CHAPTER 9:

Seeing Mr Robinson leave Klara in shock, she wanted to run away as a reflex, But she was too drunk. Klara didn't know what happened or what took over her , maybe it was the alcohol. She jumped on his body and hugged him, inhaling his scent, shocking Jace.

"What happened to you ?" Jace asked, smelling the alcohol on her . Meanwhile, the man Klara was resting on looked shocked at their interaction wondering who this man was.

"Klara, do you know him ?" The man asked with jealousy evident in his voice seeing their interaction. He had been in love with Klara throughout his school life but he couldn't find the courage to confess to her. He had planned the truth and dare game to have some good time with her, And her being drunk seemed like the perfect advantage.

But now his plan was ruined by this unknown man.

"Sir, she is too drunk, I can manage her myself " he said, pulling away from the man(Jace) .

As Klara was being pulled from his body he (Jace) gave him a glare which scared the shit out of the man. Making him back off nervously, though reluctantly.

Once he saw the man left, Jace then picked Klara and Carried her out of the restaurant, not without bidding a quick farewell .

Jace then put Klara into his car;

"Drive" he ordered

Then the driver started the car and zoomed off.

As the car zoomed off, Jace took a few moments to observe her. Seeing her again after so many years, he was fascinated how her face had matured, still retaining her innocence and beauty .

"Mmm…" Klara mumbled something in her drunken state pursuing her lips. Seeing her pouty red lip unable to resist , he leaned down and kissed deeply, nearly suffocating Klara.

"Aaaa …..can't breathe," mumbled Klara, feeling suffocated.

The driver , shocked seeing the scene, missed the right time to press the brake which made the car shake, nearly throwing Klara on the floor but with Jace quick reflexes he caught her on time.

Receiving a glare from Jace, which gave him a chill down his spine

"Am sorry sir" he apologized quickly

Jace ignored him, he didn't have time to properly lecture a driver, instead focusing on making Klara was alright.

When they finally arrived at the villa, Jace got out of the car carrying an unconscious Klara.

He brought her to the guest room and ordered the maid to bathe and dress her.

The water made her stir, but she was too tired and drunk to fully wake up.

The next morning, Klara felt the sunlight peeking through the curtains, and Klara opened her eyes trying to adjust to the light. Slowly opening her eyes she looked around her and realized she wasn't at the hotel.

She jumped up immediately, but a headache , instantly bringing all yesterday memory, shocked she remembered jumping on Mr Robinson (Jace) and being carried into the car;

"Oh, wait don't tell me am in his place" she gasped,

After reaching the conclusion that she was in Mr Robinson(Jace) house. she quickly packed her things and tiptoed trying to sneak out.

"Is that how you thank me for helping ? Or do you always run away just like how you ran away that night?" A familiar voice said behind her, she turned to see Jace and she went pale with the memory of that night.

"Umm ….., thanks for yesterday, but I have to go" she quickly said and dashed off not waiting for his response

" Do you think you can keep running away?" I have given you enough chances now it's too late" Jace said smirking.

"Sir, you have a meeting today," his assistant said, interrupting his thoughts.

"Alright, let's go" he answered while his assistant stood in one wondering who stirred such intensity in his boss.

Meanwhile, Klara ran as fast, she suddenly remembered instantly that Maya didn't know where she was. When she tried to switch on her phone, she realized the battery was dead. Spotting a taxi, passing her she hailed it and gave her direction

In the car Klara thought were consumed with Mr Robinson (Jace) and everything that had happened.

"Madam, we have arrived," the driver said, breaking her thought.

"Oh, thanks for the ride, keep the change" Klara said paying the man.

" Thank you," he said, thanking her for the tip.

"No problem," Klara said, heading inside Maya's aunt's house.

As she was about to knock, she heard someone crying recognizing the voice, she knocked more urgently.

"Who is it" josh asked,

"It's mom, open the door why is Aria crying"

Klara asked worriedly as she entered into the house

"Mummy, where were you ? I thought you had abandoned us like dad! you promised to come yesterday" Aria said running straight into her mum's hand.

Hearing this, she was stunned.Hugging her tightly she assured her; "I Will never abandon you where did you get that idea from, something came up so I couldn't pick you up. Am sorry"

"Mummy you promise you won't leave us, we don't have a dad so we can't lose you too mom" Aria said trying to confirm whether I would abandon them. Her words pierced me, she wondered how she would ever explain that their father hadn't abandoned them , he didn't even know of their existence.

Josh, noticing the guilt on his mother's face went into thought wondering what his mother was feeling guilty about. He will have to ask Robert what he has uncovered from his investigation.

"Where is Gabriel?" Klara asked when she couldn't see the silly second child.

"Oh, that boy played games all day yesterday, so he is sleeping now," someone said.

Hearing the voice, I remembered we weren't the only ones here, I couldn't believe I forgot Maya's aunt.

" Thank you so much for taking of them while I was away" Klara said thanking her

" No problem. I loved enjoyed their company, it's lonely staying alone and Maya hardly visits " she said

I smiled, liking her motherly warmth.

"Josh, go wake up your brother. it's time to go"

"Ok, mommy ". Josh replied dutifully
