Chapter 35 Give This Shichibukai A Little Surprise

Carlos didn't say a word, only sneered slightly.

It had taken nearly half an hour to walk from the port to the city center, and not a single member of the Donquixote family had shown up.

How could they trade with such an attitude from the other side?

Instead of getting angry, Carlos found the situation amusing.

As a time traveler, he knew exactly what Doflamingo was like. This guy, relying on his former status as a Celestial Dragon, played both sides of the law. He didn't even respect the Marines, so his arrogance was expected.

Too bad he picked the wrong opponent today.

"This distance should be just right," Carlos muttered to himself. "Let's give this Shichibukai a taste of power."

He suddenly stopped and looked up at the distant palace.

When the men around him saw Carlos draw the sword from his waist, preparing to strike, they exchanged puzzled glances and muttered in disbelief.

"Is Lord Carlos serious?"

"No way! From this far?"

"It's always thrilling to see a great swordsman in action…"

Carlos ignored the chatter, his eyes sharpening with focus.

Boom!

The flames of Amaterasu and Armament Haki swirled around his sword like a gathering storm.

In the next moment, a black slash, as dark as ink, erupted from his blade. The black flame slash, stretching hundreds of meters, roared toward the distant palace.

A sharp, piercing sonic boom accompanied the attack as the blazing black flames ignited over Dressrosa!

Meanwhile, in the distance, a dull rumble resonated around the palace. The ground trembled violently, and the shaking intensified.

It was as if something massive was about to burst from beneath the earth.

Countless spiderweb-like cracks appeared on the road, and houses began to collapse one after another.

"Damn it! What's happening?"

"An earthquake?"

Panic-stricken pedestrians fled in all directions, and Dressrosa was thrown into chaos.

Boom!

The earth heaved upward as tens of millions of tons of rock and soil gathered together. Within moments, they formed into a colossal rock giant, thousands of meters high!

A shadow loomed over the land, like a walking mountain. Each step the giant took sent violent tremors through the ground.

In the next instant, Carlos's black flame slash swept through the air, slicing the giant with ease. The massive rock titan howled in agony, then crumbled into countless burning fragments that rained down from the sky.

Yet, the slash continued its relentless path toward the palace!

At the windowsill, Doflamingo was horrified as he witnessed the devastation.

He screamed and dug his hands into the ground. A strange energy rippled outward, transforming the ceiling, walls, and floor around him into transparent white threads.

The entire palace twisted and contorted, turning into a "white ocean" of threads!

The threads gathered into a massive wave, hundreds of meters high, and surged forward to meet the terrifying slash.

But Doflamingo wasn't taking any chances. He unleashed his full strength, activating his Devil Fruit ability to its maximum.

"Hollow Bullet: God's Killing!"

With a roar, billions of transparent white threads surged out from the "white ocean" and twisted together. Sixteen colossal white spikes, hundreds of meters high, formed in an instant, all coated in dark Armament Haki.

They hurtled toward Carlos's fearsome slash!

Doflamingo gritted his teeth, veins bulging from his forehead. The pressure he was under was unimaginable!

Billions of transparent silk threads churned forward like a raging white tide. After what felt like an eternity, the terrifying slash finally dissipated, its power spent.

But the black flames continued to spread like a relentless plague!

"Ugh!"

Doflamingo winced as a trickle of blood seeped from the corner of his mouth. He stared in terror at the man standing thousands of meters away.

"Damn it! It's him! Carlos!"

He hadn't forgotten how this man had caused havoc in his territory before, looting countless auction items and offending numerous powerful figures in the process.

The losses he'd suffered couldn't be measured in money alone!

As he remembered, the veins on Doflamingo's forehead throbbed with fury. Anger boiled within his chest.

He made a peculiar hand gesture.

"Wait! Doffy!" Torebol quickly intervened. "If you activate the Birdcage now, the situation will spiral out of control!"

"If we go to war with the Beasts Pirates, the consequences will be beyond our control!"

"Calm down! Let's see what they want first."

After some persuasion, Doflamingo slowly regained his composure. After a brief internal struggle, he pulled out a Den Den Mushi.

"Sengoku! It's Doflamingo! The Beasts Pirates are attacking Dressrosa! Send Marine support immediately!"

"What? Marines can't enter the New World without orders from the World Government?"

"I'm a Shichibukai! I'm on the same side as the Marines!"

"Damn it!"

Doflamingo cursed loudly and slammed the Den Den Mushi to the ground.

He looked at the approaching Beasts Pirates and his expression darkened.

"No other choice…"

He picked up the Den Den Mushi again.

"Lord Saint Rosward, the Beasts Pirates are attacking my territory. Please send Marine support immediately…"

A calm voice replied, "Remember, the World Government granted you the title of Shichibukai to help us deal with pirates, not to cause us trouble."

"We overlooked your theft of the heavenly tribute and your occupation of Dressrosa, but now you're asking for our help? Are you serious?"

"We haven't received any reports of Kaido's involvement. If you can't handle this, you're not fit to be a Shichibukai."

"Take care of it yourself."

"Wait! This—"

Before Doflamingo could finish, the line went dead.

"Damn it!"

In the town center, Carlos and his tens of thousands of men had taken over the city's central square.

At the end of the street, Doflamingo slowly appeared, his face dark and stormy. Behind him were the Donquixote family's top officers.

Carlos sneered.

"Heavenly Yaksha Doflamingo, do you know your sins?"

Doflamingo's face flushed with rage and frustration. He gritted his teeth and spat, "Bastard! What the hell are you talking about?!"

It was obvious that the Beasts Pirates had attacked them without provocation, yet Carlos acted as if they were the victims!

It had just been confirmed that Pica had perished in the inextinguishable black flames. And now, Carlos had the nerve to accuse them? What a joke!

Doflamingo took a deep breath.

"Let me remind you, I'm a former Celestial Dragon. I suggest you don't push your luck. If you do—"

Before he could finish, Carlos unsheathed his sword again and pointed it directly at him.

Doflamingo felt a chill run down his spine. He instinctively took a few steps back, closing his mouth tightly.
