Chapter 241 Ben's Lost Bracelet

Nora's point of view….

   I could not believe the fact that Ben has to be my nephew for heaven's sake. I almost committed an abomination. I looked at Ben as he sat like a king out of his throne. I just want to tell him that he is not the only one feeling the way he is feeling. I thought knowing that he is my nephew,every feeling I have for him will vanish but the reverse is the case. It's like my feeling for him was enkindled.

   What am I saying?,loving my nephew?. Oh hell no! who does that?.

    Drowning in my own tears with Gina comforting me,Ben stood up and was about to leave the sitting room when he turned and walked to me. He bent and examined my wrist, I tried pulling away but he held my wrist tighter. I was confused as to why he had to be examining the bracelet.

   He stared at it and looked at Sharon with creased brows. The question that came out of his mouth shocked me. I wondered how a bracelet Gina got for me would be his lost bracelet.

    Is there more to this or what but I don't see a possibility that the bracelet belongs to him,if yes what is it doing in the South for Gina to be able to purchase it. Naw,like Sharon said,I think it's a coincidence.

    He insisted that the bracelet belongs to him but Sharon urged him to let go that the bracelet is truly not his. He had said okay and stood up to leave,he took a step but halted, he made to come to where I am but left almost immediately.

    I wiped my tears and stared at the bracelet, could there be a connection between Ben and the bracelet?. I sigh and shake off the thought.

    Ben walked out the big sitting room with a sad look,I felt the need to follow him. I looked down on my wrist again to see the bracelet blinking and heating up at the same time. It burns so much that I could not wait to pull it off my wrist. I tried pulling it off but it refused. Gina gave me a questionable look and I don't even know how to explain to her that the bracelet is burning my wrist.

    I was struggling with the bracelet to come off when Gina rushed to me and tried to touch the bracelet but screamed.I felt hurt knowing that the bracelet had hurt her. Sharon was confused,she could not tell what's going on by the way she was looking at me.

    The heat was so fast spreading all over my body that I did not know when I tore off my gown. I was craving for cold water but I lost my voice even to ask where the bathroom is. Despite being hurt by the bracelet,Gina made another attempt to help the bracelet off my wrist. By now she and Sharon are aware that my discomfort came from the bracelet on my wrist.

   "I need water"

I managed to utter and continued struggling with the bracelet, Sharon was on her way going to get water Ben barged in on us and rushed to me.

   "Nora, what's the matter?"

He asked with a worried tone, hearing his worried voice I broke down and cried. I can't believe I am being vulnerable in front of him.

    "My body is on fire,I need water to cool my body"

He could not wait for me to finish and he gathered me in his arms and walked out of the sitting room with Gina trailing behind us.

    I clinged to his arm and kept my head on his chest with my eyes tightly closed. The heat increased the more and I whimpered under his arms. I bit my lips and snuggled more to his chest, I did not know what I was doing,I was just doing everything that could make the heat go but no way.

     I don't know if we were traveling to another planet because getting to our destination was impossible or was it because I was in pain that I felt the journey was endless.

    "Hold on sweetheart,we are almost getting to the bathroom"

He whispered and I nodded my head. I felt him open a door and went in after kicking the door open,he walked a few steps and opened another and my instincts told me it could be the bathroom and I was right when he turned on the shower.

    He dropped me and I flicked my eyes open. He was looking so worried,I thought it could be the end of his service to me because he has gotten me to the bathroom so the rest is left for me to do.

   I struggled out of his arms and looked around to search for Gina but could not find her.

   "Thank you Ben but please can you call my friend in to help out here"

He nodded and turned to walk away while I tried pulling my zip down as fast as possible to get myself under the shower.
