Valerie's POV

Most times I can't help but have this feeling that Christine is senseless, someone who's understanding of facts could have known that I needed time to be totally confident and trust in him. But to him, as far as I'm his fiancé, he holds the key to my life. Stupid!

I had to blink twice to be sure that I really heard correctly. Yes, I haven't turned deaf, he said that I wasn't allowed to step out of the room. This is crazy. I feel like giving him a resounding slap, but then I will have to calm my nerves. I did the breathing exercise before looking up at him.

"Christine, I didn't hear what you said? Can you kindly repeat yourself, please?" I asked with a smile.

"You clearly heard what I said, you aren't moving an inch out of this room." I walked towards him and made sure I was standing just an inch away from him.
