I was thinking if Tesoro may be interested in buying some Poneglyph from me," Josh said. This way, he may draw Tesoro, who can manipulate gold, to pay him in gold, before stealing every cash he owns. Also, he has to steal his luck.
