Chapter 256 Vice Versa

It was late evening and everyone was gathered in the large living room. The party was over long ago and the celebrant has missed his party which he seems not to mind as far as he has got the one he loves.
Nora was so shocked to discover that the guy who had given her a lift twice and had invited her over to his house to meet his son was no other person than Ben's father and her sis husband and he is to be a family from now on.
Xylie on his own part could not believe he missed the drama,he got carried away dancing with Rory and he did not get to know what happened until it was almost over,like he was the last person to know about it.
Rosie has gone missing after confronting Gina and has appeared later to see the shock of her life. Her engagement with Benjamin was over before she could say hey and the people she had taken as family did not dim it fit to consider her feelings before calling the engagement to quit. She has left in her own tears with shame and grief written all over her face. It was the worst time for all of them, seeing her cry was not what they ever wanted to see but what could have been done when nature had decided against her fate.
She was simply involved with the wrong person and Mr Frank has prayed for her telling her that her Mr Right would come soon. If only they know they have done the unspeakable but what can Rosie do?,she is just a loner who thought she has found love yet wants to still spread her wings and get full time what life has taken from her.
The large living room was lit and after the shock and realisation,it was time for them to celebrate within themselves. Ben might have missed his party that does not mean he was not getting a celebration at all.
Gina who has been quiet the whole evening has been minding her business not contributing to anything said and it was unusual of her. She was happy for her best friend but something else was bothering her. Xylie who seems to notice for the fifth time decides to go find out what's up with her.
He pulled himself down beside her and circled his arms around her shoulders.
"Someone has been in a deep thought the whole evening,what's going on in your mind sis?"
Gina knows too well not to tell him she is okay so decided to share her fears with him.
"Something about Rosie does not seem right. She behaves as if she is possessed"
She said looking more worried, Xylie sighed and looked up at her.
"Don't work yourself over nothing,you are probably feeling guilty for her. She will be alright, she is my neighbour. She is going to be alright,I can assure you that"
He replied and smiled. Xylie too knows that Gina is right because he too has noticed that Rosie does not behave right. The way she has reacted about Nora in the afternoon has said it all. He has his eyes on her and no matter what, he is going to protect everyone dear to him,he did it before,he will surely do it again.
"Thanks big bro,I have overstayed her. Can't wait for the party to begin so that it will end then I will be able to go back to South. My baby has been stressed today"
She said rubbing her stomach proudly and Xylie could not help but to laugh.
Nora skipped happily to where Xylie and Gina sat talking and plugged herself down between both of them.
She looked from Xylie to Gina then laughed heartily. Gina was not surprised neither was Xylie,they all know where her source of happiness is coming from, she has found her mate and it's radiating all over her. The life that seems to be far from her this morning was back full force. She is more life than life itself.
"I can't thank you both enough, can't wait to share the goodness with Tiana"
She said, palming her face.
"Sure,you will be glad. We are all happy for you,I did not know that things would turn out to be like this. I am glad I got that bracelet for you"
Gina said and smiled at her.
"Imagine having known this person without knowing that he was actually the one. We keep saying that when it comes to destiny,we don't have a say in it. Nature always play us"
He said, sighing, Gina and Nora knew that there was truth in what Xylie said. If not,they would have chosen their own destinies. But the important thing is that,what is deserving is given to whom it should be given to. Life plays and in turn we play life,it's just the vice versa.
Gradually,they all gathered to say prayers and to drink to happiness, for the happiness they have today might not be there tomorrow so there is a need to pledge for more happiness. In all their faces,the hope and joy each and everyone of them felt was evident and they can only pray that days,months and years to come,comes with no stress because every one of them has gone through a lot.
