Valerie's POV
I remained in the same position with my back still facing him. He asked the same question to me last time, and I don't understand why he is reiterating it. But no matter how many times he asks me, my answer will still be the same. Seriously, right now, I feel like I made the worst mistake of my life by moving in with Christine because it is apparent that my problem multiplied.
"I am not asking you to give me an answer now, but I want to bring to your notice that I will not ask you this question again. After my investigation, if I find out that you are obscuring anything from me, you won't be happy with my reaction. You can use the door." He said with a domineering and authoritative tone as I felt his piercing look at my back.
"I don't know him, believe it or not." I replied when I managed to get my voice from the shock and I turned to look at him, but maybe my facial expressions betrayed me because there wasn't any atom of conviction on his face.
