Chapter 5

Evelyn's POV

We got back to Los Angeles and got to my house I went inside and took a shower and when I came outside my room, Walt was there on my bed.

Immediately he saw me he quickly stood up and hugged me very tightly and I hugged him back I missed him too.

We kissed each other but I quickly broke it off I didn't trust myself well enough.

"How have you been baby?"

I didn't know what to say I had to tell him about the child, he had all right to know about the child, it was his child too.

"Walt, there's something I must tell you, I don't know how this may sound but, the morning when I left for New York I didn't use any meds after our night together.

I fainted 3 days ago and when I got to the hospital the doctor told me I was a week gone, I'm pregnant Walt "

I tried not to look at his face because I was embarrassed.

"What? You are pregnant? This is wonderful news I'm so happy Evelyn "

I was shocked because I never expected him to react that way.

"You are happy?"

"Of course I am, I fell for you from the first day I set my eyes on you and have loved you since then. Evelyn please marry me, I will take care of both you and the child, I will be the man of your dreams the man you have always wanted please let's get married "

Marriage??

Have never thought about getting married at all, I mean I did like Walt and I enjoyed our night together and hoped for more nights like that but I never thought about getting married to him.

I never planned for any of these, not the child, not a man, nothing went as planned.

"Walt as much as I would love to marry you, I can't all of these were never supposed to happen. Not the sex nor the child. Have always had one motive which is to bring my parent's killers to book and take my revenge on them for ruining my life"

"Let's be together till you fulfill your motive and the child is born if you want we could agree, we could sign a contract let's get married for just a year, let me help you please Evelyn, let me help you get your revenge. And let me you throughout the pregnancy, it's not easy to be pregnant and running around with no one to help you. Please come on, you could invite your lawyer over and we will get the paperwork done and I promise you that in that one year, we will both join our heads together and get those killers out I promise you"

He looked very serious and for some reason, I believed him but it wasn't enough reason to marry him.

Then I thought about what my aunty said about collecting my father's property, I knew she was serious about it, and what if she collected the property by force because my child was yet to be born?

Why not marry Walt for a year and get all that I need and want? I mean Walt isn't a bad idea, he's every woman's dream Man, and having a man like that by my side for the one next year wouldn't be a bad idea.

"Fine, I will marry you, Walt Andrews, but you have to keep to your promises "

He hugged me and I felt very safe in his arms.

We decided to call the lawyer to sign the contract and after a week the lawyer came we both explained everything to him and we told him the wedding was going to be 2 weeks from then. And we would sign the contract then.

I explained everything to Chloe and told her only I, Walt, and she knew about the marriage and that it was a contract marriage.

Walt took me out on a date first we went out to see movies and then to eat and when we got back to his house. we watched some Netflix and we made love, it was so sweet and it felt like his shaft became longer.

It was a week before the wedding and I told Walt about how have always wanted my dream wedding to be and he promised to make it come to life. He traveled to bring his family and friends over for the wedding, even if it was just a contract marriage we prepared for it well.

I was one month pregnant but you wouldn't notice a thing.

Walt's family came my aunt and her children also came I needed them to be there to see me getting married to Walt Andrews, my sexy hot next-door neighbor.

It was chaos in my house with Chloe and my aunt as they both hated each other while I and Joy kept avoiding each other it was obvious she was jealous of me and I enjoyed her tears so much.

It was the day of my wedding but Walt was nowhere to be found.

We were all ready I was still in the bridal room when Chloe told me Walt was missing and his phone had been off.

I had so many thoughts in my head, where could he be? Did he change his mind? What happened?

His mum came to me and asked if we had any argument maybe during the bachelor Eve that's the night before the wedding day and I said no.

Nothing happened between me, and, Walt he had his bachelor's Eve and I had my bridal shower party too. We even met after the party and he promised me so many things.

So what might have happened? Did something come up I hoped he was fine. I was so scared and I began to panic but Chloe was there to cheer me up I didn't know what to think or to do.

Then just immediately the gardener ran to the room and told us he found a dead body outside.
