Chapter 351 It Will Be Someday

 Ben's point of view…..

We have been swimming for about some time now and I felt it was okay. Nora was quite a good swimmer and I am impressed by her acrobatic skills. 

 "We had enough!"

I yelled and she laughed heartily.

"I thought as much"

She chuckled and swam towards me.

  "Left for me I would have said let's swim throughout the rest of the today but we got a lot of things to do like gracing my neighbour's birthday dinner party"

   "No doubt about that because I can tell you don't want to get out of the water but like you rightly said, we have got a lot but what and what again?"

   I questioned, if she has other plans then I am not aware, I only know of tonight.

  "Well, you forgot that both of us would go to the party. To me it's quite a lot because we have got to leave here, prepare then take ourselves to the party. That's a lot, isn't it"

She replied, frowning.

  "Ooooh I know but is that what you refer to as a lot?"

She eyed me and stuck her tongue at me and I chuckled then scooped her up and we left the pool while she circled her arms around my neck.

  We got to the room and I made her stand on her own then grabbed a towel and dried her body.

  I went over to the closet and picked a plan dinner gown for her that has a silver chain arong it's waistline.

  Nora gasped and ran to me and took the gown from my grip.

"You did not tell me you run a boutique here as well. The dress is beautiful"

I laughed, she was really exaggerating.

  "Nora, I stocked the closet with clothes of your size and mine. It's like I'm gradually making this place our home because I want us to live here away from the world. It's my dream someday,It might not be now but it will be someday."

"Awwwn that's so sweet you know. I would love it here. With our kids running around and it's just you, I and then with nothing else"

She said dreamy. I quite share that dream of hers and I know it's what we both want and I will make it happen. It's not that here is far from civilization but it will serve the purpose we both want.

  While she dressed up, I got a grey t-shirt together with shorts and put it on. I will leave our clothes behind, I will be back later for it.

  "Let's go then"

"What about my car?"

She asked with creased brows.

  "I will come get it, tomorrow or next."

"Let's go then"

Few minutes, we left the glass house and the car was cruising on the highway. It is busier than before. I guess it's because it's lunch hour.

  I did not plan to take Nora home. I had other plans in mind and when I did not take our way home. She bombed me with questions.

 "Ben, where are we going? I hope this is not another surprise for me because you have been surprising me today, tell me I don't want to be in suspense, just tell me where are we going to, please"

   I had to roll my eyes and huffed inside of me. When she is like this,it's quite annoying and cute. I love her childish side but she is not soft like she presents herself. She is a tough lady and you, if you don't know her, you would think she wouldn't take what she has been taking for years.

  " Darling,you don't need to worry, it's not another surprise. I am taking you out for lunch."

"Okay"

She said like she is fighting with the "okay" and sank deeper into her seat. I paid deaf eyes to her sulking and focused on the road. We might not be prone to death but some people are and I don't want to get them killed.

  For the next couple of minutes we are not talking, I did not bother to initiate a conversation because I thought maybe we should be quiet for once. I got to the road leading the restaurant and took a u-turn.

   Nora sat up when she saw the signpost and curved her mouth like letter "O"

  "Where is this place?"

I ignored her and drove inside restaurant and killed the engine. Before I could say hey, Nora was out of the car. Typical of her anyway. Little things catches her fancy and I love her for that,in fact I love her for everything.
