The setting sun casted a picturesque scene over the gently bobbing waters of the Atlantic Ocean as the waves cascaded against the sandy shores of the island, depositing with them yet another body.
Sighing as he treated to himself to a heaping bowl of ramen, Saitama watched the waning sunlight from the roof of his newly-acquired mansion, where a mountain of corpses lay scattered around the country from the day's victory.
"Uh, boss? There's a lot of growling and moaning coming from the garage," Dabi called up to the bald villain from the ground.
"Ohhh, the new guards must be done! Alright, open it up!" Saitama exclaimed.
Shrugging, the blue flame villain yanked open the garage door, where almost immediately, several of the prisoners from within lunged at him. Jumping back to avoid their grasp, Dabi noticed that they all appeared decayed and heavily injured, with tears in their rotted-looking flesh as they stumbled towards the man while letting out animalistic growls through slacked jaws.
"What the hell happened to these guys?" Dabi asked as his hand became ignited in flames, where he held it up to the walking corpses as they continued to go after him.
"HAHA cool, it's just what I'd hoped for. Zombies!" Saitama clapped excitedly as the garage emptied, and the 20 or so prisoners that had been kept in there began to stagger out and stumble towards the jungle in search of food. "These little fellas are gonna be the guards of this island and as an added bonus, they'll find any civilians who survived my takeover of this place, and then their chompy, diseased mouths will convert them into new undead soldiers!"
"Sick plan," Dabi smirked as he hopped onto the garage to avoid the several zombies that were going after him. "I was wondering what you were planning on doing with those soldiers than you made us round up."
His bald head turning to face the horizon, Saitama watched as a distant figure drew closer and closer. His skin-tight suit a shiny gold and blue, the blonde-haired man gently touched down outside the tree line a good distance from the mansion, a white flag draped over his arm.
"H-hey, I don't wanna fight, I'm just a messenger," Booster Gold stammered as he raised his arms in surrender.
"If I wanted you dead, I'd have done it before you could even see this island!" the bald clown smirked, before putting his bare hands on his hips. "What can I do for you, mister sparkly?"
"Well, I just need to confirm the annihilation of the landing forces as well as the deaths of some of the heroes that we sent here…" Booster replied as he lifted off the ground. "Are they- are they really all dead? Our last reports from Superman said that he'd found the bodies of-"
"He's dead too, but a part of me is already regretting using his weakness to kill him," Saitama replied with a sigh as he looked towards a rudimentary pile of corpses that the zombies were beginning to feast on. "He was fun! HAHA, why did I go ahead and destroy my new toy?"
"Oh God- he's dead too?" the golden hero shuddered as his face fell into horror. "Geez, well I'm also here to start the conversation about a possible peace treaty with the rest of the world. If the United Nations, Superheroes, everyone leaves this island alone…will you stop the killing and be able to peacefully co-exist with this world?"
Faster than the human eye could perceive, Saitama was suddenly right in front of Booster Gold. Placing a powerful hand on the hero's shoulder, the villain's mouth contorted into a huge, menacing grin.
"No," the caped baldy stated flatly, before laughing at Booster's fearful expression. "Tell your people that I will do what I want, when I want. Sure, I'll probably just hang out on this island for a while, but I'll eventually get bored. Once I get bored, who knows what I'll do? HAHA! Maybe I'll destroy a country, maybe I'll punch a hole in the Earth's crust. Maybe I'll push the moon into the planet just for a laugh!"
"W-well what if we gave you whatever you want?" the hero asked, scratching the back of his head. "I mean, you'd never need money again, our governments can make sure that you live the best life unhindered."
This statement appealed to a side of Saitama that had since been hidden from the world: bargains involving food.
"You can start by shipping me a ton of food, like give me anything that you can think of," the bald clown demanded with a grin. "Those supplies will satisfy me…for a week! I'll probably have more demands next time!"
"Right…gotcha!" Booster said through a weak smile as he lifted back into the air using his future tech. "Uhhh we'll be in touch then, you can probably expect that food and supplies by tomorrow!"
Flying away from Dominica as quickly as possible, Booster Gold felt shame at being so terrified of the bald villain's presence, where he regretted not doing the brave thing and at least defiantly attacking Saitama, regardless of how futile it would be. Knowing that some of the strongest members of the Justice League were dead was an incredibly disturbing thought, however, where the golden hero wondered if the otherworldly visitor was simply unbeatable.
Although his mission was primarily to start negotiations with Saitama, Booster had an ulterior motive as well. Shrunken down to the size of a dust mite, practically invisible to the human eye, Ray Palmer, aka Atom, had used his suit's size-changing power while clinging to his fellow hero so that he could disembark on the island without anyone noticing. Now standing amidst a giant forest of grass, the miniscule superhero prepared to start his mission as the world's eyes and ears on the island.
"Hey…I'm in," Ray communicated into his ear piece, confirming to Booster that he'd landed. "I'm going to lay low in the guy's mansion for now, I'll let you know if anything big happens."
Using his suit's flight abilities, the tiny man flew through a cracked window in the expansive house to sit and wait for further developments. He could already see that the bald villain had done something to surviving landing forces, where he watched from above as the bloody, mangled zombies that were still dressed in military uniforms stumbled around and began spreading out into the jungles.
"Well, make yourself at home, Dabi, this whole island is ours now!" Saitama exclaimed with a smile as he walked around back to the mansion backyard, where a Jacuzzi was revealed to be. "Oohhh look at all this luxury, I'll have to get used to this!"
Although it was exciting see just how world-renowned that his new boss had already become, Dabi couldn't help but wonder how long it would take before the bald villain became bored, and when that happened, what would become of Earth?
