Devil Fruit

Blood gushed out of the area where Imai had ripped his heart out from. The same shocked expression was still on his face while his corpse laid still. The victims of Enel's brainwashing had been released.

Nico and Conis had come down to look at the devil fruit that was in Imai's hand.

"Is that Enel's devil fruit?" Conis asked.

"Yes, this was the devil fruit Enel had used to terrorize this country's civilians." Nico said.

"Are you going to eat it?" Conis asked as she turned to Imai.

"Yes, that was our goal in coming here. We killed two birds with one stone, taking his devil fruit, and releasing the brainwashing effect." Imai said.

"Thank you so much!" Conis said with a bow. "Finally, everything will return to normal again."

"Yeah, don't worry about it." Imai said. "Though, I guess it's time for me to eat this."

Imai quickly ate the devil fruit in a few bites, it somewhat gave off a bitter taste. She didn't have any expectations of the taste of a devil fruit anyway. Now, it was time for the changes.

Imai raised her hand in the sky, similar to what Enel did. She focused on lightning striking Enel's corpse.

*RUMBLE*

What was supposed to be a blue lightning strike turned out into a purple lightning strike. The strike was so strong that Enel's corpse had almost turned fully black due to the high voltage and burns of the lightning.

"Purple…lightning?" Nico questioned.

"It must be because of my Conqueror's Haki. Because my will of Conqueror's Haki is purple, it must've combined with the lightning since I commanded it to strike with my will." Imai explained.

Though it was just a theory, it was the most likely explanation of why it was purple. And to confirm that theory, Imai decided to turn one of her limbs into lightning.

*ZZZ*

And there it was, streaks of purple lightning replaced where her arm once was.

"Wow, that's amazing." Conis said in awe.

Nico was happy for Imai, she had obtained what she wanted. But she was also scared of what Imai would become. She was already insanely powerful before, but now that she had obtained one of the devil fruits that allowed someone to become "invincible."

It was scary.

If one day Imai had decided that she wanted to truly destroy the world, then who in the world could really stop her from doing so?

"Nico!" Imai called out, which snapped Nico out of her trance. "What are you thinking so hard about? We got what we came for."

"Sorry, I just zoned out a bit." Nico said.

"Wait…" Conis muttered as all eyes turned to her. "If you ripped that from Enel's heart…doesn't that mean you ate his heart?"

"Yes." Imai replied as if it was normal.

But it was different for Conis, she had a fearful and disgusted look on her face.

"Hmm, I never thought about it that way." Nico said. "But now that I think about it, it seems so. That means I've eaten someone's heart as well. Haha!"

Conis looked between the two figures in front of her.

'Am I the only normal one? They're casually eating someone's heart!'

"Anyway, don't think too much about it." Imai said. "Now let me try something out. Time to have some fun!"

Imai grabbed Conis and Nico into her arms. She transformed her legs into forms of lightning and blasted through the sky.

"LET ME DOWN! I DON'T WANNA FLY WITH YOU!" Conis screamed.

Imai started laughing, "Come on! Haven't you flown before with your wings? You're supposed to be used to it by now!"

Sure Conis had flown with her wings, but flying with her wings did not mean traveling through the sky at an insanely high speed.

"IDIOT! ARE YOU TRYING TO GO INTO THE FUTURE OR PAST WITH THIS SPEED OR SOMETHING?!" Conis yelled in fear.

As for Nico, she was perfectly fine. She had to get used to such things since she was with Imai. They were both not normal and that's probably why they got along.

"Hmm, that sounds fun." Imai said with a smile. "But we'll try that another time, we've arrived!"

Imai dropped Nico and Conis off back at the pumpkin cafe. Conis had to use Nico for balance or else she would've fallen over.

"Imai…" Conis said as she was trying to catch her breath, "Never come back here again. And I mean that!"

Still, Imai still had a playful smile on her face, "Oh come on, don't be like that. You'll only make me want to come more often."

"You!"

"Alright, calm down. No more bickering." Nico said as she placed Conis onto the chair whose face was red with anger.

"I'm going to test some of the abilities out, you can stay here, and calm Conis down." Imai said as she waved goodbye to Conis.

Once Imai was far away enough so that the attacks wouldn't affect them. She had started the tests.

Again, she raised her hand towards the sky, and commanded multiple lightning strikes at will. Dozens of purple lightning came down from the sky and targeted one spot. It became stronger by each strike as powerful winds started to appear.

"I guess that's enough." Imai muttered, "Time to test more things."

She threw her katana in the air and pulled out her hand. If she was correct, the katana would cut off her arm but it would regenerate since her body was lightning. And if she started bleeding, then it is what it is.

Imai watched as the katana slowly came down and cut off a part of her arm. Instead of blood and bones, there were only streaks of lightning before her entire arm reappeared.

She smiled at the sight. That meant only haki based attacks or devil fruit abilities could actually damage her. Nothing else would be able to touch her.

"One more thing."

*ZZZZ*

A long streak of purple lightning zipped through the air at an insanely high speed. That was Imai, she had successfully turned her entire body into a streak of lightning. She returned to her original spot and turned back into her human body.

"With this ability, the balance of power will truly change."

Saying this, Imai had a scary smile on her face, and her eyes were swirling with darkness in them.

"Who will stop me?"
