Chapter 128: Weak

Kizaru battles his fellow Admiral by using his full power, not taking chances in case I noticed something as the minutes passed. 

But it was amusing seeing them fight. The poison had fully been exterminated from my body and I even made sure that there wasn't a second component to the poison. 

After all, the World Government had Vegapunk, I wasn't underestimating that man no matter what. He was just too dangerous to do that. Still though, after a dozen or so times of checking and making sure, I breathed a sigh of relief. Just in case, I would have Reiju check me over once again for any poisons.

As time passed, Kizaru and fujitora had injured each other quite a bit, though the one who was injured more ended up being Kizaru as the man was completely countered and was forced to fight with just swordsmanship. The Light fruit was essentially useless against Fujitora and sometimes would even lead it to become detrimental to Kizaru. 

"Are you two done?" I asked them, a small smirk adorning my face as Kizaru looked at me and his eyes widened. Finally, he had realized that something was wrong here, the poison still hadn't taken effect. By now I should have noticed it naturally and panicked.

Kizaru forms a long, very sharp, and durable sword out of light and solidifies it.

He charged at me, confusing Fujitora. But I was already one step ahead of Kizaru and punched towards the light sword in my Awakened Form. 

Clang!

In one punch, my Haki infiltrated the sword and broke it. Clenching my fist, I planted a punch into some droplets of light as Kizaru tried to escape. His body formed mid-air and I had hit him straight in the stomach. 

He coughed out a mouthful of blood, he tried to jump back, but it was already too late as I chased after him. Clutching at his stomach painfully, Kizaru by now was heavily injured and the cuts from fujitora had added up too.

Fwish!

Within an instant, I moved to a random place and Kizaru's figure slowly materialized there. Future Sight was working at its highest power and I was even seeing up to 17 seconds ahead of time. Every move he made was within my grasp and his fate had been decided already.

I gathered my Quake power in my hand, and after infusing it with Armament Haki I punched down as hard as I could. 

BOOOOOM!!!

Space shattered like glass and Kizaru's body twisted strangely, and unnaturally as while my punch didn't even touch him my attack did. It was devastating as tsunamis rose and the submarine underwater was destroyed by the aftershock of my attack.

Kizaru was already dead and Fujitora's eyes widened, he changed gravity's direction to push us both away and widen the distance between us. But it was futile, as my body morphed into my bear form and my hand enlarged. I pointed my palm at the fleeing Fujitora.

Darkness gathered in my hand and it slowly formed a giant dark whirlpool.

<Dark Hole>

Fujitora's body was unnaturally dragged towards me even though he tried to use his power to push himself away. Gravity had nothing on the suction power of the Dark-Dark Fruit.

"Are you sure this is what you want to do, young man?" asked Fujitora, after he saw that there was no way to stop himself from coming toward me. "Your path is one of damnation, I have seen what you do to others and how you treat them."

"I was taught to think before I act. So if I kill you, rest assured I've thought about it and am confident in my decision." I said to him coldly, not leaving any room for refusal. Suddenly I sensed gravity being used on the submarine that I Had destroyed underwater and hundreds of its missiles had their gravity changed and they would hit me. This time I saw clearly in my Future Sight that I would die from the acidic poison in the missiles.

Now there were two choices in front of me, kill Fujitora and try to dodge the missiles, which would be hard, but not impossible. Or I jump back, abandon killing Fujitora, but that would also leave him with many poison missiles to manipulate with his gravity. So if he decided to do a suicide attack, I would die.

Heh, the tables were turned within a split second. Fujitora wasn't an Admiral for nothing and his mid-fight decision was top notch. I couldn't have done any better in his place, this was a checkmate from him, no matter whether I choose option A or B, it would end up in my death.

In the end, I charged at Fujitora and my clawed hand pierced straight through him. The man still held a smile on his face as he muttered. "It's your loss, Bear D Max."

He touched my chest and with his dying breath, Fujitora had made me the center of gravity for the rockets. His dead body slumped towards the sea, and as expected, even after death, he was a pain in the arse.

Hundreds of acidic poison rockets burst out of the sea and immediately came towards me. Even though there were no flames to boost them toward me, the power of gravity did so and their speed was outrageously fast. 

My eyes shone red for a split second as I gazed into the future.

"Old man, I choose option C, you die and I live." Gathering some heat in my body I used the Oven-Oven Fruit. My body temperature became so hot that even if steel came in contact with it would melt.

I then created a ball of flames around me by using the Flame-Flame Fruit. My skin hardened into diamond and a wall of molten candy formed a cocoon around my body. Though I could no longer see, I still sensed what was happening outside.

BOOOOM!!

As the rockets exploded, unexpectedly every one of my defenses was blown off as the hundred of rockets got through them all and the left side of my body burned off, leaving me poisoned, after which… I die.

That was the future I saw because the missiles were made to be unassuming and looked normal. Their damage was unimaginable. I would die if I took them head one and tried to defend myself. Running away was an option, but the missiles would chase, and eventually, I would get tired. From what I saw the explosion range was quite big so even if I used some obstacle to stop them, I would get affected.

With that in mind, I jumped towards the water and as soon as my body touched the ocean I got weaker. But I wasn't afraid at all as the water wasn't a weakness no loner, that was why I dared to fight Fujitora here in a place where he could sink me.

Coldness burst out of my body, and within an instant, all of the sea around me within a wide radius froze.

<Ice Age>

The Ice-Ice Fruit had eliminated my weakness of water. 

I used the Swim-Swim fruit that I got from Senior Pink and started swimming through the ice as if it was water and since I was still in my awakened firm, my swimming speed was quite fast.

I went so deep that I touched the bottom of the ocean, but then I went even deeper and started swimming underground. Down there, in the darkness, I waited for a couple of minutes and swam away once more, this time as far as I could from the explosion zone just in case it created a poison radius.

Well, Future Sight saved my life there, today would have been my funeral if I didn't have it. I think that the best decision I ever made was to not go around telling everyone that I had it.

Now both Kizaru and fujitora are dead. It was time I started attacking the World Government, but today showed me that I needed to also get my hands in a couple of life-saving Devil Fruits… this was harder than expected. 

But I had to make it work somehow.
