One Last Merchant

Magic is not real. Monster that defy logics should not exist. Yet, I cannot refute what is before my very eyes. What my mangled body has told me through painful experiences. What my dying mind has comprehended with my last willpower. The world that I have once lived in changed abruptly one day, and the new era dawned for the human race. It is done by the hands of those who are known as Rulers. They call it mercy, but I know it is a game to them. If they truly wish to help the human race, then there surely a better way than sacrificing billions to uplift the selected few. The Zoning Events was set in stone, and the dimensional barrier collapses, allowing the monsters that we could never hope to defeat with our current technology to enter our universe. Allowing horrifying worlds and landscapes to merge with our own. And through blood, sweat, and fear, we understand that our science cannot truly surpass the natural law of the universe. Only through magic, the human race might survive. Only through magic, a better future can be reached. Everything has its price, and no price is too great for the second chance. This is the story of the last Merchant. One Last Merchant. *** Disclaimer: This story contains graphical sex scenes and depictions of torture! Please enjoy! Ways to Claim Ownerships

While it is true that I cannot sell things that I do not own to the Shop System without having access to the Black Market, it is also true that in order to retain ownership of something, you have to be amongst the living first.

And a lot of people are no longer alive (or in a state of dead) thanks to the monsters.

That allows me to claim ownerships, and with ownerships, I can sell them. The parking lots are stacked with vehicles of all sort. Some are luxury cars, fetching for a nice price.

"What the fuck!?" Alex calls out as a car vanishes before his eyes. This time, however, I will give him a straight answer in the most simplest way I know how.

"I sold it," I state and continue to do what I am doing.

"You sold it?" Thomas quirks his eyebrows, as he watches me makes another car disappears into thin air. The others also watch me in bewilderment.

"Yes," I answer simply and check my wealth. Most cars only worth about 5,000 GPs, but some do fetch for a much higher price. While that does sound like a lot money, my original wealth was immeasurable, as it cannot be expressed in mere numbers.

"Hey. That's my car," Thomas calls out when I touch another vehicle. "Please don't make it disappears, or my dad will kill me."

I eye him with a smirk. While I wanted to, I cannot since Thomas is still alive, and therefore, the vehicle still has an owner and not free for me to claim as my own. Of course, there are other ways of claiming ownerships without having the owner dead. "Can I have it?"

"What? No," Thomas snorts.

"It will just get destroyed here, and if you give it to me, I can give it back to you later. With all of your belongings inside too," I tell him. What were sold can be brought again, but at a much higher premium.

Thomas narrows his eyes while debating with himself internally. "Alright but promise me you will give it back later."

"Sure," I response. I will as long as he is still alive. If he is dead, I do not need to keep that promise. As he grants me ownership, I can now sell his car, and I smile at the 6 figures. His car worth 283,211 GPs even though its value does not worth that much to me.

To Thomas, however, it is worth a lot more, hence its price from the Shop System.

My smile turns to frown when I note how much it would cost me to buy back. 11 million GPs. That is fucking insane. I shrug afterwards and continue to sell as much things as possible. "Oh, by the way, if you guys have something you want me to keep safe for you, feel free to give them to me."

"Um. You will give them back later, Zander?" Alice questions.

"Yes," I tell her and accept a pen. A very worn out pen. "This belongs to your late mother, isn't it?"

"How did you… oh," Alice remembers that we were a couple in another timeline, and as a couple, I do a lot about her. "Please keep it safe for me."

"I will," I assure her and sell it to the Shop System for a nice 8 figures. Mementos are truly priceless.

I hope that you enjoy the chapter.
