And it Begins

Vampire, a word, a name, a race that has put the fear of god into humans since the beginning of time, for a while they were thought to be mythical, figments of the imagination, something to scare unruly children. That lasted for a couple of centuries up until the point where the vampires decided to correct the thought and it was done in a very dominating manner; on a sunny Monday afternoon during a public address by the President of the United States of America, the president was killed by a vampire who identified himself as Godric claiming to be the herald of an ancient vampire called Ea who was named after the king of the gods in Mesopotamian myth or is it the other way around, Godric claimed that Ea was tired of his race hiding away from what he considers nothing more than food and has decided to drag vampires into the light whether they liked it or not and it seems he has a lot of supporters who didn't do anything previously due to a lack of a strong and powerful leader.

It has been 30 years since that 2018 afternoon and the world is not the same it was, different new buildings dedicated to serving vampires specifically popped up, vampires have become a normal part of society in a way, before the vampires "came out of the coffin" coining a term from the popular vampire novels "the southern vampire stories" the main issues in society had to do with race, sexual orientation, gender equality but now the issues have to deal with whether humans should be considered equal citizens with vampires and whether turned vampires are equal to born vampires. The questions asked now are: if a vampire kills a human, is it murder or just animal cruelty, is it slavery for a vampire to own humans who serve has nothing more than livestock, is it kidnapping if a vampire takes liking to a human and decides to turn their human against their will, all these questions and more have been asked but all have been answered in a very simple way; vampires are the superior race and in they see humans the same way humans see cattle, so if it isn't considered murder for a human to kill a cow, why is it murder for a vampire to kill a human, also if it is not considered kidnapping if a human takes liking to a stray dog and decides to make it his, how is it kidnapping for a vampire to take a human as his.

During these three decades, humans have done what humans do best, adapt, humans have adapted and readjusted to the fact that they are no longer top of the food chain and there is nothing they can do about it, of course there will always be rebels and so called revolutionaries who will not accept this fact and have come up with different ways to terrorize the world in a bid to change the status quo, so far they have been largely incompetent and have not achieved anything worthy of note and it is exactly in such a situation that our story begins.
