Meeting the red haired pirates

Shanks p.o.v

I was getting off the ship as villagers stared at us i expected them to be in fear but they didn't show any fear towards us. A man who i assumed was the town mayor came up to us and asked what was our purpose on the island.

I told him me and my crew were not looking to cause trouble and were just looking for a place to stay for awile.He said aslongs as we didn't bother the villagers or cause trouble we could stay as long as we liked.I agreed to his terms and looked for a place me and my crew could go to drink alchohol.

I found a place that was run by a nice young lady with green hair, the alcohol there was pretty good and she didn't seem to mind the fact that we were pirates.

As i was talking with my crewmates i saw a small boy walking into the bar he had black hair and was wearing a white tshirt he had a monkey on his shoulder.

What surprised me about the boy was that he had a long sword strapped towards his back the sword gave an aura of pure power and was definitely a grade sword but why would a child be carrying such a sword.

The boy sat on a stool next to me seeing this i asked him his name he responded that his name was luffy.

The mayor me and the boy talked the more i felt he was no ordinary child as he acted mayore mature than any child his age i had seen.

The monkey on the boys shoulder also didnt seem like a normal pet it just had this aura around it. I asked luffy if the monkey had a name he told me his name was kumi.

The boy asked me what it was like to be a pirate and what were some of my adventures. i told him about some adventures of me and my crew and he paid attention to every word i said by the time i was finished i saw the boy proccessing what i had just said to him.

After awhile of talking to the boy i couldn't help but asked where did he find that sword.He responded nonchalantly and told me his grandpa gave it to him for his birthday.

I was shocked what kind of person would give a child a sword for their birthday a graded one muchless. I asked the boy who his grandpa was, asi was curious who would give a child such as sword.

The child told me his grandpa was monkey d garp i was shocked it took me awile to regain my composure.

It all makes sense why the villagers were not scared of me and why this boy had a graded blade as garp didn't care weapons as he mainly used his fist and saw no value in using a sword maje sense he'd give it away.

I asked luff if he wanted to be a marine when he grew up. He said that life was not for him as he wanted to travel the sea and have adventures.He also said he didn't want to be constrained by being a marine and have to listen to orders all day.

The more i talked to the boy the more intresting he had gotten but i couldn't help but wonder who luffy's parents were.

Third person p.o.v

Luffy interacted with red haired pirates in joking around with them even meeting ussops father yassop who told him the stories he had of ussop.

Luffy asked yassob why doesn't he visit ussop and his wife.Yassop told luffy that he couldn't bear the thought of facing them knowing he had abandoned them.

Luffy kept talking to the red haired pirates as the bar doors flung open in walk a man and a few men behind him.
