Chapter 42 Watch your back

         All through the drive home I was thinking how things has taken turns in my life. Last week by this time,I was occupied with how to get laid and now that I have gotten laid,I thought maybe I will go back to my normal life. But I don't see that happening soon.

      I have really not thought about Chris and how he felt when he woke up and did not see me. The memories of that night came flooding and I smiled, maybe when things normalized, I might have another one night or maybe if our paths cross again,I will make it up to him. But for now,let me focus on the matter at hand.

 The cab stopped at my drive way and I got down and paid him and he zoomed off. I heaved a sigh and walking to my door and was about opening my door when my neighbor, Oliver walked up to me.

   "Hi Oliver"

I greeted her and she smiled

"Hi Gina,it's been long since I saw you last. Did you travel?"

"No I did not"

I told her.

"Ok,some guy came looking for you"

When she said that my heart skip one or two

"Who?"

I managed to asked

"I don't know,he did not leave a name only that he is tall and handsome and has a Jade hair color"

      She said and I instantly knew who she is taking about,who else if not chris. How did he know where I live?. I thanked Oliver and she left . I opened my door and went in,I am in for trouble.

        The place stayed as I left it, was I expecting a ransack operation in my house or what?. Stupid mind.

    I removed my shoes and called Mom and told her that I have gotten home. She acknowledge and I hung the call. I went to my kitchen to take a glass of water and I saw a  written note on top of my mini fridge. I picked it up and it read

"Watch your back"

   "Watch my back huh?"

I could not help asking,who could have drop this here,it's only Nora that has the spare key. I checked to see if anything is out of place but there was none.

      I poured a glass of water and gulped it down then I left the kitchen to the living room to get my purse. I picked my purse and went in to the bedroom.

      I don't think I will be having dinner tonight,I really want to do some research to see if I can find more concerning the history of the south.

    I got to my bedroom and changed my dress to a leggings and a tank top. It's still early for bed,this is 17:00. I made my self comfortable on the bed using a pillow to support my back. I got my tablet and on it,when it finished booting, I went to Google and typed *THE SOUTH* and a whole lot popped up.

     I scrolled down and I saw a heading* THEN AND NOW:WHAT COULD HAVE HAPPENED*

Curiosity got the better of me and I clicked on it.

"wholala Holly Molly!"

I exclaimed when I saw the bulk of informations there.

        A whole packed history. Well there was nothing new,it was something I am already aware of and seeing it on the internet made it more real. I continued reading, grasping informations and looking for anything that will be extra knew but I found none. I made notes of things, surfed some more and closed the site I entered

    Checked my time and it was close to bed time. Well I decided to sleep early since I have nothing else to do.

I put the tablet off and grabbed my towel and went into the bathroom to take a shower. I finished and dressed in my pjymas and went to bed hoping for some sort of light. I hope I find one because I am in desperate need of it.
