Ain and Hina

Luffy was slowly walking back to his ship. In two years, the original story would start. He would obviously change most of the things, he didn't want to follow the canon. He would take advantage of his knowledge and gather a strong crew. He worked every day since he arrived in this world and he acquired a strength now that washed away most of his sorrows.

Luffy obviously neglected his strongest ability: his Pokemon. Gible was an exception because he trained with him from the first day, but he didn't have much focus on all his other Pokemon. The reason was simple.

He wanted to make him so strong that he wouldn't be a weakness.

For Luffy was clear that his Pokemon were the most powerful thing he could use. These guys defied common sense in this world, but he saw his team and himself as a chess game.

He was the king in this game and his Pokemon the other figures. He didn't want to be a weak king that needed protection from his Pokemon. He wanted to have the strength of a queen, and he achieved this point finally. Now he can focus on the strength of his Pokemon.

From now on he would mainly use his Pokemon to fight the opponents while he would train his Haki further, but the focus will still be on his Pokemon and of course, his crew.

First, he was tempted to eat a devil fruit, he even wanted to try to give his Pokemon one. At this point in time, the only thing he saw in devil fruits was a big weakness. It didn't mean that he would never eat one, but the fruit had to have an ability that would give him no other choice. Even the Yami Yami no Mi wouldn't tempt him to eat a devil fruit. The reason was simple. It would reduce his endurance tremendously and would be weak to water. His physical power was astonishing and his strongest point, and with Garp's teachings he had new offensive abilities that would blast everything apart.

And that didn't include his Pokemon that could summon lightning and earthquakes when they were strong enough.

While he walked he saw something that surprised him. On top of a tree was a fruit, a devil fruit to be precise. Luffy took out his Pokédex and scanned the fruit.

It was the Numa Numa no Mi. The fruit this pirate used that he killed a couple of minutes ago. This gave Luffy an idea.

If a Devil Fruit user was killed, the fruit would appear again in a normal fruit that had the same type as the devil fruit. So a devil fruit that was shaped like an apple would appear in the nearest apple from the point the previous devil fruit user died.

He looked towards his Pokedex and couldn't help but smile. He had to test something out in the future.

He picked the Devil Fruit and put it into his bag. He didn't like the swamp fruit, but it was a Logia and maybe it had more potential than Caribou showed.

He arrived at the ship where Hina and Ain were waiting for him.

"So you were successful with defeating those guys", Luffy said and the girls nodded their head.

There was a moment of silence. The ship began to return to the island where they trained the whole year. The three of them knew that after that they would separate.

"Why don't you return with us to the marine headquarter? With your abilities, you would be promoted to vice-admiral without doing anything. Who knows, you could be the youngest admiral in the history of the marines. Hina doesn't understand."

Ain nodded towards Hina's opinion. Both of them knew that Luffy wanted to go on an adventure to see the world and become the very best. They didn't understand what he meant by that.

"The marines have many good people in their ranks. But there are even more annoying guys."

Hina and Ain felt a little bit offended by that sentence. The problem was they couldn't deny it.

"My old man told me about your story, Ain. It is very hard to see all of your fellow marine dies, and it is a good thing that you work hard so such a thing could never happen again. The problem is when things are getting too extreme. I see in your eyes that you wish to kill every living pirate in the world. What would you do if the marines did the same thing to you in the future? Will you kill them all, too? You have to kill every human being in this world if you want to stop such things to happen. You have to become clear again. You are clouded by your hate."

Ain started to look away. Pictures of the past event surfacing in her head. She knew she was blinded by hate, that was one of the reasons why her sensei wanted that she would follow Garp in this year. Zephyr wanted her to make new friends, her personality was too serious.

"You know, I said to you two back then that you were too naive. That was the reason why I asked you two to come with me on an adventure to see the world. The problem most of the marines have is that they see the world in black and white. In good and bad. But the world is never so simple. Especially humans are never this simple. There is no completely good human being and no one is completely bad. You have to make your own judgment before you join a faction. Especially such an extreme one like the marines."

Luffy decided that it was time to bring a little bit of brain into the heads of those girls. Especially Ain.

"I will give you an example. I have plenty of them, and I never left the East Blue until now. Who knows how many more I can give you after I traveled the world?"

Luffy took a deep breath and looked towards the marines, a smile on his face.

"I think you have heard of Whitebeard. In the eyes of a marine, he is a cruel criminal. The worst person there ever was, right next to the pirate king himself. But you have to judge a person by his actions, not by his reputation. Fish-Man Island is protected by this cruel person. Did you ever go to Fish-Man Island? Did you see the tyranny he displayed on its citizens? No. In reality, it is a beautiful island and no one lives in fear of this cruel pirate."

They both contemplated about his words. Ain had many problems with that, the word 'justice' always surfacing in her mind. But she decided to hear his next words.

"Well, but now you have to look at the consequences of Whitebeards action. Fish-Man Island had a huge problem and that was slavery. Mermaids, especially the female ones, were hunted down and are one of the biggest treasures for nobles, especially the Celestial Dragons. Those guys that command the marines, and in the end even you two. After Whitebeard took Fish-Man Island under his protection, no one dared to make trouble for them. And slavery was reduced by a huge degree."

Both of the girls couldn't help but contemplate about this. This was just facts they couldn't deny.

"If you stop seeing the world in factions, in pirates and marines, then this story will take another color. Just think about it. If Whitebeard wasn't a pirate, just a really strong guy that protected Fish-Man Island, then wouldn't it seem as if the nobles and the marines were the bad guys in this tale? But it isn't viewed that way, because Whitebeard is a pirate. And pirates are always evil, so Whitebeard is always wrong. Even you two believed it, it is so twisted, I can't understand how you guys see the world."

Both of them became embarrassed. With the words of the young teenager, they were starting to question their own beliefs.

"Of course, not every pirate is a hero. Most of them are evil bastards, so not everything the marine does is meaningless. The biggest question is why are there so many pirates in the first place. And the answer is simple. The age of pirates is a revolution in itself because people want to be free from this crazy organization that is called the World Government. These guys are just too crazy and because of them, too many islands are in chaos. If this world had a functioning government where people had a good environment and potential to achieve something, they would never be so many pirates on the sea. "

"So do you want to become a pirate?", asked Ain with narrowed eyes.

"You are so stupid, girl. Why do I make this whole speech? I try to tell you that I don't want to be put into a group and be judged with everyone in the same group. I just want to be free, learn about the world, and have an exciting adventure. Do I have to be a pirate for that?"

Ain shook her head.

"Did you hear about Ohara?", asked Luffy to the two girls.

"The Island that was exterminated because of their crimes?"

"Well, if you call the research of history a crime that was so heinous to destroy a whole island, not even sparring little children, then you should question your sense of justice, girl. They were a bunch of scholars who wanted to learn about our past, guys who deserved our respect. But they were bombed away, with only a little girl that escaped that disaster. Their fault? They could read some old stone tablets. The world government, the guys who command you two, feared that some dirty secrets would be discovered by that. The little girl that escaped had a bounty of 79.000.000 Belly and was chased by the whole world. The only 'fault' of this girl was, that she could read some old language. Damn it, this whole conversation is so stupid, if you didn't understand my message by this point, you should question your intelligence."

He looked towards the sea with a thoughtful expression.

"In two years, I will start my journey. If you want to join me, then meet me in Foosha Village in two years from now. Judge about this world with your own eyes, and then you can decide what goals you two want to achieve. Of course, it's your decision."

He sighed out.

"Just remember, in life, nothing is ever good or bad."
