Chapter 4. Water-7

Opening his eyes, Kai immediately rushes to the river and finds something to eat. Today would be the first day of his big adventure, he will set sail and live life as he wants. Being too immersed in his own thoughts, he scarfs down his food without knowing nor caring. Looking towards his raft and spare food, he knew what he had to do.

Taking his raft and food to the sea, he had finally calmed down. A man that doesn't stay calm in difficult and strange situations, does not deserve the epithet of a man. This is what he lived by.

Throwing his raft on the sea, and jumping on it. He started to use his tentacles to sail towards any sort of island that he could find. Not finding any for what seemed like an eternity, he finally decided to ask the system.

"System, I am lost as you can tell. If you know, please do tell me where I am."

[Location... Found. Currently in the region 'Paradise.' Well known for being the first half of the grand line, and paradise compared to the second. You are extremely lucky due to not being in any violent weather. The closest island is Water 7, well known for its shipwrights. The System will now give directions to the host on how to get to the closest island.]

Ah. He is in the grand line. What the hell is his luck, no violent weather occurring in this crazy place? Maybe it is because his devil fruit has minor control over what causes the hellish conditions? Questioning his luck, he made his way to Water 7. He was not too surprised seeing the tons of pirates here due to its reputation.

Walking to the closest shop, he heard whispers. Whispers that made him really rethink how lucky he is.

"Did you see the Rocks pirates are here?"

"Their captain looks super strong."

"The captain and his crew have a huge bounty!"

"Even the marines are scared of that Captain."

The whispers about Xebec really made Kai question his luck. What the fuck? A blessing from God, a strong as fuck devil fruit, and now he gets a 1/10000 chance of meeting who he wanted? What else could he want more?

Walking to the nearest shop, he noticed a buff man with messy long and messy red hair. He had an intimidating face with a big grin. He immediately whipped his head to Kai, as if sensing him.

'What am I saying? He definitely sensed me with his observation haki. A monster that took the future Pirate King and one of the Marines Strongest in his prime age to defeat him definitely can sense me.' Kai thought, not noticing an even bigger grin growing on Xebec's face.

Xebec walked towards Kai, and Kai beneath his calm demeanor was scared. Was Xebec going to fight and kill him? Was Xebec going to get mad at Kai staring at him?

"Brat, I can tell just by looking at you.

You ate a fruit, didn't you? And a pretty strong one at that.

But a strong fruit without a strong owner is nothing but trash. You should join my crew. It would make you stronger than you already are, and I can tell you have unlocked haki too. Judging by your aura, I would guess not conqueror, but observation and armament."

Kai immediately calmed himself, knowing that the goliath of a man in front of him wasn't going to kill him. Looking up at Xebec, Kai said,

"I don't even know who you are old man, and how would I know what your words are true?" Kai said. He agreed with Xebec's point though, a strong devil fruit is nothing without a strong user.

"RAHAHAHA. I am Rocks D. Xebec. Captain of the Rocks pirates, and the future King of The New World. You probably heard the whispers right? Even the marines are scared of me and my crew, so I can guarantee you will be nice and strong." Xebec responded immediately.

After faking to be thinking for a bit, Kai said "Alright old man, I will join you if you do what you say. I am Aqeueuos D. Kai. Call me Kai"

"RAHAHAHA, alright. After I get our Log Pose for our new ship, I'll show you to the rest of my crew. Hopefully, this new ship we got can withstand the spars because one of my members will definitely want to fight you RAHAHAHA." Xebec said, which made Kai shiver. All of the people on his ship were monsters, Kai knew that. Having a ship filled with people who would eventually take 3 out of the 4 Yonko was definitely insane.

"Alright brat, we got the log pose. Let's get out of this shit hole, I can't stand all these people's whispering about me RAHAHAHA." Kai thought that was a weird thing to bring up, but ok.

(Time Skip)

Arriving on the ship, it had a strange vibe to it. Almost eerie and creepy, except lively at the same time. Maybe due to the overwhelming strength that was on the ship.

"ALRIGHT, EVERYONE!" Xebec yelled, catching the attention of most of the people on the ship. "WE HAVE A NEW CREWMATE WHO WILL GROW TO BE STRONG. HIS NAME IS KAI! GO BACK TO WHAT YOU'RE DOING NOW." As soon as he said that, a giant that had the looks of a 14-year-old despite his height, a man taller than the giant, and a young-looking girl showed up, while Xebec immediately left.

"WORORO! Spar with me new guy, WORORO!" The giant said, who immediately after got a punch in the [no-no place] from the young-looking girl.

"Hey, at least introduce yourself first! I am Shakuyaku, call me Shakky. This battle maniac's name is Kaido." Shakky said, which got a nod from Kai. He already guessed the names of the two, but the last unintroduced guy was strange. He also pitied Kaido, who was on the ground cupping 'that' place and groaning in pain.

"I am Edward Newgate. Called me Newgate if you want." Holy shit. This guy is the future 'Whitebear?' and strongest man in the world? He doesn't even have a white beard! I guess that's what age does to you.

Looking at the 3 of them, he was a little confused on why Big Mom wasn't here. She probably joined at a later date maybe.

"How old are you, Kai!" Kaido asked, standing up.

"15. What about you?"

"14. WORORO someone who can fight me at the same age as me. You probably can't even match with me though." Kaido said in a sad tone, which made Kai grin wildly. Shakky looked ready to punch Kaido again, but when she saw Kai's smile she stopped.

"You want to bet on that, kid?" Kai asked, which made them both look at each other. You can almost see sparks flying around them while they were glaring at each other.

"Oy brats, don't spar here. Go down inside and fight!" Yelled Xebec from literally nowhere.

And with that, Kai's adventure with the Rocks pirates and the future strongest alive beings began.
